There is a FAMILIENFEST INTERNATIONAL at the place. It's great, it's for the kids and the family and it's for free. Lock out for it, because it had in the past not been very well promoted beforehand! The event connects to the annual ILB (Internationales Literaturfestival Berlin), a big literature festival in Berlin, running for about a fortnight. Therefore that Sunday in September is about BOOKS for kids of different age, books presented by their international authors. Bits of texts will be read in German by well-known readers or even actors, though parts of it will be read by the authors themselves in original language. Kids and their adult company are welcome to ask questions to the writers. Additionally, there'll be running non-reading activities within the house and outside and inexpensive food and soft-drinks can be purchased.

We are visitors from the US and were looking for something to do with our two kids (9 and 11 years…read moreold) during a very rainy day in Berlin. We have been to a fair amount of indoor play places in the States and I knew that my kids would like this sort of place in general. While these places are probably best for younger kids (5-8 year old), my two kids had a lot of fun running around, climbing the structures, and being able to run around. Because we went on a Saturday and because it was raining the place was packed. My kids would give it three stars because there were too many kids but they liked the place nevertheless. If you are in the city and are looking for something to do with your younger kids on a rainy day, this is a good place to go. They have a bistro so you can buy food. Please note that you cannot bring in your own food.

Wir spielen doch gar nicht wäre ok 4€ vllt aber 10€ nein! Dann das Essen - Pizza kostet dort 10-12€? Wie in einem Restaurant! In anderen Indoor-Spielplätzen bezahlt man meistens 4-5€. 6 Stuck chicken nuggets 6€?!? Lächerlich ... Und am Ende sollten die Kinder noch alle Bälle sammeln - für 2 Bonbons Sorry, aber das ist nicht die Aufgabe der Kinder, sondern vom Personal. Die einzige gute Sache ist, dass die Kinder Spaß hatten. Aber ehrlich gesagt: nicht für dieses Geld. Für mich war das das erste und letzte Mal dort. Nie wieder.
