After a long day at work and feeling ugly I came across Davey Cuts. They where about to close but where able to cut my hair in order to make me feel good again. Davey took me in and cut my hair in a swift and fast fashion, you can tell he loves what he does and is super personable. The skin fade came out amazing!!! No cuts no burns!!! Horrible place to get a barbershop! As soon as I came in for a haircut, there were two barbers that approached my friend and I. As soon as I get in the chair and she asked me what I wanted, I said a low burst fade and she had no clue what I was saying. She gave me a super high fade, blending completely off, and so many cuts from the razor. Charged me $35 for everything including the massage and hot towel. Don't get me wrong, everything besides the haircut was good but the cut was just bad. Do not recommend to go here at all. Way too overpriced and they don't know what their doing. I believe the only person that knows how to cut hair might be the owner. I only saw pictures of him on the wall with other athletes. Lol Don't go here!!! read more

First of all the location is easy to get to, the shop is inviting, clean and well maintained but as good as that sounds David and his staff are even better. While I've only been going to David for over 4 years its the best shave cut and fade I've ever gotten... He's that good. read more

I liked this place for a while. Even though they have always been overpriced, at least it's a clean, professional environment unlike other barber shops. However recently I've been getting charged $25 for a very simple "Caesar" haircut (plus tip of course)! That's up from the $20 they used to charge, which was already more than the competition. My barber didn't even warn me or tell me why. That's unacceptable and I'll be taking my business elsewhere next time. Also as a side note: this shop is basically a shrine to the owner, which is very off-putting. Everywhere you look there's a picture of him with some celebrity, sometimes a relevant one and sometimes not. You'd think at least the business's social media would focus on the customers, but nope-- still just a shrine to the owner. I think that says something about what you should expect when coming here. read more

I took my 7 year old son to get a haircut today and Christian gave him a good haircut. Christian was very friendly, personable and skilled. Everything was sanitized and clean (everyone had masks) and I felt very comfortable. However, I was a bit stunned when I was handed my 30.00 bill for a 7 year old's haircut. I guess pandemic prices? Not sure, but I did leave Christian a 10.00 dollar tip so my 7 year old's haircut was more expensive than when I get my hair cut and blow dried in Inwood, lol. Will not go back because its expensive and I don't have deep pockets. One star is for Christian and because I want to support local businesses. But will go outside of my neighborhood next time. The owner of the shop might be famous for whomever he gives a haircut to, but the experience I had from the others were mediocre at best. I went for a simple beard trim/ touch up and the barber that was doing mine totally did not understand what I wanted. The trim he gave me ended up being short on the chin and longer on the sides of my cheek and neck. Probably would have been better off if I did the trim by myself. read more

I regret coming here every time I come. I decided to try it one more time after two disappointing attempts. The cuts are overpriced and it takes them forever for a simple cut. Plus they always try to get you to do all of the extra things so they can charge you more. Just go to Jerrys down the street. Much cheaper and he'll have you out in 30 minutes or less. read more

I've been here couple times and didn't like the way they cut my hair. Barbers other than the owner don't really know how to cut your hair unless you want something simple. I got haircuts from a young guy and a woman. $20 for this haircut isn't worth it at all. Even if they put a hot towel on your face and massage your shoulders. My gf can do it for free. I believe the owner is an old school barber and does very good haircuts, but he has to teach other barbers how to have personal approach to his clients. read more
