This is definitely a Sno-cone, not a Sno-ball! The person who took my order said they were New Orleans style sno-balls but this is inaccurate. A New Orleans style sno-ball is soft and melts in your mouth. It's like Snow . The ice at Dave's is crunchy and chewable. It's a Sno-Cone. Dave's Snowballs is fantastic! The prices are extremely cheap & there are so many flavors to choose from. They have classic flavors like cherry & blue raspberry, but I think what really makes them stand out is there flavor menu board of mixed syrup options like coconut and almond or tigers blood and mango passion fruit. They sometimes do special flavors like having a Star Wars flavor menu for May 4. There are picnic benches to sit at right next to the snow cone shack. It's quick, it's cheap and best of all, the snow cones are perfect on a hot day! read more

Walked up and had to tap on the window to wake up the person behind the counter. Ordered 2 sno balls and got 2 cups of water with some ice and condensed milk. I then had to tap on the window to wake the guy up again and returned the 2 melted sno balls, no refund offered, only an excuse that their sno balls are watered down and have a different texture than regular sno balls...seriously...this was the worst sno balls in the history of sno balls. Avoid this place, take your family somewhere else....garbage. read more

The last time I came to Dave's Snowball's 2 weeks ago, the ice was crunchy (snowballs are supposed to be fine Ice) and although I ordered a stuffed snowball there was no ice cream to be found. No biggie, it was a little busy and things happen. Crunchy ice like that was probably from dull blades and it's a smaller fix. I went today as it was hot as all get out and figured I might as well have a snowball as I sat in traffic going to work. I order a medium in a large cup as to not spill it in my car and boy was I disappointed. The ice was fine this time but the cup is a lump more than half filled. I know places like this get busy but that just really sucks. You want what you pay for and this was certainly not it. The service both times was great however and the snowballs do taste good. Just don't expect your money's worth and check to make sure you get what you order. Will not be returning. read more

Awesome spot! My family and I have popped in a few times going to/from the beach, and have been pleasantly surprised every time. I say this, because, you can choose up to three flavors per "snowball" (which are fairly priced, I might add), and more combinations than I can count. Wasn't until after our first visit did I see the allure in trying some of their "clear" flavors. Unless you're headed home after, you may not want to continue about your day if you tried their Blue Raspberry flavor, for example. Quite colorful :) read more

To start off, I waited too long for the guy to take my order. He was not very sociable, appeared as if he didn't want to be there. I asked for a medium and got maybe a small size amount of snowball. Before I could talk to the person about the portion size, he retreated back to his hiding hole. And there was barely enough syrup to go halfway through the ice. So disappointed and will never go back. We drove over from Pensacola because we have had great sno-balls at Dave's. This time was different. My 5 year old only wanted a scoop of vanilla ice cream and they refused to sell just a scoop of ice cream. Mind you, we ordered 3 snowballs so it wasn't like that was the only thing we were buying. To add insult to injury, the sno-balls weren't even good. Their ice is really hard and crunchy, not like a New Orleans snoball at all. What a waste of time. Take your money down to Island Sweets at Villagio to get much better shaved ice, ice cream, coffee, and friendlier service. read more

I arrived at 12:37 thinking they opened at 12. The owner arrived 3 minutes after me. I waited until 1 when they were suppose to open. 1:17 I walked around to the office door and asked if he would be opening. He stated his employee who makes the sno balls hasn't shown up and that he doesn't know how to make them right and he just does office stuff. The owner doesn't know how to properly make a sno ball??? He said I'll make them for you but it won't be good. What kind of business owner doesn't know how to operate his business in all aspects?
