I had great service picking out my dress, after finding it, it had makeup stains on it and they said they would dry clean it, I told them 3 times and they didn't get it cleaned, also I went back to get it fitted and let's just say they lost my dress, few minutes later it took 5 people to find it!!! So I put my dress on to get it fitted and before telling me a somewhat price, they cut my dress and told me it was going to cost $459 , like really!!! I had a budget and they made me feel like the fitting was included because I bought it from them. I went and picked my dress up and the lady didn't care to have me try it on before walking out. Anyways I then tried on my " finished " dress and good thing my maid of honor caught it before I did, there was still a needle in it. So for starters they need to make it clear that fitting is an additional cost up front and clean the dress when they said they would!!!!! read more

Your store lost a sale of 8 dresses today. Sidney at the Baton Rouge location was extremely rude and didn't help us. We did everything ourselves and had to constantly go find her on her phone at the register. She refused to take the blame for her rudeness, instead she charged at us. We asked for a manager who didn't assist us either. If I could give a negative 5, I would. We drive 1.5 hours to your Baton Rouge location and received the worst service ever. We arrived a little early and started looking at dresses for my bridesmaids while we waited. I attempted to pay on my bridal gown, but the manager walked away, never came back. At our appointment time, a young black girl came and stated, "They told me to come over here and I guess I have to work with you." She walked us to the dressing rooms and left us to try on dresses alone. I had to keep going to find her for questions, she was on her phone at the desk. We finished in about 10 minutes but waited around thinking she was finding sizes, colors, and order info for us. I asked to try my dress on with veils and she stated yes. But I had to not only find my dress on the rack, I had to put it on myself. I called her to help and she didn't even want to do that. After we were done and ready to place orders, we found her again on her phone in the front of the store. We asked for a manager, so she became extremely rude, charging at us as we left the store devastated by the treatment we endured. She even yelled that we went over on our time but we were out of the store exactly an hour after she met up with us while other brides before us had an hour and a half.  I no longer want the bridal gown I put on layaway. I am so disgusted at being treated so badly. I plan to find another dress somewhere else and return my order. read more

My initial consult was perfect. My sales lady took time with me before I said yes to the dress. She made sure I had what I wanted and how I wanted and stayed in my set budget. My bridesmaids tried on dresses the same day and my only annoyance was we tried on multiple dresses for them and finally found the one. Get to the front and she says oh oops this one doesn't come in the color you need. So we went a little darker bc we were all exhausted. I didn't let it stress me too much bc we could kind of play with our blues for the wedding. My dress came in early and was great. The problem was when I came to pick it up the sales lady told me ok go to this room and try it on. No help like the first time. Well I became frustrated bc I couldn't get it like the way I tried it on so I just packed it up and drove to my grandmothers to try it on. Luckily nothing was wrong and it fit but it would have been nice to have help just like I did in the beginning. I mean this is a big day and all. I would recommend though even with a three star review. Just bring somebody with you when it's time to pick up your dress and go to the bridal shows. I've never bought a wedding dress, but I have modeled plenty of dresses from here in 6 different Baton Rouge bridal shows. They have beautiful dresses in all kinds of styles. They have designer gowns and off the rack gowns. I loved the dresses I wore in the show. They were beautiful! They also have a great selection of veils, tiaras and jewelry for weddings too. I bought a pair of white ballet slippers 6 years ago from here to wear in the shows and they were so comfortable. I'm still wearing them now. Two days ago I also went to get fitted for a bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding. I was greeted right when I walked in the door by a friendly employee. She then directed me to a sales lady that helped me get fitted. She was friendly and helped me with the ordering process. When I get married one day, I'm pretty sure this is where i would want to get my dress from! read more

