The moment I walked into Dr. Dixon's office, I was struck by the unwelcoming atmosphere and the sheer lack of professionalism. Dr. Dixon has the worst bedside manner I've ever encountered. She is not only dismissive but also outright rude. When I tried to explain my symptoms of a sprained ankle/foot, I was met with very little feedback and hardly any advice on next steps. It was clear that my concerns were not taken seriously. Dr. Dixon seemed more interested in cutting the appointment short than actually diagnosing or treating my issue. I left the office feeling frustrated and still in pain, with no real understanding of what was going on with my foot/ ankle. I had to call almost daily to get follow ups on insurance and MRI appointments. The Imagining center kept telling me Dr. Dixon's office was not responding to them in order to schedule me. It took me a MONTH to finally get an MRI. Alley at the front desk has zero clue what she is doing. They began to purposely not answer my calls. I have a big setback in my healing process because of this office. On top of it all, Dr. Dixon refused to give me MRI results over the phone while I was traveling for work and a wedding all while in serious pain. She gave me surface level results after I begged for some type of feedback or finding. I am in a walking boot and was also denied a handicap placard from her office. Instead I saw a new doctor and was given a temporary pass for 6 months and was handed the paperwork and placard within 24 hours with a full diagnosis of my foot and ankle. I regret ever stepping foot in Dr. Dixon's office and would strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere for compassionate and competent care. This doctor's lack of empathy and professionalism is unacceptable. Save yourself the trouble and find a provider who will actually listen and treat you with the respect you deserve. This entire office SUCKS!

I was only was asking as I wanted info on topicals since I dont like to take pills! Maybe she thought I wanted opioids??? not sure why she reacted that way...kinda baffling? 3) CANT GET A CALL BACK WHEN LEAVING MULTIPLE MESSAGES: After leaving multiple messages neither she, nor her office called me back. It was ONLY after I dug up their email address and finally heard back via email. 4) WOULD NOT GIVE ME MRI RESULTS ON PHONE. I WAITED WEEKS TO BE TOLD I NEEDED AN APPT TO GET RESULTS. THAT IT WOULD BE ANOTHER $250. CANT MAKE IT IN PERSON DUE TO WORK TRAVEL, TELE VISIT...THEY WANTED THAT $250. NO MATTER WHAT. Any other doctor would have called me with results within 48 maybe 72 hrs at worst. Many doctors actually follow-up with a phone call checking in with the patient that is in pain..not this Doc! This doctor knew I was in pain, and intentionally didn't call me back...holding out for that $250. no matter what. No empathy or concern AT ALL! I regret ever stepping foot in Dr. Dixon's office and would strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere for compassionate and competent care. $250 is not the issue...the principal is.

I also reached out a few days after again to double check my confirmation and Karyl said yes again. My surgery is tomorrow. I called today to see what time I should get there and the surgery center said they don't have me scheduled at all. I tried to contact the office but their line said it closed while they're transitioning to a new office. I've emailed them, tried to message them on Instagram, anything to get someone from their office to respond to me so I can see why they cancelled everything without letting me know.

My husband was with me, and Dr. Blumstein patiently answered every one of his questions too. He was kind, measured, and thorough. He has set the bar for how doctors should be -- and it's a high one. I've spent my entire adult life dealing with back issues. I had reached a point where walking was becoming difficult. I tried everything I could think of--massage, physical therapy, acupuncture, radiofrequency treatment--but nothing gave me lasting relief. Eventually, I could barely walk for five minutes before the pain and numbness would travel down my leg. I felt like I couldn't live my normal life anymore. When Dr. Ajiboye reviewed my MRI, he explained that the degeneration in my spine was compressing the nerves. I already understood that my condition was unlikely to get better without surgery, but I was still very nervous about making that decision. What I appreciated most was that Dr. Ajiboye never pressured me. He explained my condition and simply told me that if I decided to have surgery, he would be there to help me. That gave me so much confidence in him. The most incredible moment was after my surgery. The physical therapist helped me get up and walk, and I remember thinking, "Wait... where did my pain go?" After living with that pain for years, being able to walk without it was almost unbelievable. It has now been more than a year since my surgery, and I can happily say that I can walk, travel, and go sightseeing comfortably again.

My surgery was complex, requiring replacement of two discs and a vertebra, removal of damaged bone, and additional stabilization from L4-L5 to S1. Although my recovery was complicated by sepsis and nearly a month in the hospital, Dr. Ajiboye remained deeply involved in my care. He visited me regularly, monitored my healing, evaluated my posture and walking, and kept both my husband and me informed every step of the way. Dr. Ajiboye is an exceptionally skilled surgeon who is also compassionate, respectful, and genuinely dedicated to his patients. Surprisingly however, Dr. Kim (a surgeon) did not recommend surgery for me, but rather a series of exercises and weight loss. It was not easy, but after 5+ years I went from experiencing back pain in about 300 days a year, to back pain of less than 30 days a year. I had to continue to see him, and when a spasm or something happens, to get treatment, but his care, empathy and professionalism is second to none, and this is supported by his wonderful office team, who have always been helpful and caring. A few years ago, my father received a surgical option for his back, and somehow it just seemed off, so I recommended him to see Dr. Kim, whose opinion was completely different, and far less invasive. So we flew my father down from the Bay Area and Dr. Kim performed the surgery, and 3 years later my father is pain free. Everyone's journey is different, but before you decide on a back surgeon, I would highly recommend visiting with Dr. Kim.

