The cleaning, exam and filling were covered under United Healthcare dental policy, but the filling was not. We asked the doctor before the filling was done, just put in a temporary one. After our payment of $56 on the day of the filling procedure, I thought we were paid up. Then, I got a bill for $106. When I called the practice and reminded them that we were told $50, she said It was just an estimate. From an estimate of $50 to $162 does not sound like an estimate to me. I paid it and cancelled all of our future appointments. This is a warning to anyone going to this dentist.

I have had appointments with two other dentists, one in Candler North Carolina, the other in Asheville North Carolina. Neither of which could find anything wrong with my tooth, or the source of the pain. I decided to take a chance on this dentist because of the favorable comments that my neighbors gave. Note that we just moved to this area in March 2020. First, I contacted the dentist office and they were able to give me an appointment within two days. The visit was OK. But, they took a considerable amount of time with me to isolate the area of pain. They were able to discover that I have two teeth side-by-side that have cracks. This was something that neither dentist that I attended before even took the time to try and find. I am not happy about the results, two cracked teeth. But, I'm very happy that this dentist took the time to isolate the problem, find a solution, and work with me to resolve this issue. My dentist couldn't see me for at least two weeks. I called multiple dentists, with no luck. Finally, I reached out to Junaluska and they were able to see me that day and started me immediately on antibiotics. They were kind, professional, and knowledgeable.
