The second was I checked on the internet what was a typical fee for attorney service for a home sale in NJ and found it to be $1500 to $2000. When I asked Seth what his fee would be he stated on the phone call "about $1500" as the" buyer attorney has more heavy lifting" As it turned out the sale was elongated due to the buyer having some difficulty securing financing. However, the fee ended up being over $5000. That is more than triple the original estimate. When asked to reduce the fee or even acknowledge the original estimate Seth refused. The fee agreement was based on hourly rates not a fixed fee. The services provided were professional and high quality but I felt I was taken advantage of in the high price required to be paid.
