The very first time I entered Gentle Dental Group was to get examined to get all my wisdom teeth…read moreremoved. The receptionist was very friendly and checked me in- although I had forgotten some paperwork initially and they did need it. That was my fault but they were able to work with me (your mileage may vary! Please bring your paperwork with you if you were referred!) and I was able to be seen, examined, and got a estimate. They went over any questions I had, which is comforting! A bit pricey as I was quoted bone grafts but after doing some research and asking some questions, I decided moved forward with it. I set up my appointment and it was a waiting game. My appointment wasn't for a couple of months and I was informed a month prior to my appointment that the doctor wasn't going to be in and had to be rescheduled. It made me a bit scared because my work had approved of the prior appointment schedule and I wasn't too sure if they could accommodate it. But we have to remember stuff like this happens. It ended up working out! During the week just prior to my appointment, I've received texts on 3 separate occasions despite me confirming multiple times. Then they also called me to confirm my appointment and also to give me instructions prior to the visit. I needed a driver, and the driver had to remain in the building. The texts seemed a bit over the top, but at least they're thorough! Come the day of my appointment, I check in with reception and the receptionist was fantastic, straight to the point, kind, and funny too! I also witnessed the young receptionist sit down with an older lady who was in distress and talk to her. Stuff like that sticks out to me, and although I didn't get the receptionist's name- customer service like that? You can't really find anywhere else and that's when I knew this place is worth coming back to. The one thing that pains me a lot about writing this review is I forgot the names of everyone I interacted with! The woman technician who brought me to the back to set me up for my procedure was absolutely fantastic- answered my questions, expressed care and compassion like no other, and felt genuine. The male doctor, I believe his name is Dr. Hughes- he is super easy to talk to and both he and the technician were able to walk me through the procedure and help me understand the process. They did the procedure and although I've had a rough past couple days, I still had some numbness that I was worried about. Luckily, they were able to accommodate me today (may not always be the case!) So today as I'm writing this review, I was just there about an hour ago because of my concern. The one thing I was grateful for was the technician that was with me the same day as my procedure was also there today and was able to see me! Although I would've preferred to see the same doctor, I was able to be seen by the another fantastic doctor. Since I was with the same technician, it gave me relief because she had some understanding regarding my case, and also gave me the one thing I needed: reassurance. When I saw the female doctor and discussed my concerns with her, she was also great! She understood my concerns, addressed each point, and gave me realistic expectations. They then sent me off. I was very happy with their customer service and the way they showed that they care. Huge thank you to the staff at Gentle Dental Group! I can't believe I forgot or didn't ask you all for your names! The technician that was with me the day of my procedure and my recheck today was one of the kindest people I've ever met!

I've had dental work done in the past that's had to be redone, and have had my fair share of unpleasant experiences, even during routine cleanings. I've been so sore and in pain for days, unable to properly eat, from just a regular tooth cleaning - I used to dread those appointments. It was very simple to make an appointment online which was already a plus. This place is also about 10 minutes away which was also convenient. The front staff is nice, not rude or condescending like some other places. I didn't have to wait long until I was called in. I had X-rays done, and then the Dr came in and actually spent a good amount of time just getting to know me as a person. After looking at my X-rays and doing a quick exam, he gave me a simple treatment plan for one tooth. He explained everything thoroughly and answered every question I had. I was even able to get my teeth cleaned with Zareh the same day and he was really efficient and gentle - no pain or soreness afterwards at all. I'll be going for my treatment in a few weeks so I'm a little nervous but feeling optimistic. I'll have to update this review after treatment so hopefully everything goes smoothly.