The managers Shelby and Jessica were both absolutely rude to my stylist, whom was VERY helpful and did exactly what I needed her to! Shelby and I then got into an altercation because when checking out after finding THE ONE, my size was not available. However that was not the problem, when she came to the register she, with a horrible attitude, stated we can't order it. And then as she began to do things on the computer my stylist stated my wedding date and the manager than made another room comment. Looking me in my face she said you can either order the size up on the one on the sales floor. Now I was going to still purchase the dress, I asked her if a size down was available (did at this point did not tell me the available sizes) and said NO. I said well I don't want to purchase a dress that could potentially have things wrong with it bc it is used for try ons. She snapped at my stylist AGAIN and said "SHOW ME THE DRESS" stormed off and at this point I had enough. I followed her and said ma'am just cancel it. With and attitude and not even trying to save a sale, turned and said okay fine and continued to walk away. I then stated that she could work on her delivery and she demanded I leave. Yes there was cursing. But a MANAGER should never speak to her employees this way especially in front of a bride. Nor should she be speaking to a Bride the way she did. Then when asked for the corporate number she stated "it's on the website" and walked away never returning from the back of the store. I was there with my friend to get fitted for a bridesmaid dress. The lady (older lady) was just very rude. From the moment we walked in she had this attitude of why are we shopping there because in her mind we couldn't afford it.. Then she was just ugly about special appointments and shopping times. She made me feel uncomfortable with how I looked and she even asked the bride why did she pick that particular dress. Then when we checked out she kept pressuring the bride to purchase the flower girl dress. Once I'm done with what I need to do, I plan on adding this place to my never shop here again list. read more

Wow! What can I say? I made a 6:00pm same day appointment and everyone was so helpful. The kind lady helped me find and try on so many dresses! This was the first time I had ever gone wedding dress shopping and I found the dress!! Since my wedding is 3 months away the only dress I could get would be in store. The dress fit perfect but I wanted a train. So they looked and checked the computer and found ONE dress in my size in Pennsylvania. So they shipped it and now I am waiting for the dress! I use to AVOID Davids Bridal I'll never do that again!! JEWELL with Davids Bridal completely changed my mind about Davids Bridal! We had a bridesmaid nightmare and Jewell very graciously SAVED THE DAY! Myself and another bridesmaids had a MAJOR issue that another louisiana local, well known and highly recommended BRIDAL BOUTIQUE put us in and they were too fancy and busy to help fix. We were in panic mode and searched everywhere for help. We hesitated to turn to Davids Bridal as they were actually our last resort. We walked in thinking that this store would not offer anything to us but we still went in with high hopes. We tried on several dresses and some how GOD literally dropped Jewell out of the sky and placed her right in front of us. She was announcing that the store would be closing for inventory in a few minutes but regardless of her rush she listened to our issue gave us options and her card and told us to come and see her the next day. On the next day Jewell showed us awesome customer service and genuine concern and care. I was so impressed on how she helped us she was actually rather amazing. We had to order three different dresses from three different Davids Bridal locations across the United States for a wedding that was just days away. Jewell gave us options, pulled dress after dress, showed us colors, gave honest opinions, contacted corporate spoke to store after store trying to find sizes, she made us feel comfortable in doing the transaction and helped ease our minds on shipping and sizing. Doing this was not easy for her, she ran into a few set backs with corporate but finally after several failed attempts to get what she needed to help us she came across Lisa Marie with Davids Bridal Corporate office snd she saved the day. Both ladies worked as a power team and we are Grateful and forever will be grateful to these women! We were a difficult bunch with a difficult and complicated situation but the way Jewell embraced us and handled us, you would have never known that she was under extreme stress or aggrevation. She did not give up on us and she SHOWED WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS ALL ABOUT! I'm not sure if Jewell is a manager but she definitely should be a manager maybe even a district manager or even a manager over the district managers HELL MAKE HER CEO!!!! We Love Jewell!! The dress I ordered arrived and I was asked to pick it up within the next few days. When I picked my dress up, I immediately noticed the poor fabric quality and the fact that no one had bothered to steam the creases and wrinkles out of the dress before I picked it up. When I returned home and tried it on, I noted several loose and random threads throughout the seams and hem of the dress and the zipper did not work as designed. While I wasn't terribly impressed with David's Bridal, my experience wasn't awful. I will be the maid of honor in a wedding in April, so I went