Always get me in on time, so friendly, and remember my name without looking it up. New office is super nice!

This review will give you a factual evaluation of a root canal procedure…read more DR. MARK SHALLAL-AYZIN performed surgery to remove infections around a root canal already installed. He performed the procedures without a total anesthetic, a terrible experience on the chair, extremely traumatic. His assessment of the X-ray was totally wrong. As soon as the antibiotic pills were finished the infection showed up, an immediate pain. The fact that his diagnostic of two expensive x-rays he took was a guess, not an educated guess. Feeling his hands and other nurses in the room, over my mouth, during the surgery, was torture, even though there was very little pain; he kept adding local anesthetic shots, but it was just a very traumatized procedure from where I was sitting. The entire episode cost was too high for what he did, and the failed result ended up a disaster for me who had to go to another endodontist to remove the entire tooth. my advice: examine every sentence in the initial assessment and procedure before you sign in. Look for a second opinion. do not go through this procedure with a local anesthetic, no matter how much this doctor convinces you about an easy procedure that would be. He is far too expensive for what he does. I got a far cheaper cost for redoing what Dr Shallal could not take care of, the infection, and ended up removing the entire tooth. finally, find someone else, and get a total anesthetic. Listen to your guts and feelings, when you meet DR. Shallal. He is unsure of himself, lacks confidence in his own words, and is uncertain of his own decision as to how to proceed. if you have prior torture experiences, have money, and don't care about your tooth, then this is your guy, take a seat and good luck.

As a former patient here, I do not recommend taking your children to this dentist…read more My sister and I were patients here as toddlers until we were 18 years old. The staff was horrible since we were children. They were rude to us, ignored our questions, yelled at us, even held down my younger sister when she was a scared 5 year old. Parents aren't allowed back there for a reason. In terms of dental care, they are awful. The orthopedic is amazing, no complaints. My sister and I both had wonderful experiences there. But the dentists are awful. They never answered our questions as children and even as an 18 year old. They would tell us they would talk to our parents instead. When it came to dental issues, they weren't taken seriously. We were always told to "brush more" and that we weren't doing a good job, even as 17 year olds who were brushing multiple times a day. They would tell us our teeth were fine with no issues, when in reality we had cavities and issues with our teeth. They wait until it's too far to fix these issues. After we turned 18, we switched to a new dentist. At the new place, 6 months after our last cleaning we were both told we had multiple cavities and issues with our teeth. My sister had to get a root canal when she was told her teeth were perfect 6 months ago from the pediatric dentists. At the new dentists we were treated with respect, and actually were given information and answers to our questions. We were given real advice rather than "brush more" and able to find the cause of any dental issues. This place traumatized me and my sister as children. We struggled for years and were extremely afraid of coming to this dentists due to the disrespect and awful patient care. There is a reason parents aren't allowed to go back with their children. I do not suggest any parent take their children to this dentist, take your money elsewhere for better care and a better experience.

I called 3 business days in advance to confirm they weren't going to make a big deal of it and they said they could see my kid as long as we didn't have symptoms and had tested negative. Never bringing my kids again here!

This guy retired several years ago. Hadn't given his employees a raise in five years!. I went to…read morehim for about 20 years. I now have to have $10K worth of oral surgery...out of pocket. My mouth is full of crowns that he did and several times, he offered to do it when I went in for a cleaning because "he had time" before the next patient. I believe he did unnecessary work on my self and my husband for insurance purposes. I know for a fact, he padded my kids bills in order to pay for several crowns that myself and husband had done by him. When I came home from one appt for the start of a crown procedure, I checked a previous EOB and saw that the same tooth had already been crowned and I refused to pay. We trusted him. Definitely took advantage of the system and nothing but a crook.

Over that time I became more anxious about needing actual dental work. Recently I needed a filling. I admitted I was caught up in a bit of anxiety about the whole thing, so Dr. Hirsch and staff made me feel very comfortable. He was gentle and caring and explained everything he was doing. He even told me that he while he was working he was watching everything from my eyes to my toes for signs of discomfort. The procedure was quick and painless. He even has a new "electric" drill that doesn't have that annoying high pitched sound that I so dread. I highly recommend Dr. Hirsch for the exceptional care and the utmost professionalism.
