I have never dealt with a contractor who was more helpful, more on top of the entire job from start to finish than Austin. His crew did complete tear off and complete new roof on house and garage in one day and there was zero evidence they had been there except for the nice new roofs. They did everything from excavation, pouring concrete, framing, bathroom installation, electrical, finishing. Start to finish didn't take very long to move mom in with us. Mom loved her new space. They are very quick to respond and return for minor items and all the questions that we had. The cost was reasonable as well. This is the second time that we've hired them for construction and would hire them again.

I gave them a list of 5 or 6 things that needed finished, but instead they quit and said there was no warranty. Only thing I said I wouldn't pay for was the extra sheets of OSB they never used and admitted they did not. Porch canceled, because once I saw the cobbled mess, called barn doors, I knew they could not handle the job. Barn, not garage. There was no garage. No where does it state white gutters. U may have written that down somewhere, but I tried to talk to u twice and all you did was get mad, roll your eyes and walk away. Nita had black. You only covered the facia after I called you on it. One section still needs done. How dare I say," why didn't you do this, or why didn't you do that?" I shouldn't have to.! Your crew has no supervision; they just do what they want because u r never around. Whink Whink. But since they work so cheap for you, you really don't care what they do, or don't do. You never finished the job ! Of course you are not going to get the final 2900.00 dollars. Then hold the warranty hostage. Final payment not due until the job is finished.

The way these guys work is just amazing. They get there early and I mean early. Today they finished up the corn crib. They were there at 6:15am. It was not even daylight and they were working with lights on their head. The way they work in general is nothing I have ever seen out of any roofing company. One guy stays on the ground and is constantly cleaning. The other guys work their behinds off and take a very small break about 9am. Then lunch at noon which I am not sure was a half hour. Did not seem long and then a small break at around 3pm. They work and stay at it. There is no messing around or sitting around. They are all very nice. I had a couple questions and the one guy that was the foreman was very polite and nice and answered my questions. They cut a screen on one of the windows taking down the old shingle roofing. They took out the old screen and had it replaced in 1 day. No extra cost and nothing but an apology that it happend. Things like this happen, but they apologized for it. Not many people own up to anything it seems. I would and have recommended this company to anyone that listens. I would definately use them again if we ever have a building built that needs a roof. Right now everything on the property is brand new roofing. And it is Harford Green and beautiful. And I forgot to mention they clean up everything after the job is done. I think I only found 5 nails after the house, porch and garage roof were done. Did not find any after the barn was done and have not checked today for nails now that the corn crib is done. But I can tell you I would be very surprised if I found more than 2 at the most. These guys are great and the work is guaranteed.

Had a Unibult home set and finished by Kiefer Homes. The electric wiring done in the attached…read moregarage built on site by Kiefer was done incorrectly causing the outlet in the laundry room not to work. The master bed room Kiefer installed ceiling fan when the fan was turned on the the other ceiling light came on so you could not use the fan at night. They could not fix either issue with the electric. Unibult had to send an electrician down to correct Kiefer's screw up. Garage floor concrete cracked thirty days after moving into the home. They never really fixed it correctly still cracked. Vinyl siding keeps blowing off the house. Just had another piece come off guess I will fix it myself since they are totally worthless and never answer e-mails. They never really finished the job no steps to the front porch or rear sliding door had to pay someone else to get that done. They also tore up the property had get a dump truck of fill dirt brought in to fill all the ruts the left in the yard with the bull dozer and skid steer. Luckily I have a Kubota tractor with a front end loader a box leveler and pto driven tiller to do the finish grade with. Unibult builds a nice home but Kiefer ruined the entire experience.

Please, Get EVERYTHING in Writing Wanting to support a small…read morebusiness, and a women-owned business at that, I contracted with Jennifer of Two Women Contractors to help restore an unusable garage. It was built over an unfinished empty space, and the joists that supported it were cut so that it would not support the weight of a car. The Good: the firm did an effective job in supporting the garage. I will now be able to use it, and the work was completed in a timely manner. The Bad: the job cost much more than I was led to believe. The statement of work--which was a mostly empty page--said that the firm would complete the project for $7000. This was to include, the contract said, all labor and wood. It noted that metal posts would be needed, and they were not included in the total; this reflected the earlier text she had sent me saying they would be used "in combo with wood." Worrying about committing to an unexpected amount, I asked Jennifer about how many there would be, and how much they cost. "Two or three," she replied. There would also be screws and brackets, but I expected the total project to come in at about $7500. When the work was done (one gentleman for three relatively short days; his son for one of them), she sent me a note telling me they were finished. "May be a little overkill with the support post," she wrote, before telling me that the materials were "somewhere around $3000." Understanding that I had expected wooden posts with augmentation by metal supports, she wrote that "I think the Support posts were the better idea than putting in wood posts." I was shocked. My costs had gone up by almost 50%, and I had never been consulted. When I expressed my surprise, she cheerily pointed out that I had agreed to pay for the metal that was necessary, and she would send me an invoice. The invoice turned out to be just a series of Lowe's receipts. At no point, despite my repeated requests, was she ever willing to send me a real breakdown of the costs. Ultimately, she agreed to accept almost $9000 rather than the almost $10,000 that she requested. But she never acknowledged that it would have been appropriate to consult with me before she decided that metal was better than wood, to ensure that I was willing to bear the great increase in cost. The Ugly: part of the reason that she agreed to accept a lower amount than she originally demanded was that I checked the Lowe's receipts that she sent. She claimed they totaled $2805. But when I added them up, they amounted to $2431. Worse, they included things that were clearly either resupply for her team (drill bits, for example) and things that were not used on my project (interior moulding, which was clearly used on someone's project she was working on, but it certainly wasn't in the spider-filled unfinished space beneath a detached garage). Considering that the days-long discussion we had after the project included her repeatedly pointing out that the only thing that was included in the original $7000 was wood, it was almost funny that the receipts also included over $100 for pine 2 x 8 boards. The Moral: use this contractor if you wish. Jennifer is very personable, and the people she deploys, if the carpenter she sent to my project is representative, are talented. The job was done quickly and well. But get everything in writing. And read carefully every receipt that she sends you, so you don't end up paying twice for things or paying for someone else's projects.