with the bride to try on several bridesmaid dresses to determine which style(s) she would like for us to wear. We'd already visited another bridal shop that day, and we just didn't find anything at David's Bridal that compared. The sample dress selection wasn't very extensive, and the dresses didn't seem as well made. Additionally, the prices weren't significantly better than the other shop. The bride saw a few dresses that she wanted to try on for her send-off outfit, but they fit awkwardly or were way too "hoochie" (some of the dresses were obscenely short). We didn't find anything she wanted me to try on for a bridesmaid dress. They staff was pretty friendly, though. While we didn't have an appointment or ask for a consultant to help us, we were greeted in a friendly manner and offered assistance, should we need it. My biggest issues with David's Bridal were just style and quality. I thought weddings were supposed to be classy and elegant. Plus, if you have to pay good money for a dress, don't you want it to last for more than one event? What's with all the over-sexualized, cheaply-made dresses? read more

My daughter and I made an appointment to look at wedding dresses for her upcoming wedding. This was our first place we have looked. I must say the customer service we received from our sales associate Morgan was over the top outstanding. She was able to look at my daughters body structure and determine what dresses would best fit her body type. Wow was she spot on!...Now the trouble we found 3 dresses we loved. I truly feel like she is family, but it doesn't start and stop with her. The alterations manager, Jeanne, is fabulous! I trust her with my life. It is nice to know that I have nothing to worry about with my dress and it will be beautiful! One less stress for this crazy nursing student bride! I have had to go to David's Bridal several times in the last couple of years. Every time I go it seems to be getting worse. This last time We had an appointment and so did about 10 other people at the same time. While my bride was trying on a dress there were 2 other brides and 2 bridesmaids trying on dresses at the same time on the same side. NOT a good experience at all. The worker helping us put the dress on our bride but did not do anything else. We (the people who came to watch and enjoy) had to tighten the dress for her. Make the back sit right. Make her look like a bride. You can also tell they don't clean their store very well. The floor looked horrible and the mirrors were all printed up. If this wasn't the only non boutique bridal store around I would never go back. read more

Second weddings can sometimes be more stressful than firsts. With that being said, I resembled that sentence! Even though this is my second go-around, this would be my very first real, grown up wedding dress. I was not only stressed about how quickly this wedding was coming up, and the budget, but also in the back of my mind, the constant " will they have anything to fit me. You see, I am a large size goddess. (Wink wink), and all those like me, know the woes we face with that! Walking in, first impression was , busy, hectic. There was a lady ahead of us, so we, my daughter in law, my best friend and myself, waited patiently for my turn. The guy behind the desk seemed nice. Another employee came up to the woman behind me, (by that time, the line had grown) and asks if he could help her. Ok, I'm thinking, oh he sees a fat chick, and has done some assuming. It happens a lot. Assuming that I can't be the one needing help because I'm a) older and b) not a size 2. So I let it slide. My skin is thick. Another employee comes over and what happens? ? You guessed it. She heads to yet another person behind me. At this point I'm getting pissed. Finally the guy at the desk gets up to escort the lady whom he was helping to the back, and another person takes his place. FINALLY someone asks if they can help. She takes my name, I fill out a form and wait on my consultant. Jewell comes to greet me fairly quickly and very is very nice, asking about what I was looking for and budget. I tell her my worries about sizing and she looks at me and tells me, " we will find you a dress, no problem". I'm liking this woman. I pick out 5 dresses and we head to the dressing rooms. In front of a bank of mirrors there is a raised stage. I didn't see it because the carpet on the floor was the same color as the carpet on the stage. Down I went! Thank God nothing was hurt but my pride and my elbow ( which sustained a rug burn). Much fuss, 3 bandaids, and a visit by the manager later, and I'm finally trying on dresses. Jewell was awesome! Funny, helpful and brave (for helping me into a corset bra AND spanks)! She totally saved the visit. First dress I tried on was the one. It was beautiful, and I felt beautiful in it. I rang the bell with gusto! My only major issue is the stage. It really needs to be made more visable. It could have ended badly with a broken bone. This was the WORST experience a bride should ever have to go through. When I went for my bridal gown appointment in December 2015, my consultant, JOY, was inattentive, poorly