This review is long overdue.. And incredibly long In case you don't have time to read it all... Pick David! Now the long part: I was refinancing my home into my name only, expecting the process to take less than 21 days. He monitored the market for me and called to let me know when it was the right time to lock a rate. His timing was incredible - not 2 days after I secured an incredible rate, they started climbing again! I don't want to go into too much detail publicly... but after I locked my rate, I discovered that a second mortgage had been taken out on my home behind my back. In order to secure new financing, I needed to pay this debt off - but I had no idea where exactly to do that. David jumped through hoops to locate the payoff details... but by the time we finally had all the information, nearly 3 months had passed and I had lost my original mortgage rate. I was devastated. With the way rates had climbed during that time, I was looking at paying nearly $600 more a month, which would have crippled me and left me living off credit cards for the foreseeable future. David once again advised me to wait a few weeks to lock my rate, which brought that number down a bit. He then played with numbers, bringing down his own fee in order to try and make my mortgage manageable. It was still a far cry from the original number I was looking at, but I was grateful he had the heart (and expertise) to make this much effort for me. I could not tell you how excited I was to get the call that after well over three months, we were finally going to close! Since I was on a work trip, David arranged for me to sign in San Diego. ****Y'all, this is the part where things get G.O.O.D** When I sat down to sign with the notary, I could not believe my eyes. I was staring at my original rate!! I told myself "just sign and ask questions later." I still do not understand how he did it... but at the zero hour, David had somehow convinced the lender to give me the rate from three months prior! I cannot tell you what it meant to me to have him go to bat for me.
