Melody is the best! Wish she was there the first two times I went.. Found her on my third frazzled and frustrated visit there. This place is disorganized on the weekends and the first salesperson to help me got the wrong sizes, seemed super unhappy, kept disappearing to put away other people's stuff and then didn't record the one bit of information I asked her too. The alterations department is just as bad. I was supposed to get my dress weeks ago and it took 3 times to get my dress home without rips in the tulle. Saving money has a price. Pro-tip: Only go on Mon-Thurs. Make an appointment. You have to mostly self-direct. Other than the one amazing employee who helped me, I encountered 3-4 others that seemed totally clueless. My sister is getting married in June, and she had a dress fitting in Alabama at David's Bridal. Unfortunately, I couldn't attend due to the distance. I made an appointment to try on the dress my sister selected for the bridesmaids at the David's Bridal location near the Regency Mall. I called a few days a head to schedule an appointment and ensure that the dress was in. I was told they had my size in. When I got there I was helped promptly which was nice. I showed the dress to the associated, and she quickly went to get the dress without really looking at the picture I showed her. When she came back I noticed that it was the wrong dress, so I showed her again. She apologized and went to get the dress but came back with nothing. She couldn't find the dress, so she asked another associate who helped her find the dress. When they came back they had a dress available that I could not fit. They recommended I try on the wrong dress previously found, but the sizes weren't comparable to the dress I needed because those sizes were in odd numbers instead of even. They then recommended I get measured. I'm between sizes, so they gave me the option to get the smaller size or larger size. I decided to do the larger size and get the dressed tailored. I didn't feel very confident on my choice because I didn't try on the dress, but this was the dress my sister chose, so I went a head and purchased. When it was time to pay, I told them I had two coupons to use on the dress. They would only honor one. My internet wasn't acting properly on my phone, so I couldn't show them the discount with both coupons online, so I reluctantly purchased at the store. I was told the dress would be in sometime in March, and I would have to pick up at the store. I initially went with what was said, but when I got outside I got on my phone to purchase online and was able to use both my discounts and get free deliver for early February. I went back into the store and canceled my order. My dress came yesterday, and it will definitely need alternation. read more

After reading all the reviews, I was nervous. I am fortunate enough to be a teacher and have summers off. This gave me the opportunity to schedule an appointment on a weekday and as soon as they open. From the moment we walked into the door, every staff member was friendly and pleasant. My stylist was Charity, and she was phenomenal! She gave me time and space to look at dresses I wanted and gave me plenty of suggestions. Because they weren't busy, I was able to get undivided attention long after my appointment ended and I said "yes to the dress"! So pleased with my experience!! read more

I was so disappointed in our prom gown shopping experience. The sales people were not helpful at all. In my previous experience at this store up north they were so nice and would help you pick out gowns in your size and bring you options to try. Not at this location. The store was empty but they placed us in fitting room right next to a bride trying on gown, who they also didn't help at all, so we had to walk back around entire store to get more dresses so as not to bother the bride. I was so disappointed in our shopping experience and will never return! read more

In the continuing quest to find a bridesmaid dress, we made an appointment at David's Bridal for the time they open. We all got there on time and were amazed by the selection. Holy crap, no wonder why the bride-to-be said that this location is better. Not only is the store bigger but the rows and rows of dresses were expansive. We were assigned to consultant Melinda, who was very, very helpful and picking out dresses with us. I felt kinda bad at her running back and forth between the 3 of us bridesmaids and the dress racks. After about an hour of searching, we all agreed on the perfect dress that complimented each of us and made the bride-to-be happy. An hour or 2 after opening the place was getting extremely busy. We were told we where lucky to make appointments as they were booked solid for the next couple of weekends. We ordered our dresses and were excited that we would be getting them just in time for the wedding. I would have given this visit 5 stars but I couldn't because when the bride asked about finding a dress in her size and price range, we got another consultant Karen, who appeared a little snotty towards us as if we weren't her kind of clientele. I will admit we were a motley crew of ladies with piercings, tattoos, girlfriends, of average to plus-size shapes but we still expect to be treated equally. While she did help the bride-to-be find a dress and order it in her size and the color she wanted, as we were leaving the store I saw her whisper something to another consultant and she in turn watched us walk out the door. There was no need for that. Big kudos to Melinda for her help. I wish she could have helped the bride instead of Karen. read more