dressed, & very RUDE! After trying on the first dress she pulled and not liking it, she had an attitude about getting me more dresses to try on. I finally found the right wedding dress for me and she was nowhere in sight for my BIG moment. Because we did not know where she was and were tired of waiting, a member of my bridal party grabbed the bell and gave it to me to ring to announce that I had found my gown! JOY came running around the corner with an attitude about "WHO TOUCHED MY BELL?!" Horrible experience from beginning to end! Reluctantly, I brought my bridal party back to David's Bridal to look for bridesmaids dresses on February 21, 2016. I thought to myself, "It can't be worst than last time"....BOY WAS I WRONG! Much to my dismay, our consultant was 30 minutes late for our appointment and it was JOY again. All my bridesmaids pulled their own dresses and went back on their own for different sizes. JOY was nowhere in sight to help us with this journey, much like when I went for my gown! However, we did see JOY helping other people generously! We wished we would have gotten the same service. The one time she did come check on us, she said "Oh! That dress would look good on everybody!" It was like she was trying to rush us out the door. My mother picked out her dress for my wedding without any help from JOY, AND SHE STILL TRIED TO GET COMMISSION FOR THE DRESS!!! Unbelievable!!! Not to mention, the whole dress shop was over scheduled and over populated, we only had two dressing rooms for 8 girls, it was scorching hot, & everyone was bumping into each other! I had to leave a review because I had such an awesome lovely experience here, and I only ever see negative stuff about this place. My first visit was a walk in on a weekend, so I would have understood if they couldn't help me much but I still got such great customer service, and wound up buying my dress here on a later visit. The staff were really friendly and really did make me feel like a princess, one of them even looked at my Pinterest and helped me choose dress that had the style I liked and that suited my body type. They also bring you a slip and a bustier in your size so you can try on the dresses properly, something I didn't get offered in a more upscale bridal shop. The store is really nice inside and they have a nice big stage where you can see how you look. They also have a lot of accessories you can try on, even if you don't plan to purchase your wedding jewelry from them it's good to get an idea of how your dress will look with different things. I also got my dress CRAZY quick-when I ordered I was told it would take about 3 months and it took less than a week! read more

I had called the store to make an appointment and was directed to go online to do so. I went online and scheduled my appointment for 12:30 the next day. I went into the David bridal store at 12:30 I was on my lunch break. The lady at the front desk asked me if I had an appointment. I told her that I did and she asked that I sit and wait. I asked her if I could take a look around because I was on my lunch break and did not have much time. I walked around and looked at a few dresses and then proceeded to sit and wait. The store seemed very dis-organized as far as management is concerned. There was a lady with short black hair and glasses that talking about me as if I wasn't sitting right there. The lady kept telling the girl at the front desk that I would have to wait and she didn't have time to help me. Finally, at 1 o'clock someone came to escort me to the back. My consultant's name was Heather. She was very nice and helpful. I had already picked out the few dresses that I wanted to try on but she did insist on grabbing a few more. She helped me narrow it down to which one I wanted and really gave me some good advice. The main thing I was disappointed with was that I had to wait so long and Heather had other clients other than me. I kept having to wait for her to pass by in order to get help. Which I honestly felt was not her fault and that someone had over booked her. 1/18/2017 I returned to the store and the lady with the short black hair and glasses was working the front desk. She was very nice and I told her I was there to pick my dress up. She went to the back and 5 minutes later came back that she had forgotten my name and was going to attempt and find my dress a second time. She returned after another 5 minutes with my dress. She asked a gentleman if her would help me try the dress on and he agreed and took me to the dressing room. After inspecting my brand new dress I found a bead that was hanging off and a few pulls in the dress where the beads had caught to the chiffon and nicked the fabric. I put the dress on and came out of the dressing room and brought the issues with the dress to the gentleman attention. After further inspection he said that he would bring me back to the lady that does their alterations to see if she could fix the issues.