There are better clinics in Bellaire if you can drive. Unfortunately, it's one of a few Vietnamese clinics in this area, so my parents have no better choices. On Dec. 30, I felt really sick as my ears were in pain. I came to the office at 8:40ish and was turned away by a nurse because I needed a negative COVID test result even though I was fully vaccinated. It took me until 2pm the same day to get a negative test result. Guess what! I called and the same nurse told me that Dr. Tai didn't do walk-in that day because of COVID. I came to another clinic in Bellaire and they didn't even ask me for the COVID test. All they care was I was sick, and I needed to see a doctor ASAP. I got even more sick because of running around to find a place that has COVID result in a day. The nurse should have told me that they didn't accept walk-in when I was there in the morning. I wasted my time and energy for nothing!!! This is not the only bad experience I have. In 2016, my sister and I came for HPV vaccine. I asked if they offered the vaccine there. A nurse told us that there was no such vaccine in the world. We left and got the HPV vaccine from Dr. Bich Nguyen's clinic. It was funny because she was a nurse and did not even know about HPV vaccine. In summary, if you don't want your blood pressure to go up, go somewhere else.

Ive been a patient of Sawar for years but will NEVER return after I was treated as if I was a piece of trash by his front office staff. I will be letting my family and friends who are patients of Dr Sawar know what an awful group of people are working for him and, because I actually CARE about my loved ones, move their healthcare services to another Dr. If these people can't handle the stress of healthcare then they need to get a job in an industry that does not require human interaction.

Very rude doctor with a feudal lord-like attitude. Desi Patients Watch out! بتتمیز ڈاکٹر ، , !…read more I have been going to this practice since Enayet Rahim, MD opened this practice 15+ years ago. Dr. Jawad Sarwar took over Dr. Rahim's practice sometime around 2015-2016 (fair guess). He was nice at the beginning and I liked seeing him. On the first day I saw him, I asked where he got his medical degree from and he answered that although originally from Pakistan, he went to medical school here in the USA. I looked up later in the Texas Medical Board website and found out he went to medical school in Mexico (Univ Auto De Guadalajara, Fac De Med, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico) and hence he is a foreign medical graduate. He did not need to hide this information from me as many FMGs practice in the USA! I started to notice his behavior going downhill around 2018. I noted Dr. Sarwar putting me on a defensive mode (at several encounters) that creates emotional trauma (micro level or to a greater extent and makes me feel more defensive). He also started to act more like a feudal lord that history noted in the Indian subcontinent during the British colonial period (still prevalent in Pakistan). This attitude comes (in my opinion) when someone makes some money in this country and start thinking he/she can buy anything or anybody and hence act like a feudal lord with false sense of financial security. Here are some examples I observed as well as learned from some of his patients: * Yelling at patients when paged for prescribing wrong dose of a medication which put the patient to an on and off distressing vomiting episodes for continuously 3-4 days and saying that paging was not important as he was going from hospital to hospital taking care of patients. Actually he has hospital privilege only with Memorial Herman Hospital in the Southeast zone and HCA Clear Lake. The yelling was pretty nasty and set the patient on a bad emotional state for few days. * Repeatedly cutting off the patients during encounters * Telling patients "You are taking care of your own" so that the patient may feel guilty for whatever reasons that the doctor intends to * Laughing at patients' complaints * Angrily holding his white coat and shaking it up and down and asking the patient whether the white coat raises the patient's blood pressure at his clinic * Fighting with patients for his own rights saying "I decide" and the patient reminds 'Patients have the right to ask, don't you see the ads for meds'? * Accusing patients of having said something at social settings about the doctor and then asserting, in the false sense of security of his office that he is right and the patient is lying. Unfortunately, these misbehaviors are not being reported so that the doctor could learn to change his behavior and gives the patients the dignity they deserve.
