One of my favorite things about traveling is being able to try local coffee shops everywhere we go…read more This trip to COS, we were only able to check out one spot, but Shady Lawn was great! Location was easy to find, open on a holiday (Labor Day), with a good selection of drinks as well as a food menu. Service was personable and friendly, and even the regulars in line with us made recommendations and conversation. We got the Raspberry Cheesecake Coldbrew (a featured special) and a hot chai latte (purported to be the best in town), at around $12. Both drinks were really tasty, and I like that the cold brew was balanced out by the flavored cold cream so it wasn't too bitter or too sweet. Hoping to come back again next time we're in town, since they're right down the street from my inlaws.

Also, my coworker's portion was noticeably larger. The food itself was very tasty and the peanut sauce on the side (you have to ask for it) was a delicious addition. This being said, the place is bery clean and upscale. Service was pretty friendly and there is a ton of private parking in the plaza lot. Bathroom was clean as well. Overall, a decent spot but if the prices were lower or the portion was a bit larger this would be a killer spot I would frequent.