Sometimes yahl are okay sometimes yahl are not. There was a pregnant lady when I came in November and she was awesome. Everybody that day was awesome but then there was a manager who was rude on October 25th, 2020 and I just was not having it. When we did the credit card check she did not think we was going to get it. SURPRISE! We did. I swear I thought she was racist. ma'am ? calm down. It's a hit and miss. The lady who direct you where to go ALWAYS has attitude. PERIODT. All I was trying to do is find a dress, without the attitude and she's the first person we speak to. Deleted and reposting here: After doing some shopping around for a simple, yet classy, courthouse wedding dress, we were actually headed to the Avenues and I had totally forgotten that this David's Bridal location was here. We turned into the parking lot and walked in. Somewhat familiar after just getting fitted for my bridesmaid dress for a different wedding, I did let them know I was here without an appointment, but needed assistance finding a dress. I even had a picture of one that I had been eying online, and explained to the gal what exactly I was looking for.... She saw the picture and sighed out loud. "Oh that's been discontinued and on the clearance rack." Ok... so we found it and then let her know I wanted to look at other similar styles, but was just pointed to the back corner of the store.... "short dresses are in the back" and left on my own. Maybe I was just a bit tired from all the shopping around we had been doing. The sales gal did actually get me a fitting room, after I interrupted her conversation with her friend. I found one more possibility on my own, and tried a few on. I even helped myself to the accessories and actually found a dress that could work! So, I just took a picture of the model number and size, and out the door we walked, as the sales gals at the counter were too busy talking to each other to even care So now that I've *probably* found it, I'll either head to another location or order online. I don't like writing a negative review, and I do understand that I did walk in without an appointment. (But dang, you aren't a high end boutique here!) I visited David's Bridal 01/11. I really like this store, it's a large shop and has a great selection! I worked with Aline and she was amazing! She gave me her honest opinion and made wonderful suggestions! The have their catalogs there so I could point out dresses that I liked. Sometimes the racks seem overwhelming to me, and Aline pulled all my dresses and suggested dresses based on things I liked or didn't like in previous dresses. I've been to the shop on the weekends and during the week, and they can be very busy. I would always suggest an appointment. Saturdays are busiest, so try to go mid week if you're looking for a quieter experience. Oh, the dresses are wonderfully priced too, they're from 300-1200, I think? So I could look at everything there and still stay within my budget! A note on sizing- They've got dresses in sizes 0-26 and they have petite and womens sizing. These dresses aren't just available to order, they're actually in the store in your size! None of the other bridal shops in town offer petites, and since I'm 5'1" this is great! Most of the other shops, carry mainly 10s and 12s so these dresses are always huge on me, and even when they're clipped back it's not as easy to imagine what it will really look like. Another thing about dresses not in petites, when they hem them they take up the skirt, but that doesn't change how far down on your hip the bodice will fall. Since they have petites the bodice is actually shortened too! I've found this makes a difference in how the dress looks on me, and it doesn't cost extra to get a petites gown. read more

The alternations manager helped me and I walked out in the middle of my appointment crying. She trash talked my dress, laughed at my shoes, and body shamed me. She made comments on my breasts and how they wouldn't look good in my dress unless I duck taped them and added straps to my dress. I'm a G cup and she told me I needed to make a D work because that's all she had to offer me. The bottom of my dress wasn't straight when she pinned it (touching the ground on one side and and inch off the ground on the other side) and she got annoyed that I asked her to redo it. She said that's how it's supposed to be. I wish I had counted the number of times she rolled her eyes at me. After being stuck by a pin for the 3rd time, I had her remove everything and left with my dress. When I spoke to the manager on my way out he told me "I'm sorry that happened to you." in baby talk. I've heard horrible stories of DB and now I have one of my own. read more

