We reached Ken Wirth and instead of pushing us off because it was close to closing on the weekend, he took the extra time to answer all our questions, sent us additional information and stepped us through every aspect of buying and owning a pool table. Every time we called or emailed, Ken was very personable and professional and answered our questions without hesitation or evasion. We felt as if we mattered to Johnson Fitness and I truly believe that is the way they treat every customer; frankly, good old-fashioned customer service in action. The delivery and set-up process by the third party Johnson Fitness works with went great too so Johnson Fitness has the entire acquisition process wired to ensure customer satisfaction. Not seeing any displayed on the showroom floor, I turned around to walk out (thinking, perhaps, they no longer sold pool tables). The sales representative (Kenneth Wirth) asked me what I was looking for, and I said Pool Tables. He stated they didn't keep them on the floor, but they did sell them. We went over to his desk where he took his time showing me the different options I could choose from. He informed me of a Labor Day Special, which included free delivery and set up of the table. He was MUCH' more competitive in price than any other store I visited in person, or online. I made my custom selections for the 8' Brunswick Glenwood I decided on and began my wait of the 4-to-6-week delivery date; I got it in 4 weeks. The guys who delivered and set it up for me were a blast, and very professional (it only took them a couple of hours). Kenneth not only kept me informed of the status of my order while waiting for delivery, but he also followed up with me after I had the table for a few days to make sure everything was to my satisfaction, which everything absolutely was. Play It Again Sports buys and sells gently used sports items was the draw for my family. we've probably shopped there about 40 times in the past 10 years on the type that I want to inform and give the full picture out of the 40 times we shop there I would say 37 of those times we left satisfied and found what we needed but th two terrible experiences with Play It Again Sports had nothing to do with thestaff of the store the cleanliness of the store or the ability an inventory of the store the terrible experiences one I was shopping there alone. I was the only customer in the store and the owner and one employee when I walked into the door the owner was verbally assaulting the female employee. I didn't hear what was being said exactly but, what I did see was the female employee could not have been over High School in age and she was in tears the owner of the store was speaking disgusting words to her and when I left I felt very uncomfortable and felt sad for the employee I never shopped there without my husband again the second two should never be said and my second bad experience was yesterday when my family was in the parking lot before we went in the store we saw homeless gentleman sitting under the one tree in the blazing hot parking lot he was picking up trash that was around him he was not verbally interacting with patrons he was simply sitting alone he was wearing pretty much Rags as a shirt holding a rosary and saying his prayers he looked defeated he was not smoking cigarettes or drinking like usual homeless people do he also was holding a sign but his sign did not say the typical homeless need money his sign only said one word "help" He was not on playing against Sports property the only connection he had to the store was when you walked out the front door if you have eyes you couldn't miss him it's hard to miss a gentleman wearing rags in this 100° Heat he was the only one sitting down he looked defeated and as we left the owner was walking out the door and the owner made sure he told the gentleman he didn't like having to walk out of the store and his eyes having to look at him the owner said it's not a good look to have you near my store I was blown away it wasn't like the homeless guy was bothering Play It Again Sports is patrons or littering out front of his door or drinking smoking cigarettes the homeless guy was picking up trash sitting alone saying his prayers and holding a sign that just said "help" at 10 years of shopping in the store even though most of my experiences were positive .It's sad that the owner is the common denominator of my two bad experiences.Usually you would see its the staff or the cleanliness or lack of inventory makes the experience negative. I do hate that I'll have to drive an hour across the water from Newport News to go to a different Sporting Store but I can't in my right mind give my money to an owner of a company that feels that he is so Superior to every human that he can't even stand having to look at someone less fortunate than himself I would hope that anyone that does read this whole post ask himself you could be that homeless guy and can you imagine when it's 100° outside and you already feel defeated someone to come out and tell you that you're bothering him because he has to look at you.

I placed my order by 3 PM and opted for in-store pickup, registering my number for text updates regarding my order. However, I did not receive any text notifications. I then returned to the Dick's app to chat with their AI assistant. I inquired about my order and when it would be ready for pickup, and the AI indicated that it would be ready within two hours. By 7 PM, I still had not received any updates, so I decided to call the store. When I spoke to a Dick's employee about my order, they were unable to locate it and went to fetch their manager, Averie. Upon speaking with Averie, I provided her with my order number and mentioned that I had not received any text messages, inquiring about the status of my order. She informed me that she had not received my order. I asked her why, given that I placed my order online at 3 PM. She patiently listened and requested a few minutes to contact their tech support to determine why my order had not been received. Less than 10 minutes later, Avery called me back to inform me that their system was down, causing delays in processing online orders. She mentioned that I could expect an email by 10 PM notifying me when my order was ready. I agreed to wait. The next day, I called again around 1 PM, and fortunately, Averie answered the call. I informed her that I had not received the email. She asked if she could call me back while she contacted headquarters to find out why my order had not been processed. I was grateful that she was able to handle this herself, as I wouldn't have known where to start. I also appreciated Averie's assistance during my calls; receiving answers from a human is much more reassuring than an automated AI response. Ultimately, I was able to visit the store on Sunday and purchase the bicycle.
