He quoted a price immediately and it outbid every other business so I hired them. This was a legal EVICTION of a WAREHOUSE with OFFICES, a KITCHEN & 1.5 BATHROOMS. It involved a Judge with court appearances & a Jefferson Parish Constable who was onsite for the entire eviction. Junkluggers showed up on time with 3 huge dump trucks (5 in total) & several very strong men to move extremely heavy and bulky items. They were able to do the job in half of the time that I anticipated. Another plus about Junkluggers was that they carefully separated what was junk/trash from the nice items that the evicted tenants left behind that could be donated or recycled. Junkluggers went above and beyond what we anticipated and did additional work that they did not charge us for. We were very impressed and couldn't be more pleased with the price quoted. I've had to call to remind once or twice in the beginning when we first started to recycle, but since then, they've been on it... Doing a great job. Saturday morning the Richard's truck goes up my street but instead of picking up the trash on one side of the street like they've done for years the driver decided to get in the turn lane and have his workers pickup on both sides of the street. But sure enough they bypass my house and do not pick up my trash. So I called their phone number and after a few tries ( their phone rings 4 times and then ends the call ) I finally get someone to answer. I told her about the missed pick up and she says she will look at the truck's GPS and return my call. I never heard back from her and my trash never got picked up. This is totally unacceptable. How the heck do the workers not see my trash can at the curb? Plus this is not the first time this has happened. Our rates keep going up yet their service gets worse. Picking up trash is not rocket science, there is no excuse for missing a resident's trash pick up. I also wonder if I'm the only one this has happened to, I'm willing to bet there have been many others. It sure seems like after getting their big contract from the city, there is no concern to provide quality service. They have their money and now they let the chips fall where they may. Maybe our city council should reconsider who to hire next time their contract runs out. Again, there is NO excuse for missing a residents curbside pick up.

Since I was doing all the work myself (not recommended, as it was more than I bargained for), I needed to contract the services of a dumpster rental company to haul away the tons of concrete and soil from my excavation project. My needs were simple and my choice was made based on least cost. I didn't need a fancy neon painted dumpster with a slogan on the side; not that there's anything wrong with that. All I needed was a fair price, a guaranteed delivery time and a quick pickup once I was done. J & L Demolition and Dumpster fulfilled all my dumpster needs. The salesperson was a very nice lady and helped me estimate the size dumpster I needed over the phone. The price was very reasonable and I was immediately put in contact with the driver to coordinate a delivery date and time. On the date of delivery, the driver showed up within 30 minutes of the pre-determined time and dropped it exactly where I requested. As it said previously, I didn't need a fancy neon painted dumpster and that's exactly what I got. In fact the name of the company (J&L) and the phone number were spray painted on the side with what appeared to be a can of Krylon. But who cares, I was happy to get the savings passed on to me. After I filled it to the brim with concrete and dirt (a few weekends later), I made the call to have it picked up and as promised, it was picked up the very next day with hardly a trace that it was ever there. Easy peasy!
