I needed a temporary denture (flipper) because two of my teeth were scheduled for extraction due to an abscess, and I was eager to move forward with the process. I arrived on time for my appointment, but the receptionist informed me that my insurance hadn't approved the procedure yet which contradicted what the insurance company told me from home. I called the insurance company and had the receptionist speak to them a few minutes and they asked her to fax the forms. Then, Dr. Savant--who had clearly overbooked her half-day schedule--told me to come back next week. This was despite knowing that I had traveled a long way to be there. When I explained that I had an abscess, wouldn't be in the area next week, and had taken a two-hour train ride to get there, she told me to step out for coffee and return in 30 minutes and she would see me. I followed her instructions and even came back 10 minutes early, only to find that she had already left and the office was closed. It felt like a deliberate, humiliating and unprofessional trick. Based on this experience, I would not trust this office. Their disregard for patients' time and effort is both deceptive and shows a clear lack of respect for our health needs. I had never given a negative review before but I had never been treated so poorly before.

I left a voicemail and got a call back the next day. I was in a bit of a bind and needed to see the Dr asap. They were wonderful. The girls on the phone worked their hardest to accommodate me. She even promised that if the Dr. had to stay after on each day of the week she would (after meeting Dr. Gedz i believe it. I had received such wonderful service on the phone that i was actually excited to get to the office. I unfortunately didn't bring my insurance card yet the wonderful young lady at the front desk told me not to worry. She checked absolutely everything. Benefits, copays, fees, all of it laid out for me. I was amazed that she pulled all my benefits for me because its usually a "i don't know ma'am you have to call your insurance company". I waited all 15 minutes while filling out paperwork. Into the chair i went, the whole experience was great. She did everything herself. She made me feel as comfortable as i possible could have been at the dentists office. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs a dentist. Accommodating, friendly, efficient, and smart. I stumbled on this office by chance and truthfully it was one best decision I could have made. Doctor Beridze was a pleasure to deal with and saved me from further dental issues down the line by being proactive and extremely detailed, from explaining every procedure and showing me what work needed to be done to making sure I was comfortable. It's been 3 years and I still come in for my usual cleanings, I highly recommend taking your time visit their offices. She did a root canal and placed a porcelain crown that, to this day, is still intact. The doctor was super patient with me, always concerned about how I was feeling and explaining the entire procedure in detail, because I'm very afraid of going to the dentist. That's why I had neglected my teeth for a long time. But after I found Dr. Kathilde, I lost that fear because she always makes me feel calm--she has a lot of patience with me. I now live in NJ, but I still travel to NYC just to have cleanings and treatments done by her. I recommend her 1000%. The assistants who work with her are always kind, calling to check how I'm doing after each procedure, calling to remind me of my next appointment, and if I can't make it due to work, they always find a way to reschedule me for another day. She placed a crown and told me normally a porcelain crown has a shelf-life of at least 10 years. I didn't go back after the placement because I felt so defeated and didn't have 30k to spend on my teeth. Three years later, I have an incredible dentist who told me the biggest issue was some tartar buildup and gingivitis. I still have all of my teeth, except for the crown that broke in half tonight while eating chicken. I repeat: chicken. This practice is a crack job. The city is too big for you to be giving your money to a hack who dabbles in fear mongering and cheap supplies. Heading to my dentist tomorrow to fix the last of what was extensive emotional damage and apparently, a bit of physical damage too.

It was my first RC and had been years since I had seen a dentist, and Dr. Z made me feel very calm and comfortable. She showed me all the equipment she was using as it came up and explained what she was doing step by step. She even warned me to close my eyes if i needed to before the numbing needle came out! The lovely assistant (Lakshmi i believe?) kept my lips moisturized with vaseline too which was great! Everyone in the office was so nice, including the receptionists Tiffany and the woman i initially made my appointment with whos name i now regrettably cannot recall. She responded to my email within an hour and got me a next day appt for tooth pain, plus walked me through a bunch of info regarding Care Credit, which they take. Everyone had masks, temps were taken, the place is spotlessly clean and friendly. They even gave me a call the next day to ask how i was feeling. I would 10/10 recommend Dr. Z to anyone, particularly if you are nervous or anxious around dental work like I am. Ill also add that i am uninsured and they made every effort to help me out.
