Since their inception in 2006 Great Eastern Cutlery (GEC) has risen to the pinnacle of knife making, rivaling the best output of custom knife makers. If you like pocket knives the first time you handle a GEC knife is likely to blow you away. The quality of materials, construction, fit and finish is astounding. They are also very warm and inviting at their factory, and offer free daily tours, and a factory store where you can purchase knives. The tour is absolutely amazing. You are shown how a knife is made from beginning to end, and the attention to detail GEC puts into every knife makes you wonder how they can do it in these days of rushed mediocrity. If you love pocket knives, you just have to see this operation, as it is indeed unique.
