This cafe was full but we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and efficient. Though my German is not great, the server was patient and we met in the middle as he spoke some English. I had the chicken schnitzel with French fries and crème brûlée for dessert! I enjoyed it and will return if I'm back in Trier!

I took the tourist train through Trier and I saw this as we tooled around and I had to come back as…read moresoon as I got off that train! To my delight, they were able to seat me right away on their gorgeous outdoor patio. I was a little confused at first but soon realized that you actually go inside to place your order and then they bring the food out to you. I ordered a glass of white wine and the shrimp salad. The wine was delicious and perfectly complimented the salad. The salad was good. It was a little small so I wish I had ordered something else because it didn't satisfy my hunger but it was super tasty! I loved the gorgeous views provided on the patio. Everything was just so nice. The staff were great. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Trier!