It was only after all treatment options were exhausted that the decision was made for a double cervical fusion, which I appreciated as a 34yr old. This surgery is not to be taken lightly. It's now been 11 years since my fusion, and I am still pain free in my neck. It no longer crunches when I turn my head. The nerves in my arms are no longer burning into my fingers. My migraines have subsided significantly. I cannot thank Dr Kim and his wonderful team enough. The one thing I would change is the lack of effective communication from the front desk regarding appointment wait times. The average wait was well over one hour from the start time of my scheduled appt, which really eats into your day - especially if you're taking time off work.

Of all the reviews of services and products I've ever left, this is the first time I've genuinely…read morewished I could post more than five stars. 6, 10, 50, 1000. As high as I could go. We'll start with the office. Quick responses, easy scheduling, short wait times for appointments, always seen on time. Great communication. Then the doctor. It had been a years long journey of pain and helplessness, and within a minute of talking to him, I felt completely reassured that things were finally about to get better. He told me I was a great candidate for surgery, but of course you want to exhaust all other options first so he sent me to pain management and PT. The referrals went through quickly and when those options were tried and failed, he brought me back in and scheduled the surgery for one month out. From then on, I had a contact in the office who was always available to answer questions about prep and timelines and post op, etc. My insurance wanted to put me in a crap hospital, and he personally went to bat with them and convinced them to cover the surgery at one of the best hospitals in the state. The surgery was executed to perfection. It was a big one. Eight hours of which could only be described as a reconstruction of my spine.They had me up and walking immediately after the surgery, (which I have absolutely no recollection of), but I spent five days in the hospital, walking around more and more each day. They sent me home in a big back brace. I stayed with family for two nights and approximately one week after the surgery I was back home living on my own. Now I'm a month out and he just cleared me to resume full activity and to start PT. Oh, and I should probably mention that the surgery worked! All my pain is gone! I've got the spine of an 18 year old! Not only that but the incision (which was massive. Probably close to 2 feet long) is totally healed. There's almost no sign of it. I was expecting (maybe hoping, yeah, I'm that kind of guy) to have a nice juicy scar, but it's gonna heal up like nothing ever happened. I was in intense, chronic pain for years and it's gone! I had a couple follow ups with the office and now I'm about to go into PT and this year's long journey is about to come to an end. Thanks to Dr Nagasawa.

Dr. Melikian met with me 3 days later (my in network spine surgeon was 3 weeks out). He was kind, answered all my questions, explained everything in detail, and explained all my options. A few days later I had an Epidural. I emailed Cecilia a few questions and she and Dr. Melikian always responded really quickly. After seeking advice, i decided to schedule my L-5 S-1 fusion with Dr. Melikian even though he was out of network and was going to be much more expensive than if I went in network. They were very flexible on the date of the surgery. They not only told me exactly what to do to be ready for the surgery, but also helped me schedule some of the appointments (GP visit for physical, imaging, etc). They were awesome at communicating with the other doctors to get everything they needed prior to surgery. Because of the type of surgery, I also had to have a vascular surgeon perform some of the surgery. They introduced me to the vascular surgeon and set up a consult. That surgeon was also awesome. Super thorough consult with a great description of the entire surgery. Surgery day was a breeze. The surgery center and all the staff there were amazing. I was REALLY scared going in, but after the surgery I was amazed at how I felt. I have heard horror stories of this particular surgery from family and I didn't experience of those things. I am 9 days post surgery and I feel great. Don't bargain shop for spine and vascular surgeons. That's stupid. Get the best. It's way important than a car, house, or private school. You get what you pay for, pay for the best. Dr. Melikian is hands down the best. I will update this review in a few months.

I write this in my…read morethird month of recovery from the PAO and arthroscopy surgery: I am relatively young, in my early twenties, and never had surgery in my life, so the idea of getting TWO surgeries (Arthroscopy and PAO) was very scary. I also had another issue where I could not accept blood transfusions of any kind. That also added to my level of fear and distress. The idea of a minimally invasive PAO is not something I had heard of before and was very anxious. However, Dr. Garabekyan was SO patient in answering every question I had. His assistant Susie was also amazing and gave us anything we needed. When in the hospital, he frequently visited and called to make sure that I was okay. As expected, my hemoglobin did drop, but thanks to the salvage saving method used, I never had any critical blood loss/feel the side effects of anemia. I felt very, very minimal pain. The medication prescribed was perfect. The "hard" part was the period of 1-2 weeks after leaving the hospital, as sleeping was very difficult due to being a side sleeper. Dr. Garabekyan's advice (using many small pillows to relieve pressure) will helped getting through the night a lot easier. Another thing that amazed me is that he would answer our questions even on his vacation time. His recovery process was VERY well detailed, and we never needed to guess on what methods of recovery he wanted us to do. I have been to many hip doctors at Cedar Sinai and other hospitals, and I've never had a doctor as caring and patient as Dr. Garabekyan. Choosing him to do the surgery was the best decision I could make and I'm so thankful to his excellent communication skills, and of course his incredibly awesome assistant, Susie! :)

Dr G. is not only a specialist in hips, but he has true patient care. Every time I have visited…read morehim from problem diagnosis to final recovery, has been very well spent. His staff is very friendly, especially his assistant Zohra. His recommendation for therapy was also really great with Stay Ready PT in Brentwood. My hip surgery was about 4.5 months ago, and I can see tremendous strides. I am looking forward to getting back on the court and other sports activities with the great by product of Dr. G's surgery.
