If you're looking for a photographer who is detail oriented, hard-working, and patient then look no further. My husband and I are very fortunate to have David capture one of the most precious moments of our lives. I did a lot of research before selecting a wedding day photographer and David's photography style was everything I was looking for. David was a great communicator and was always quick to respond and answer all of my questions and concerns. On the day of the wedding, David did a fantastic job directing the wedding party on where and how to pose for pictures. The moments he captured are priceless and they turned out amazing. After the wedding, David was extremely patient with me as we worked on the wedding album. David was always ready to move forward but due to my busy work schedule, it was always hard to respond immediately. David sent me multiple reminders (which I truly appreciated) and showed that he cared about the production of my wedding album. If it wasn't for David's patience and persistence, I probably would've never finished my wedding album. My husband and I appreciate all of the hard work that David put into our wedding, before & after. Not only did we gain an amazing go-to photographer but we also gained a friend. Now that we're expecting our first baby, we hope to have David capture more precious moments that life brings. David is extremely talented, personable, and kind and you will not regret your decision. read more

I do not have enough good words to say about David. Before David was a full time photographer, he was hired by my dad to photograph my sister's rehearsal dinner. His photos were so great, and he was so easy to work with, that when I got engaged a few years later I decided to use him for everything (engagement, rehearsal, wedding). Since I'm an avid scrapbooker (yep, I said that), the photos were probably the most important part of the wedding. David and his assistant pulled off everything flawlessly, from covering the specific shots I requested (NUMEROUS, I'm sure he'd tell you!) to capturing the candid moments that embody the spirit of our weekend. I would recommend David to anyone and everyone, and plan to use him in the future when we're ready for more "family" type photos. You will not be disappointed if you put your faith in David! read more

We did our engagement session w/ David Loi about 2 weeks ago. First of all, I just want to say that David is very punctual and professional. When I contacted him about his prices and what usually goes into planning a shoot, he was very responsive and offered an appointment to discuss things very quickly. It was very important for him to get to know us and to understand "our story" so that he could help us share it in the best way with his art. I love that concept instead of just setting a date/time to take pictures! Anyway, I was SO nervous days before the photo shoot, because I had never done one before. But it came so naturally with David - my fiancé and I had a blast! It really floored us that David was just SO excited when he had a good shot of us. It really gave us a lot of energy. And OMG, there were SO MANY good pictures! My fiancé and I whole-heartedly love all of our photos so much. The pictures really conveyed our adventurous, wacky, travel-prone selves! And our love and admiration for each other really came through on these pictures. Since it was a destination engagement shoot, there was some apprehension on where the best places were to take pics, but David had done some research and suggested a great area to go to. We got to explore the town, meet the locals, and even found some amazing secluded spots for some beautiful photos! David is definitely creative, takes initiative, and LOVES his work, and he tries his best to make sure you get what you want. What more can you ask for? P.S. Turn around time for getting the edited photos back was also super quick. =) read more

AMAZING!!! David was such a delight to work with for our photoshoot. I found him through social media and word of mouth and he was professional, timely, and so just oh so nice. My husband and I had our maternity session with David and it was such a breeze. He was funny and chill, which made our photo taking experience very easy and natural. It felt as though I was naturally strolling in the park with my husband at 7 am on a random Saturday morning in a huge dress with a face full of make up and hair fully curled. LOL. He even got our photos back super quick and I was so blown away wth the results. He is gifted in capturing feelings and emotions with his artistic eye. I highly recommend his services to all my friends and hopefully we can find another moment for David to capture behind his lenses. read more

David was a photographer for my wedding last fall. He took pictures for the bridal photo shoot and wedding/reception ceremonies. He is such a delight to work with - easy going, kind, funny, and extremely talented. He is passionate about his work, and it definitely shows in the product. He was responsive and incredibly patient with us, and felt more like a friend than a photographer! We are really happy with the pictures he got - we will cherish them always :). I highly recommend to anyone looking for a photographer for their wedding (or other special event). He is the best! read more

David Loi's photographs are truly works of art. As an ex-fine art student with a concentration in photography, finding my wedding photographer was no easy task. Most of my colleagues reside on the east coast, so finding a photographer closer to home took me weeks of research. I guess I'm a little finicky. David's use of light and eye for composition is indicative of true talent, of which cannot be taught or sold. Personally, I'm well aware how difficult it can be to make your subjects feel at ease considering the situation at hand. David has a wonderful personality and made my fiance and I sincerely comfortable whilst taking our photos. He directs well, he listens, and what impressed me most is that he understands. I had a vague, 'unique' concept about my engagement photos and David was the only one who almost instantaneously responded to my inquires. He didn't just email me a .PDF price list of his marriage packages (which seemed to be the first answer I got from most other photographers.) Instead, he wanted to know more about my ill-defined concept and what we could do to make it translate photographically. I cannot stress enough how much of a difference it makes when the photographer shares in your enthusiasm. He wasn't just eager at the dollar amount he might be making; instead he was obviously more excited about bringing my obscure vision to life. I believe wedding photographs should be a collection of particular images. Moments in time that can begin the narrative on your lives together. I am very confident in David's ability to visually portray anyone's story. So book him quickly before he starts charging more, cause he should. read more

