These were all contractor's engaged by Wendy that she was responsible for overseeing. But the worst was the $15,000 wall unit that was built in my bedroom where I stressed the importance of my desk area. There was not a single outlet available on that wall to plug in anything so they had to chop up the wall unit so that I could plug in my computer. Wendy was nowhere to be found. While she responded to my emails and texts, she never came back over to the apartment once I arrived to assist in getting any of this resolved. In addition, she attempted to bill me for hours spent looking at furniture before consulting with me. Her "design product" consisted of a bunch of screenshots from Perigold. I immediately fired her and took over the work-- i don't believe Wendy is professionally trained at any level Certainly her care about her clients is lacking. Felt like she would just get away with whatever she could.

She came back with a beautiful design board that I loved. She picked out lighting, window treatments, and furniture that I wouldn't have picked on my own. I wanted fresh ideas that took me out of my comfort zone and we love the look of everything Wendy did. It is even amazing to see the effects of new lighting and art on the entry way. Wendy and her team are easy to work with and we enjoyed the whole experience.

For me, she picked…read moreout some fun wallpaper for bathrooms, and replaced dated light fixtures (sconces, pendants, chandelier). Definitely an improvement to my home. $90k total. Where they can improve: To me, there are three attributes of a vendor that are every bit as important as a keen design eye. 1) They do what they say they will do, and 2) when they can't do #1, they keep me informed, and are transparent, and 3) they take responsibility and act with integrity. TWI fared poorly on all three counts. The overall proposed project delivery date was missed, as were many of the intermediary milestones. TWI attributed the delays to other vendors from whom TWI sourced their products. TWI characterized the delays as "par for the course since covid". However, TWI mentioned none of these delays in either our pre-contract discussions, or their original project proposal. Planned delivery dates would come and go, promised phone call appointments would come and go, I'd take a day off work to be home and workers wouldn't show up. Instead of informing me immediately when a delay was encountered, TWI said nothing until I called them to find out what was up. This was "par for the course" in my dealings with TWI. Promise dates came and went, and I had to chase them down. This to me is unprofessional and showed a lack of respect for my time. With regard to taking responsibility, I will highlight the most egregious incident. Tiffany ordered new pendant lights to replace those over a kitchen bar. The originals were small, maybe 5lbs each. Tiffany ordered 2 very large replacements, over 100 lbs each, the size of beer kegs. $18-20k in total. Massive. TWI's electricians informed me that the ceiling could not bear the weight of the "pendants", and that even if they figured out how, the pendants would have to be much further apart or they would touch, and they would hang only 20" from the top of the bar, blocking the view/use of the bar by anyone sitting there. There was nothing in TWI's proposal about reinforcing a ceiling. The lights Tiffany ordered simply wouldn't work and I asked for another solution, which her husband said she already had, and would provide me the next day. No solution came the next day, and instead I overheard TWI blame their electricians for talking me out of accepting them. By this time, the project was so long overdue, I just wanted to be done. I asked for a refund and said I would take care of finding the new pendants myself. About a month later, and after incessant hounding, I finally get a refund and I'm shocked (not shocked) that it was only for half the price I paid. With shipping, and restocking, that's what was left. TWI accepted absolutely no responsibility for their error. The moral of my story is this: An artistic eye is one thing. Running a business is another.

We had about 4-6 appointments set up with contractors and except for one time when a guy showed up for about 10 mins to look at my soffits nobody ever showed. They got lost, she didn't hear her phone ring so they left, they are on vacation all of a sudden, they fell off a ladder, etc. I gave her a deposit of 25k for contractors down payments once we found them and had agreed on appliances and material. Unfortunately I had to go North and help my father in June and July and nothing ever materialized and I decided to sell my condo. When I approached Robyn and let her know and needed my 25k deposit money back as we never agreed on any contractors or anything, she refused. Initially she said that was her money for all her "time". To be nice i offered her another 5k and said send me the 20 and we will be even. Nope, Robyn then said the money was given to contractors for deposits and that "nobody gives back deposits Tim" and that I should never contact her again. This is literally the definition of theft and I am pursuing legal avenues.. I just think people should know what kind of business she operates. This is all the truth and factual and I can back this all up. Beware *************************UPDATE 6/24/2024********************************************************************************************************************************************************** Robyn Monahan's reply to my review on google comes after being sued in Palm Beach County. The statements in her reply are a choreographed response to attempt to bolster her false account of this miserable experience. She is a big talker, but produced nothing of value. Contrary to her backpedaling fabrication, at no time did I ever utilize her design for a small urban condominium for use in a large single family country home. This claim is delusional. In fact, she was informed that my new home needed no renovations and her services (in another state) would not be required. Her claims are easily refuted by email correspondence memorializing my termination of her services and multiple requests that she return my unused advanced funds of $25,000. This scheme of hers is to take your money, do nothing, and then tell you she earned it because she spent hundreds of hours thinking about your design. If she is so wonderful, shouldn't design come to her quickly? Really? Hundreds of hours thinking about a small condo? After confronting her again, she claimed that she gave my $25,000 to an appliance company. I asked for the name of the appliance company and for a copy of the receipt. Despite repeated requests that she furnish some proof that my money went to purchase appliances, she has never provided a receipt or a name. All part of her coverup. This is just like the stories that have been in the news lately of the pool contractors that take your money, do nothing, and then claim that they spent your money on improvements. Those folks were arrested. I completely dispute every word of Robyn's "response" and have a paper trail that can back it up. I only wish I had researched this contractor before contracting with her. She was disciplined by the State of Florida for unlicensed contracting. The complaint and settlement agreement are available to the public on DBPR. Other reviewers echo my miserable experience. Her favorable reviews are either fake or relatives. Good luck to anyone who trusts her.
