Apparently, Vision Source decided to cancel my appointment without talking to me. Preferring to tell me in person that I am too poor to be seen there. Was it fun to try to humiliate me in person with a haughty attitude when I asked why I couldn't just pay cash for my appointment? I was also refused the possibility of rescheduling my appointment, because "their system was down." What an incredibly condescending and horrible experience. I was just trying to get my eyes examined so I could have surgery. I was the victim of extreme domestic violence- I have a complicated case and partial blindness. It's hard to get up the courage to go to an eye doctor to have my trauma addressed. Prepare to be humiliated and treated poorly by office staff if you have had any domestic violence related injury. I walked out of that office bawling, in tears, after finding out that my appointment had been cancelled. What a horrific experience.

Only 1230 souls in lovely Waitsburg. And in this sleepy hollow of a town you have several cool bars (Jimgermanbar {http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-jimgermanbar-waitsburg#hrid:3EbNGxgXCa9iYXHTE6x8zQ} is about the best bar anywhere---I guarantee it) and the lovely Whoopemup Hollow Cafe {http://www.yelp.com/biz/whoopemup-hollow-cafe-waitsburg#hrid:E2OxB3IWErvOPspEyhTd2g} across the street (yummy Cajun and legendary desserts!). In addition to this goodness, my lovely group got to check out a nice little art gallery. After another evening for the ages at Jimgermanbar, Jim walked us over to the gallery next door, AMO ART (see photos). Here we got to check out Jim's dogs, and then check out the exhibit of one of Waitsburg's own. The gallery, like Jimgermanbar, is minimalistic cool. The pieces were tastefully arranged in the space. The hardwood floors, lighting, and of course the art did exactly what Jimgermanbar does: transport you---they beam you to somewhere far away, but also right back to Waitsburg. The City of Waitsburg is jewel. I feel a little hesitant to toot their horn. I feel like I should keep it on the hush, just like my little fishing holes on the Touchet River which Runs Through Waitsburg. AVO ART has taken Waitsburg . . Up . . Another . . Notch
