I've only bought a candle in here before, but if I had the money I would have bought a whole lot more. From vases, jewellery, mirrors, lamps, art, vintage furniture, there is at least one thing in here that every person who walks through the door finds themselves needing. The owner doesn't snoop around you either, which makes the whole experience very enjoyable. I always find it hard to leave!

Established in 1996, Ferrious has a great portfolio of fans including the Home Office and Chelsea Football Club. Ferrious prides itself on showcasing works from quality, innovative companies. I don't know a lot about domestic interiors but it sure looks and feels very exquisite in taste.

Instead of aisles, the store is set up with the main aisle leading around the whole store... almost like IKEA, but not quite a maze like IKEA. They have loads of bedding, bath, kitchen, and decor items. I was quite impressed with the kitchen area, which I may have spent a lot of time in taking a look at all of the great gadgets and utensils I might need... or just plain want. This store has been great for our needs as far as setting up my boyfriend's new apartment. We even got some great, fluffy and cozy bath robes. Some items are quite inexpensive, but I couldn't find a "clearance" area (yes, I like to scout out the deals). There is a furniture area at the back of the store near the cafe, but it did look quite bare and it didn't look like there was a huge selection of furniture. It looked like the furniture selection was limited to tables and dressers. Overall it provides a lot of selection for great value and saves you from having to go to a number of different stores to decorate and furnish your home.

It also stocks small items of unusual furniture, storage chests, side tables, dining sets etc all of which you won't find in the main high street stores. The store sells curtains, cushion covers and other fabrics and these can be made to measure. The shop is not very accessible to anyone withe a buggy or a disbled person as it has steps up into the store and then narrow spaces to navigate and a steep staircase to the pictures and furniture etc on the second floor. They are fantastic. The quality of the doors, interiors and fittings are excellent. The fitting is absolutely fantastic. Michael and James are perfectionist and we are absolutely delighted. I doubt you can find a nicer person than Michael to provide a quality service and product. The work is excellent and you will not get better even if you pay double. My grandsons had one sliding wardrobe and one with hinged doors. That one in particular was in such a small room, but it's unbelievable the space that has been created. Fitting floor to ceiling has given extra storage space. The other room was sliding doors which have been used to create the look of a full wall of wardrobe. The chimney breast area has been used to Create shelves and drop down desk. My Grandson is absolutely delighted and the room looks so neat and tidy. Definitely recommended.

Carpet and furniture departments are middle of the road and old hat for todays taste, with the same old wiltons that have been around forever. There curtain dept is good, but the factory shop is here so for anyone that lives in St Helens thats the place to visit first. (for anyone who doesn't know there trade name for textiles is Richard Barry) Its one of those shops that years ago had a bit of snob value attached to shopping there but we all want value for money and although you do get personal service you do pay over the odds for it.
