Need to have negative stars. We've been with Heist for 30+ years and I finally tired of the…read moreincompetence, laziness and nastiness of our most recent account manager(AM) I experienced. I stayed because of the past Heist performance but our "new" AM behavior forced me to move ALL of our insurance to Hub. An example of the AM's business-destroying behavior is after I received an email from the insurance company cancelling our policy, I later received an email from the AM with an off-topic heading so rude that I didn't open it. While I knew the policy was to expire soon, there was NO prior contact from our AM, just a rude email after the event. A complete lack of interest in keeping the business. If, for some reason, I continue to be contacted, I will send a letter to the GC at Alera Group, asking for relief. The AM's performance was so bad that I easily matched her best quote by going online myself as a walk-on. We'll never go back. I am SURE we're not the only ones. I just wrote a letter to the AM, copied Heist, documenting these issues, with examples such as a screen shot of the last email. And I just received an email saying my policy is expiring.

I had the pleasure of working with Christina Codianni out of the Ocean City, NJ office. A little…read morebackground. I joined a company whose insurance was running out last minute, a software business update did not go as planned so emailing a populating form back to Christina was not an option and to make things a bit more stressful, our IT could not solve the pc software issues in enough time for Christina to do her job. When I contacted Christina and told her the situation, she was amazingly understanding. Being totally transparent, I was expecting a pretty strong attitude at the very least. Christina was just the opposite! She was not only understanding, but she was willing to sit on the phone with me and take down all the info to fill in the application one question at a time. Christina then emailed me a copy for my records. I cannot stress enough how impressed I am with the services but having Christina as my account manager knocked it out of the park. Always calls back, always responds, always pleasant, always understanding; absolutely perfect and our business will not go anywhere else for insurance needs. To the Heist leadership, you do not want to lose Christina, ever! She is amazing. We did not have to follow up one time with Christina. She was on her game from the minute we spoke. Nice job, Christina!!! Thank you for going out of your way and above and beyond to get our insurance needs. Kind regards, John Mortelliti

I was told that State Farm doesn't insure coastal properties, but I had the most wonderful and informative conversation with one of their agents (Terri or Bonnie?). Even though I wasn't insured with SF, she told me where to find potential information in my current policy that could save me money, and what specific terms to look for / ask for when calling for quotes. She even called me back after we spoke the first time to bring up more information that might be relevant to my search. I wish SF insured O.C. houses, as I would love to be able to have this friendly, knowledgable staff to support me.