My friend who is getting married was very excited when we entered the store, only to leave disappointed because we were ignored! Never going back to this Davids Bridal. She found the dress she wanted to try but could barely get there attention that her spirit was affected. She left so I excited that it prompted me to write about it. Only reason they got two stars is because there were two ladies who actually were helpful. One of them was on their way out for dinner though. & the other wasn't a stylist. We talked in. Alex walks up to us, asked us how she could help but wasn't actually interested in how she could help. She was pre-occupied with some other woman and would answer with one word answers. & every time I talked about a dress she wouldn't even walk back over to see what it looked like. She was helping some high school girls look for prom dresses and you could tell the moms and daughters didn't need help, yet she stayed over there. The assistant store manager Blerina Karameti was just the same. They both staying with the two girls who didn't need assistance when one could have come over to help us in Bridal. Very rude, dismissive and unhelpful! To be honest, if we are looking about Bridal wear, we were planning to spend way more than those prom gowns! Very disappointed in both ladies ! They should have better customer service when working in a shop that supplies the most important thing for a woman's big day! read more

A great experience start to finish thanks to my new friend Carol. I live in Los Angeles and had picked 2 dresses at my local David's Bridal. I had yet to make my final decision and wanted my mom to be involved, so we decided to hit the local store while I was visiting my parents in Palm Coast for the holiday weekend. I'd be flying out of Jacksonville so it made sense to make an appointment at this location. Since I'd shopped at another location I was already in their system, so the Jacksonville store already knew what I was looking for. They only had one of the dresses in the store, but we just ended up having fun and trying on some other styles. Carol was outstanding. Her mellow vibe and easy demeanor were a perfect match for me. (As opposed to the nice-but-a-little-too-perky-thank-you-very-much sales rep I was assigned at the Burbank, CA store.) She was so helpful and patient, pulling veils, belts and headpieces until I ended up ringin' the bell for the dresses I'd originally tried on in L.A.! All in all, it was a great experience. Mom and I got to be all bridey and teary together, the prices were totally reasonable, the transaction was effortless and I can't wait for my dress to arrive on my doorstep. For a commercial store, you get about what you would expect. I made an appt online, which strangely disappeared. Despite that, I was still able to get a consultant on a busy Saturday afternoon. She was nice, and for the most part listened to what my 'vision' was. But towards the end, she disappeared, helping her next appt. (which may not have been all her fault, since the front desk people most likely double booked her) The inventory at the store is horrendous. They don't carry any of their higher priced designers advertised online. So they really have the basics and best sellers, which was disappointing. I also don't like that they push their own alterations people, who will basically fix rips and cinch in or let out. If you want to personalize your dress and make modifications, you have to bring it to outside seamstresses because they don't allow you to 'alter the design'. It was also soooo busy there was literally NO privacy. I basically modeled all of my dresses for 4-5 other groups, which was overwhelming and frankly a little embarrassing. I quickly learned why most brides prefer the boutiques...much more personal than these kind of 'commercial guys'. read more

This is by far the best David's Bridal that I have worked with. The customer service is outstanding. My local DB located the dress in the size that I want from this DB. I called the store and immediately they helped me with the transaction. Since I was purchasing this dress based off the internet photo, she was able to describe the dress to me a little bit more. After her helpfulness I paid for the dress over the phone and they were to ship the dress to me that day. 5 minutes later, I received a call from them that the dress had a tear and that she will take it to alterations to get it repaired. The dress was to be ready on Friday and on Friday I received a courtesy call that the dress will be sent. I am very pleased with the store. The follow up calls showed me that they really genuinely cared. read more

