Dave has been tuning our piano for more than 20 years. We live in Portland, on the West side. When he started out, we had an old and quirky piano, and he helped us keep the pedal from squeaking and keep the keys working smoothly. He Actually Damaged Our Piano After tuning our piano, on May 16, 2017 David was reassembling it and dropped the top onto the keys causing two large gouges in the wood below the keys. He apologized and assured us he would repair the damage. On June 10th, I texted him and received no response. I texted him again on June 17th and he finally responded on June 21st. He said he needed pictures of the damage to repair it. I sent him the pictures and he said he would be in contact with the repair people. However, I heard nothing back. On September 1st, he finally responded to my texts and said he was in the hospital and it would be at least a couple weeks before he would return to work. That was the last I heard from him. Needless to say, I would not recommend him. My piano is in worse shape than before he touched it. read more