David was very professional and talented with his work. He took the time to come visit my office prior to the shoot just to make sure it goes smooth. Just seeing him work you can tell he truly loves what he does. I had David for an indoor shoot for my office and the result was wonderful, try him out and you won't regret it. His ability to work with the light is unparalleled. read more

David recently shot our pop up wedding, which as you can imagine was not an easy wedding to shoot because there was nothing conventional about it! I was so impressed with his professionalism and positive attitude. Many of our guests have asked me for his contact information! He is that good! He made my husband and I feel so comfortable, as well as our guests. He made sure that he understood all of the shots that we were looking for and worked so hard throughout the evening. Look no further, David is your guy! read more

Look no further and book David NOW! I am not the most photogenic person and feel awkward when "taking" pictures, but with David, we were not "just taking pictures". He made us feel so comfortable and at ease, that we just enjoyed our day, being in the moment and making memories. The outcome - breathtaking images that will last a lifetime! David's talent captured the beauty and fun we had at our wedding, while making us look 1,000,000x better than we do! I couldn't be happier with our images and will cherish them forever. Thank you, thank you, thank you! read more

David's photography skills are spectacular! We hired him for some work and cannot speak enough about his flexibility, professionalism, prices, and passion! Our engagement and wedding photos came out better than we hoped and it was a pleasure working with him! We had some pictures done in Cancun and needed some certain liquid beverage for our signature drink that couldn't be found anywhere in Cancun so David was nice enough to lug around a few heavy bottles from the states and bring them to us in Cancun! This had nothing to do with the photographer, mind you, so just a great example of him going above and beyond! We had his assistant, Robert there as well, and he did equally as amazing as David! Thank you David Loi, studios! read more

Wow, he takes his great shots and then designs a layout that shows off your wedding and his artistry. He is very popular and books quickly, so contact him as soon as possible or he may not be available. And his prices are very reasonable. David shot my daughters wedding and we all loved what he created. Thanks David, great job! read more

First of all we just want to say, if you want a photographer, David is the one we will recommend every time, every where, and for every occasion. We reached out to him about 3 months before the wedding which in the wedding industry is considered pretty last minute but David was very responsive. We had a meeting within a few days and was able to decide a date for our pre wedding photoshoot. We had our pictures taken in late August and it was still very hot during the day but David was very patient. He was also very professional, punctual, friendly, down to earth and personable. We were a bit clueless with posing but luckily David guided us throughout the whole session. Even though it was very hot, we had so much fun. On top of that we got our edited pictures in less than 2 weeks just like promised and the pictures are amazing and way beyond our expectation. Thank you David! Words cannot express how amazing and talent David and his team is. They shot both of my weddings (Dallas and Cancun Mexico) along with my engagement photos. The quality and dedication of their work beams with how much they care and love their work and what they do. Every time I look back at my wedding photos, it's like a still memory. I can remember exactly what happened. Every single minor detail that makes a difference in on how you remember a moment in time, David and his team are able to capture that. It's amazing how detailed they are in capturing every single laugh, tear and smile. I cannot thank him and his team enough for being there for us. If you are looking for a amazing team who listens to exactly what you want your photos to look like, look no further this talent man and his team really does it. They do amazing work. Every time we show our wedding photos, I constantly receive comments stating that they feel like they were at our wedding themselves. I have recommend david and his team to EVERYONE I know who's getting married or needs pictures taken. Thank you David. read more

When your husband says "he captured a fairy tale", while looking through your wedding pictures, it speaks novels. I found David through some random chance, on FB and looked through his website; I was intrigued. I sent him a short email asking some basic questions, and instead of sending a pdf of costs and packages (like everyone else did), he asked if we could chat over the phone. I was immediately drawn to his personality and passion. Not to mention he let's you speak, and when you're done, he adds to the conversation - it's never about him. His work online showed us color, and catching those all-time amazing shots that we all want - the in-the-moment ones that tell stories only books and your imagination can dream up. Our journey with David began over a few beers, casually getting to know each other, asking questions, telling stories, looking at books of his work to make sure what he provides is really what we were looking for, and he didn't do the sales pitch of "well, I have this sweet little book right here, but this big one, yeah, you want this, just trust me". You see, he doesn't just say "ok, I'll work with you, and I'll take your money". No, he wants to make sure your personalities work well together, and that you're on the same page, and that what YOU want is what he delivers. If you want simple portraits with no emotion, no energy, no life in them, he is not the photographer for you. We were immediately drawn to his character, personality, and what we hoped was his work ethic. We were right. From finding a place for the engagement pictures (which ended up being the same vineyard where we were getting married, which was not a short drive, and he ended up tearing his pants to get to the perfect position to capture the light "just so", after which he simply had a good laugh), to sharing personal updates about life in general (we had made a new friend in him), to getting ready for the wedding, and EVERYTHING in between (save-the-date pics/ questions about the contract/ timeline for the wedding itself/ etc), we couldn't possibly recommend him more. He works well with the other vendors. If necessary for time and atmosphere and contract, he has amazing assistants that work with him that are incredibly talented, as well. HIs work is outstanding. His personality is professional yet compassionate and fun. His work ethic is stellar. Money and time EXTREMELY well spent. When anything else in life arises, you bet we'll be asking David to capture the moments for/with us. read more