Be warned they use bait and switch tactics. They will tell you that if you buy the dress alterations will cost one amount, the day you come in for alterations they will try to double it and tell you that they do not have time for you. First off, I came in without an appointment and Rachel who was the gal up front who assisted me helped me and got me in with a consultant, Rachel was super approachable and not stuck up at all like other David's I've been too in WA. The consultant I worked with today was Chanel! She was super sweet, very knowledgable and helpful! I was able to find the dress and get fitted for it. Mind you I'm getting this dress because I'm matron of honor for my best friends wedding in August! I was one of the few girls to order the dress last. Aline was the girl who rung me up, she was on the telephone when I approached her and wasn't rude at all and let me know she would be with me as soon as she was off the phone. Upon returning to order the dress, I was having a lot of trouble finding the dress in extra length. Blerina was assisting me with this and she was beyond exceptional in helping me find a dress that would work in time for the wedding since I could not get a long enough length. Also, a lady working there named Corina was amazing at helping out too. She gave great ideas on how to maximize the length of the dress I ended up ordering. I've been shopping around for a Military Ball gown, and it's been a little stressful to say the least. HOWEVER, I stopped by David's Bridal this afternoon and fell in love. I've been to other bridal shops, and the customer service is always decent. Today I worked with Krishan, and he was absolutely amazing! He listened to what I was looking for, pulled everything I asked, and even pushed me to try things that would normally be out of my comfort zone. Of course David's bridal offers a huge selection I started sharing with Mary what my intentions were for style and color and she immediately went to work to accommodate. She gathered dresses I gathered dresses and we started the procesd of elimination. She was very confident in her approach of what was a good fit and style for my body type. As well as making sure the delivery date would accommodate the wedding date upcoming. She was very personable and made sure she offered undergarments that would give the best fit. I have dealt with quite a few different David's Bridal locations and this was the worst by far. I have bought formal dresses at one in Illinois and bought my bridal gown in Colorado and it always went great. This store I came in for an appointment to pick out a bridesmaid dress for a wedding I am in and the staff were horrible. They acted like I was bothering them when I wanted to try on dresses or get a different size. I honestly felt like I wanted to cry when I left. I did not want to buy a dress from them but had to pick out one in a certain color that the bride had picked out so I had to use a David's. I went to a different David's Bridal farther away on Southside Blvd and had a wonderful experience there where I ultimately purchased a dress. I don't know what the deal is with this location but it was not welcoming. I'm glad I was just picking out a bridesmaid dress and feel bad for any brides getting this treatment. read more

Do not go to this location (9990 Southside Blvd) for your special day ladies. An awful experience for my fiancé. My fiancé had set up an appointment for 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon. She was already stressed about looking for a dress. She was told that her consultant would be with her shortly. Approximately 10 minutes later the consultant walks up to the front and introduces himself. My fiancé and I were thrown back by this that her consultant was male. She had told him that she needed to be fitted for the undergarments and she had a certain budget that she wanted to stay under. She had also given him a list of 13 dresses that she wanted to try on. He walked her over to the dresses and walked off. Approximately 20 minutes later, he shows back up and has 2 dresses for her and has her follow him to the dressing rooms. The undergarments that he picked for her didn't fit and it took another 15 minutes to find him so he could get a different size. He disregarded everything she had told him and brought whatever he wanted to her. The consultant told my fiancé that they didn't have any of the dresses on the list. She even showed him pictures of dresses from their website and he continually told her that they didn't have those dresses. He told her that he was helping another bride to find her dress as well. Within the 90 minute window slotted for my fiancé to find her dress, the consultant only brought her 4 dresses. He didn't even ask her anything about shoes or anything else. Her best friend's daughter found a veil for her that matched the dress. The bride in the next dressing room that he was helping had everything from him helping her. This caused my fiancé to cry over her experience. The consultant told her that a dress she saw and wanted to try on was out of her price range and that she wouldn't be able to afford it that. He brought her the wrong size dresses knowing what size she was. My fiancé had asked me to go get coffee for her, her friend and step mom. When I returned, the consultant yelled at me saying that coffee wasn't allowed back by the dressing rooms and the drinks had to be left at the front counter. When everyone else had their drinks back there. The dress that my fiancé settled on was one that her friend and family had found. The consultant paid more attention to the other bride the whole time. My fiancé emailed the business with her complaint and received a phone call from the manager. The manager seemed like she was in a hurry to get off of the phone more than she was willing to help out or be apologetic about her experience. My fiancé and I went to the David's Bridal at Regency for the undergarments a few days later, and the manager at that location was very helpful. My fiancé also found a dress that was on her list inside of that location. My fiancé felt like she was hit in the face by a book when she saw the dress. I told the manager that her help was appreciated and that my fiancé should have been helped that way at the other location on Southside Blvd. read more

I went here with my daughter on Friday with four other family members and we had the best experience! My daughter told Cindy what she liked and didn't like and Cindy pulled dresses off the racks and she picked a dress my daughter would have never picked out just by looking at it in the bag.
