He worked seamlessly with our wedding planner, Victoria with thatBliss, and I had zero hesitations going into the big day. I knew we were in good hands. Jonathan was extremely professional while MCing our wedding. He made all the appropriate announcements and kept the celebration flowing smoothly all night. With his clear, strong voice, relatable personality, and attention to detail, you cannot go wrong with Jonathan as the host of your big day! Jonathan is also an extremely talented artist. He performed live during cocktail hour and during dinner, and I had so many guests commenting on how much they enjoyed the live music. It was such a fun and unique addition. It really elevated the experience for everyone. Once the dancing kicked off, Jonathan absolutely nailed it. He seamlessly wove his go to dance tracks with our specially requested songs and made the dance floor the place to be. Our dance floor was open for about four hours including the after party, and Jonathan made sure to keep the energy high! We all had the best night and three months later, our friends and family are still talking about how much fun they had. I owe a big part of this to Jonathan. We cannot thank you enough!!

He made us feel like he had everything under control and that he knew when to accommodate us and when he could use his knowledge to make sure everyone had a great time. In the pre-ceremony, he mixed it up between some pre-selected songs I chose and played some live. I am a musician, so many of our family and friends that were in attendance are all musicians and singers. They all immediately were drawn to his smooth voice and incredible playing. The ceremony went great and had minimal to no tech issues, the sound was clear, he helped us incorporate our musician friends to play a song during the ceremony. He played our First Dance song live, and absolutely knocked it out of the park! We did a small choreographed dance to Love Like This by Ben Rector. His voice was perfect, and I was able to send him an edited version of the song that matched with our dance. He played it flawlessly and the moment was special for my wife and I, and for our guests. During the dinner, he played an acoustic set consisting of covers of 90s-2000s R&B songs, which were a huge hit with us and our guests. He played with a loop pedal and was able to simulate a full band with just his guitar and voice! He had some moving and grooving, singing along during dinner, while others were still able to hold a conversation without distraction. I gave him many songs to include in the dance portion of the night. And while he included MANY of my suggestions, he also knew when to throw in some crowd favorites to keep the party going. The dance floor was PACKED all night, the transitions between each song where seamless, and it became a fun game for my and my friends to try and guess what song he was cueing up next! My wife and I loved every musical moment of the evening, and it was exactly what we dreamed of for that day. All of our guests loved the music, and were so impressed not just with his professionalism and on stage banter with the crowd, but his musicality and rich voice. I have worked as a wedding musician for a few years, and as a gigging musician and singer for much longer. I have always feared that I would spend my wedding day judging the Wedding Band/DJ because of my high standards for live music. Jonathan blew every single one of those expectations out of the water, and he was such a breath of fresh air during a stressful period of wedding planning. I cannot recommend Jonathan Blake Salazar any more for your wedding. He is a dream to work with, and will do an incredible job performing, Emceeing, and DJing your special day!

He plays beautifully and takes requests for the processional, recessional, etc. If a song isn't in his current repertoire - don't sweat it, he'll learn it in a matter of days - nay, hours. You'd think a professional musician with this kind of confidence and skill would be unreliable, temperamental, as volatile as a rock god could be. Not so. John was prompt, professional, and responded to emails in a timely manner. The talent of a rock god, with the humility of a layperson? He exists. And his name is John Evans.

We had an unpleasant experience dealing with the musician after we came back from pictures to find him gone after only 2 hours. Our wedding planner was not even notified of his departure. Everyone thought this was strange, our guests and even the venue coordinators. We had planned for him to be there the whole time and this was not followed through. It was later explained that it was all a misunderstanding. However, the way this misunderstanding was explained was not clear or backed up by a contract. It was all very confusing, fishy, and extremely unprofessional. We feel we were mislead. As for musical ability, the musician has musical talent. Hence, the one star rating. It's really unfortunate that we had a terrible experience and musical talent is not enough to trump that. Weddings are a big deal, if we could go back we would hire a different musician.

My husband and I were not on the same page when it came to the music but Chris found a happy medium that fit both of our styles. Once the party started, the music was ON POINT. Our entire guest list was on the dance floor the entire night, which is exactly what we wanted. Chris played the perfect mix for our guests and we could not have been more thrilled. DJ Richard did not arrive to set up until 7:20 pm and didn't actually start playing music until about 7:40 pm. Guests arrived at 7 as instructed and there was no music to entertain them. Once he did set up the dinner had begun and I kept thinking of things to tell him. To my suprise my DJ was gone. Everytime I looked up for about an hour the DJ was gone, with tiny 2-3 minute intervals of actually being there, in the entire hour I would say he was there for about ten minutes.I had announcements that I wanted him to make but he was not there! Everytime I asked people if they had seen the DJ, the men in my party told me that he was in the bathroom. So finally I go stand outside the bathroom because I about had enough and he says that he is going to the bathroom a lot because his back hurts. But that excuse didn't explain why he was sweating profusely, licking his gums, acting strange, etc etc. I also complained that the playlist that he left running in his absence had NONE of the songs I had emailed him previous to the event. I wanted beatles, old school MJ, and country and instead was listening to Bob Marley. After I confronted him, he totally stepped it up and did a good job the rest of the night. He kept asking me if I needed anything, and checked in with me frequently. He stopped disappearing, and stayed at his DJ booth. At the end of the night I had a good time and he ended up playing good music, but for 600.00 I expected better service. He is lucky that I am a pretty laid back client

I am not surprised. He served as a Marine after all. Moses is....just perfect. From the undivided attention he showed to me and my husband to his professionalism, I would 100% recommend booking him if you're thinking about it. Moses played during our cocktail hour and first dance. Moses even made a custom track as my surprise gift from me to my groom. It was better than I could have imagined and totally worth the memories. Our guests loved him and he was so respectful, kind and gracious. A true class act! Having him at our wedding was so surreal. I was too starstruck when I saw him on wedding day and didn't interact with him as much as I wish I had! Pro tip: Actually talk to Moses at your wedding if you book him LOL Thank you Moses!!!!!!

Overall, we would so highly recommend Moses to anyone that is looking for a special way to elevate their wedding day, whether it be during the ceremony, cocktail hour, first dance, or dinner music.
