Mike has had painful knee issues for years, and for many of those years, medications and injections were able to help. But by the summer of 2017, Mike was in pain all the time. We wound up cancelling vacations and other activities we enjoyed, because it hurt him just to walk up a couple of steps. Our lives got smaller and smaller, and Mike spent more and more time on the couch. Because we are only in our early 60s, we realized that this could be our lives for the next 30 years! Like most people, we have healthy concerns about surgery, but decided this was no way to live. We met with Dr. Rojer and together, made the decision for total knee replacement. We selected a date for surgery, and Dr. Rojer's experienced staff took it from there. The segue from Dr. Rojer's office to Trinitas Medical Center (and beyond that, to post op care and rehab) was seamless. Much to our amazement, Mike was up and walking around the patient floor with his physical therapists, three hours after surgery! When he was discharged from Trinitas, an at-home physical therapist and a home nurse arrived on our doorstep the next day. We didn't have to make any of the arrangements! Surgery and recovery went so well that we scheduled his second knee replacement, and that went just as smoothly. Mike finishes his last week of physical therapy tomorrow, and for the first time in years, he can walk pain-free. We have already made travel plans to take full advantage of that fact. Was seemingly lied to and belittled by every ER doctor here. Was told by a Dr Kelly " oh you feel like you can't breathe, What do you expect me to do there's nothing, what what" As also told by a Dr Kelley that four broken and possibly infected teeth would not cause breathing problems because respiratory is not connected to mouth at all (lie?). Dr. Womack and Dr Grayson repeated this. Dr Grayson also snapped and said heck if your teeth are bothering you see a damn dentist. We don't care about that here. Was told by a Dr. Silacci " your trouble breathing and heart problems are not the concern of this hospital." Was told by Dr. Davis "why are you expecting us to help you, how dare you expect us to fix your engine when this place is for tune ups. (Doctor likened patients to worthless pieces of scrap metal.) A nurse one time even put the pulse oximeter on my middle finger, showed me my own middle finger, laughed and then exited the room. Very bad. Hospital says that they will help you regardless of who you are or your ability to pay. They will not. I've had trouble doing things all my life. No one is really going to care what is really going or why something happened. Just shut up or TS. Things never really do get better as they say. Don't come here expecting them to save your life because they probably will not. Only worse. Don't know a place that is good to go as the healthcare I experienced in the area has only been bad. If you can't go elsewhere or fight for yourself....thats all she wrote. Even though you try to do what they day, you never really do get what you need. So keep that in mind as well folks. Whispers of gay conversion therapy also reared its ugly head. Didn't know that was still a thing. Yikes!

Very professional, knowledgeable, respectful with his patients. I had a second surgery with him…read more(bicep tenodesis surgery) it went well recovery time was three months of physical therapy. He allowed me time for physical therapy prior to the surgery as a precautionary measure, and a 2nd opinion prior to the surgery. The doctor was very patient with me regarding my post surgery recovery allowing me extra time to recover until I felt comfortable when returning to work. Staff was very helpful too. Will recommend to others.

I made an appointment for something new but when that assistant came put to the open floor where everyone was, there wasn't any privacy and the way he handled it I felt shocked and uncomfortable. I felt he stopped me before I even started. In that case he could have had his assistant call me at home and tell me not to even come in I felt humiliated and embarrassed. Others where staring at me. I woll never back there again. He helped define what kind of specialist I need tp seek out in the future. It was bad.​

There is an apparent disconnect between the doctors and patient expectations with the staff. I would suggest the doctors; but go to a different office. The experience I had with the Union office was the best ever. The experience I had with the Linden office was the worst. The office staff is not honest; nor do they care (except for the surgical coordinators - they are great). Once again - doctors yes - Linden office - not if you want to be frustrated, aggravated, or deceived.