(Side note: I wanted to get my alterations done at the store but they told me it would be 2-4 weeks. I opted to take my dress to the lady down the road from me as she only takes a week.) In the back I showed the lady in alterations the errors with the dress and she said that she would be able to fix the bead that was hanging but not the pulls in the fabric. Honestly, I was pretty aggravated that no one in the store managed to want to solve the issue with the pulled fabric it was in 4 different places. She said she couldn't fix it and I was just supposed to be okay with that I guess?! I wish they would have offered to order me another dress (which it may not have come in time) or offered me a discount on my damaged dress I paid for. The alteration lady asked if I was going to get my alterations done in their store and I had told her that the lady on the phone said that it would take 3-4 weeks and I didn't have that kind of time. She said that she could it have it done in 2 weeks or I could get it done in a week and pay a rush charge. I told her I would go ahead and get the alterations done with her and 2 weeks would be fine. Another thing I did not care for is when I was told my dress was ready to pick up I asked the about the alterations. I was told that I would need to come up to the store and get my dress and make an appointment for my alterations to be done. Wouldn't it make more sense to allow me to make an appointment over the phone and come in and get the alterations done. Rather than pick up a dress only to be brought back to the store a few days later to get alterations done?! read more

I was in yesterday, my consultants name was Heather and she was AMAZING. She was working three appointments and you would've never guessed that. She made me feel so important and like her attention was completely on me. I found my dress, third one I tried on. She was completely honest with me and made sure my experience was nothing short of perfect. If I could rate this place a negative star I would. I was going out of town to my sister's wedding reception in GA and needed a formal dress. She first got married privately on a beach then had her reception a month later for family and close friends. She consorts with lawyers, CPA's, stock brokers, etc. Uppity people. So I needed a really formal dress. I'd always heard about David's Bridal so I decided to look there. I walk in the door and the girl who sits at a desk out in the middle of the floor never made eye contact with me. I walked up to her and said "excuse me, I need help finding a formal dress for a wedding reception" and she then lead me back to the dresses and just left me there to look. She never once asked any questions of what I was looking for or if I needed any further help. She just left me there. I start thumbing through the dresses not knowing what I'm looking for seeing as I have never worn a formal dress before. I'm a jeans woman. I finally spotted a female employee putting formal dresses back on the rack, so I asked her for some help and she started to help me till a bride walked out of one of the dressing rooms and she left me high and dry to go help her. I was flabbergasted!!!! Could that have just happened?? What am I?, chopped liver?? I thought, HOW RUDE!! At this point, I'm still thumbing through the dresses till I see another employee to ask for help, but I'm getting frustrated because I've been ditched by two employees and don't know what to look for in a formal dress. So then I saw yet another lady hanging around the formal dresses and told her the other lady just ditched me to help the bride but could she help me. She just told me that all sizes they carry are already out on the racks and I would just have to thumb through them like I am doing. At this point, I noticed, all the employees were black. I am a white woman. I had my father with me. He's white also. I am not racist, but I believe the employees in this store were. There were more employees than customers and they didn't appear to be doing inventory, therefore there was no other valid excuse for them treating me like this. I will NEVER use or go back to David's Bridal again. That was a first and a last time. Very rude employees. Treated me so badly that when I walked out of the store and got in my car, I started crying at how I was treated. I have NEVER been treated that badly by any employee in any store before. Just what we needed! Thank you Katie for giving my daughter the perfect afternoon trying dresses. It was a breath of fresh air to have a sweet consultant who understood she wanted to try lots of different styles to see what would look best for her body type. This is my second wedding and my worst experience at David's bridal ever in my life. I've went to David's bridal in Puerto Rico, Nyc, nj, Pennsylvania and Louisiana is the worst! Alexa was my sales person she picked out dresses for me that did not compliment or fit my body style, the only one she pick for me that I did like, they ended up not having in my size and the delivery date to get one from online was weeks. Not only that I told her my budget and I guess it was too low for her commission she didn't really seem into my moment at all. Shame on you Alexa AND ANDREW for ruining special moments and shame on you David's bridal for having associates as these. read more
