Walking into this place has been one of the biggest mistakes of the last year. I needed an ingrown…read moretoe nail removed. It was incredibly painful. And frankly, my doctor performing the procedure looked like he was hungover from drinking the night before. I made the mistake of having it done the Monday before Thanksigiving and I was in utter pain the entire week and absolutely nobody would get back to me when I reported the issue. No nurse took this pain seriously because it was obviously an inconvenience during a holiday weekend. To add insult to (literal) injury- their billing department has been a total NIGHTMARE. They've sent me various bills with various totals and when I reached out to my insurance company they said they had been paid and I owed nothing else. I've reached out to them a handful of time and I thought the matter was taken care of. THEN- I get more bills almost a year later. Charging me for the follow-up... the appointment they made to make sure nothing was infected It's NOT an appointment I made for a separate issue. This has felt like a total scam. Doesn't sit well with me. I've been writing yelp reviews for probably more than a decade. I think my credibility speaks for itself, backed by a proven track record. This took a year to even write. Because I can let things go! But when you keep trying suck money out of me... I'm going to start thinking your scammers.

Lol I believe it was a corn. *Correction-not corns but calluses instead* So the doctor delicately dug out the dead skin formed around the point of pressure and it felt so much better. Im actually looking forward to going back and getting it shaved out again! Seriously! The relief it brings is immeasurable.

I have talked to another doctor and it was a common issue. He did manage to talk me into getting some orthotic inserts for $450. Pease review the pictures to see what he gave me. They are the cheapest flimsy orthotics I've ever seen with a postage stamp size piece of rubber added just below big toe. I would've gladly gotten a pair for each of my shoes, but these are downright worthless. Would love to show them to the doctor and see what he thinks. A waste of money.

He suggested an in-depth surgery but first wanted to take a biopsy of one of my toes. That was quite painful and still causes me issues every now and then. While the results came back inconclusive, the surgery was still recommended. I decided to get a second opinion, and I came across Dr. Richer, and my goodness, I am so grateful that I reached out and connected with him. He knew immediately what the issue was and no surgery was necessary. After visiting him twice, my foot was as good as new (at least for that time). I was impressed by how direct and yet understanding he was for a doctor, and how he gave advice and direction in a way I could certainly understand and run with. I just recently visited him again for a new issue, but again, I feel supported by Dr. Richer and his team. He is the doctor at the Foot, Ankle & Leg Center in Scottsdale, and I found I could easily make an appointment on their website (https://www.footanklelegcenter.com). They treat heel pain, sports injuries, foot and ankle pain, nail and skin, and diabetic foot care. He also can provide advanced therapy for a variety of different kinds of treatment. He is a skilled, educated, and experienced podiatrist and foot surgeon who first got interested in the subject based on his own experiences. He has been all over the country and has been in the area since 2001 where he worked in group practice before founding the Foot, Ankle & Leg Center. According to his website, he strives to provide exceptional care of the foot, ankle & leg in a friendly, comfortable and relaxed environment where everyone is treated like family. From engaging with both Dr. Richer and his team, I feel like they have succeeded in doing this. The rest of his team (Meredith and Brittaney) are also friendly and very helpful in ensuring that I am prepared for my appointment, getting me situated when I arrive, and setting me up for a follow-up appointment as needed. I also confirm my appointment through a text in advance. They are open Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and on Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM. They have plenty of parking shared with other offices in front of their front entrance and a small but comfortable waiting area by the front counter where they have complimentary water bottles. After going through so much with another podiatrist, I am glad I found the Foot, Ankle & Leg Center and Dr. Richer and his team. They are now my first go-to podiatrist/foot surgeon!

He was very gentle with my foot and recommended surgery or I could wait but there wouldn't be a 100% chance it would heal. I went in on a Wednesday and he fit me in for surgery on Friday! I was super nervous but the surgery went smoothly and the pain post op hasn't been bad at all. He's been at my follow up appointments and answers all my questions and is super patient, even with a busy schedule. I highly recommend and if something ever happens to my foot I would go back to him!

The staff are wonderful and you can joke with them too. Dr.Forman is a board certified podiatrist who has a wonderful bedside manner. I have a fungas in (2) toes from pedicures and I am having a hard time getting rid of them and painful. I will not get pedicures again although he recommends the brand of nail polish called "Butter" (never heard of it) but will try it out. It was easy to get in to see him although the office has limited hours but he is worth it. He has a pleasant smile. He is gentle how he touches your feet too. The only thing is he recommends prescription strength Biotin which is $50.00 per month which seems expensive for a vitamin and another prescription copay is $75.00. I didn't start on either yet. Interesting I had my hair done today and a hair customer and I both were raving about Dr. Forman. A shout out to this wonderful facility and its staff.

The doctor entered the room and immediately began pitching his services--essentially suggesting that I come in once a month so he could trim all my nails for me; from what I gathered, it was something akin to a pedicure. I replied that I was accustomed to taking care of my own nails and had been doing so my entire life. At that point, the doctor grabbed a pair of clippers and began rapidly snipping off all my toenails, one after another, on both feet. I started screaming in pain, but he carried on as if he couldn't hear me. I was seated in a specialized chair with my feet elevated off the floor, leaving me with no way to jump up and get away. In short, this entire "procedure" ended with me not only enduring severe pain but also bleeding from three of my toes. He attempted to stop the bleeding and, in a rather haphazard manner, patched up the injured toes with gauze and Band-Aids. I barely managed to make it home and lay down for several hours until the bleeding finally stopped completely. It took another few days before I could walk without feeling pain in my injured toes. Yet even now--twenty days later--my toes still hurt when I walk. That is the kind of doctor we have in our town. Feel free to go visit him yourself.