The squatters had to go, AKA - wisdom teeth...If we didn't extract them they would cause utter chaos to the rest of the permanent teeth. Dr. Lokot was very thorough in explaining the process and was easy to talk to. The consult included X-rays for $235. (it is not deducted from your procedure) We scheduled the oral surgery a week after the consult with Natalie. Again, she explained what to expect and the instructions before the surgery. Let me tell you, everyone here is SUPER NICE!!! They made this entire procedure so much easier. They asked us to arrive 15 mins before the surgery. Ella was done in 30 mins and ready to go home 30 mins later. (60 mins total) Susie, one of the surgical nurses gave us after care instructions, more gauze and the ice pack that went around her head. Natalie gave me the prescriptions for antibiotics, pain management and ibuprofen which I filled downstairs at the pharmacy while Ella was under sedation. By the time we got home Ella was feeling okay with little discomfort. By the evening she was pretty much herself. Woo hoo! She does have to eat soft foods and care for her incisions for the next week or so but I am very pleased with the overall outcome. Thank you to Dr. Lokot, Natalie, Cindy, Susie, Jessica and the rest of the staff. We appreciated your kindness. *Dr. Lokot called tonight to see how Ella was doing ! Who does that any more???! *Parking lot - they validate *Pharmacy in the same complex *They take Credit/Debit or checks. *They ask you to fill out paper work online before your initial consult. This saves a lot of time for both parties. *They do accept Dental Insurance if you have it. We don't since it's not cost effective for our needs.

Parking is in the medical center and they offer validation. The waiting room and the office is very clean, the girls at the front are friendly and helpful. Dr. Cheung is Fantastic!!!!! My son and I were quite nervous for his consultation but Dr. Cheung put us as complete ease, he made us laugh, he has great bedside manner and he explained the whole process of the surgery. The next day I heard from his staff on when the Dr could perform the surgery and the costs associated. His staff the two girls in the front were very pleasant, informative and a pleasure to deal with. I literally would call the office all the time and the girls were so kind to answer all my questions. Day of surgery I had a few questions regarding my sons medication and they were so kind to contact the Pharmacy and literally answer my questions and concerns. I called like 5x that day and not once did the girls sound annoyed they were genuinely happy to help. Day of surgery all went well and Dr. Cheung called that night to see how my son was doing and answered my questions. He was just really nice and such an amazing Dr. He really knows what he is doing. One thing that I also like about Dr. Cheung is that he is extremely honest, caring, knowledgeable and he doesn't over medicate. My son didn't require any pain meds, Dr. Cheung gave him some homeopathic meds which really helped with his healing, swelling and oral health. I'm so thankful to have this experience with Dr. Cheung, I highly recommend him. He is an AWESOME Dr.

Well fast forward 8 months & I'm still numb there & have pain every time I brush my teeth if the brush touches my cheek so I have had to change everything involving my mouth. I still bite my lip inadvertently many times not even always when eating, but certain movements when talking, laughing, etc. He has never given me an explanation for why I'm numb & having pain there. I went in today 6 weeks after the temporary implants were placed, expecting to go to sleep & be done with this horror show, but instead he adjusted one of them. But I asked how much longer til it's done, being obviously upset cause I was NPO thinking this was the placement of the permanent implants, CAUSE NOBODY CALLED to tell me different & I asked 3 times, how much longer? The dr kept answering with explaining well we have to see how your bite...etc, but never answered my question, then when I'm getting more anxious & my voice raises slightly he tells me I have to calm down, so I say calm down my life has been changed by this & I'm still in pain & numb & I get emotional & you say I'm yelling, this is not yelling (I say almost in tears) he repeats, well you have to calm down I can't talk to you like this. WTF? He basically ruins my mouth & is upset that I'm upset about it. So I just left. I need a place that does what they say & communicates any changes in plan prior to the appt. It's absolutely ridiculous especially dealing with a patient who is traumatized just going to dentist & had already suffered life altering effects from previous dental work, ALL WHICH HE KNEW BUT OBVIOUSLY COULDN'T HANDLE. Don't go here if you're a fearful patient, dr elias will just traumatized you further & treat you like it's your fault because of your intense fear. Being a retired ER nurse & dealing with many patients in many states, I have to say he is very unprofessional when dealing with patients fears & emotions, it's inexcusable to expect the patient to hide their feelings because you, the doctor, have issues, you're there to provide a service & comfort the patient, not the other way around. And if you make a mistake that changes the patient's life, you should Own it & not try to act like the patient is the problem, but your skills leaving the patient numb & in pain are the TRUE problem.
