After speaking to Stephanie my physical therapist I understand exactly what the plan was. She explained what dry needling & what to expect. We started on the bike to warm up, then went back to a private room where another PT came in and did the needling into some muscles that were strong trigger points. Surprisingly the needling was not any more painful than a mosquito ....but wait a few hours and then the severe throbbing ,aching, burning in back and 100x more painful than usual. At this point I have only been to pt 2x due to scheduling problems. And I missed one due to illness. Jeff listened to my concerns and I was feeling better just after two visits. Appointments were always on time and one on one, which was great having no interruptions with other patients. For the eight plus weeks I attended PT, twice a week, I worked primarily with the PT tech Nikole who was always cheerful and friendly without fail while guiding me through my therapy sessions. She made the mundane sessions so much easier to endure with her upbeat spirit. I worked with Christian on a few occasions, and he was just as professional and friendly as Greg. After that, I didn't go back - and he had me so convinced the pain was imaginary that when I had an ectopic pregnancy rupture, I didn't go to the ER for over a week. I was rushed into emergency surgery and almost died because of his mind games. Last week, I had a hysterectomy, which had pathology confirm I was suffering from adenomyosis all these years. Not in my head, not imaginary. W and my surgeon just suggested trigger-point injections to manage post-op pain. I wasn't making those up, either. I would not recommend Dr. Marvel to anyone suffering from chronic pelvic pain. He's not worth it.
