Last year, after deciding life is too short for all that, I called Boudoir Magic and the loveliest woman picked up. Amanda is the kind of person you meet once and she's already a great friend. She will actively melt alway all the jitters, every step of the way. She's just incredibly warm, funny and relatable. I decided to opt for a payment plan, which not only was offered freely but was also simple and very achievable for my one income family. Fast forward to August and I'm nervously walking up to the studio, still not sure if I understand how any of this works. I approach the door and Amanda is opening it before I can stop to knock. She's just good like that. The studio is gorgeous, you can see the time and effort put into perfecting the sets. Amanda also provides everything needed for the day. She has amazing artists for your hair/makeup, and an impressive collection of attire, all meant to make you look and feel like a goddess. (She even gave me my favorite coffee. ) Amanda made the whole thing so wonderful. She posed and photographed me in ways that really highlighted the things I love about my body, all while we giggled over silly jokes and life in general. The entire time, she is taking little breaks to turn the camera around so I can see how great the photos are, all while hyping me up. I just don't think it could have gone any better. She sat with me as I picked the 20 photos that would be on the pages of my photo book, and we chatted like old friends who had a lot of catching to do. And the quality of the final product, you just don't get that quality many places these days. I ordered the book and oh my... The pages are very thick and sturdy. You can choose from a good selection of colors and textures for the cover, all of which are exceptionally beautiful. The photos inside flow together so nicely. The book even has it's own matching wooden box. She offers more products, including those awesome viewfinders from back in the day. I honestly can't say enough how amazing the entire experience was, from start to finish. If I called with any concerns or questions, she responded quickly. The quality of the final product is to die for. I could go on and on, but I just suggest you make the leap and go get those photos done! Boudoir Magic definitely earned every bit of that local #1 title.

She was great with the family as a whole, and did a great job with the photos. Overall, we were pleased with her work. I gave her a lower score because I felt like she was not necessarily savvy when it came to technology. For example, we had to deliver a cashier's check at the beginning instead of being able to use many of the numerous online payment methods. That method of payment definitely favors her but not the consumer. I feel as if she could have received her money and ensured payment through Paypal, and would have cut down on the inconvenience of getting a cashier's check on our end. Secondly, she uses Smugmug photo site (expensive!). It's a great and secure site for photographers, but it's not not good for consumers (not much integration with social apps or other picture sites). I believe she gets a percentage of photos developed through their service because she discouraged us from using other sites like Walgreens, Costco because of apparently diminished quality. You might get away with saying that ten years ago but really not today. Sure, Smugmug delivers a lot of great packages and does awesome large portrait pictures, but we just wanted photos to pass around and maybe get a few framed. I asked about her uploading files to Walgreens, Costco and we would use her approval letter to get them developed, but she didn't respond to those requests. Thirdly, the watermarks. Her watermarks largely obscure the photos in Smugmug. She said it was because of other photographers stealing her work, but Smugmug included tight security that disabled the ability to download or save pictures to other media. It's also a flash site, so it was very hard to access from an iPad or iPhone. Tonya's prices are low and she does a great job, but be prepared to shell out a lot of money for Smugmug photos if you can't wait to get the cd of pictures in the mail. Happily, we received our photos on three separate cds with letters of approval for development. I would recommend Tonya if you are looking at someone who is professional and a good photographer, but not concerned about viewing pictures on your computer, iPad or sharing with friends over email. If you are like me and my family, we love to look at most of our pictures on our computer devices and sometimes get them developed, but this is not as common with us, and I imagine most people today. Fortunately, she delivered high-quality photos on cds so we got the product we wanted eventually.

During a trip to Gulf Shores in June, we engaged Tonya DeAnda Photography to take family…read morephotographs on the beach. There were four adults and three children, ages 9, 11, and 14. Tonya did a wonderful job of setting up the shots, corralling the folks who were excited by the sand and water, and those that tended to wander. She gave clear directions on how to reach the site, and made excellent suggestions as to what to wear. She even made modifications for one of our group who was mobility impaired. We had problems with our mail delivery system which caused us to fail to receive our discs with our images. Tonya went the extra mile to set up our gallery so that we could download our pictures. She never lost patience with our many questions, with our mail problems, or with the extra work she had to do to get our photographs to us. And after all of that, our images were excellent. So nice to have our memories for future reference. Tonya, you made me smile. Thank you.

He was a lot more personable than most and didn't slap me with a bunch of overpriced package deals. He worked so well with us and I am very satisfied with my choice. We were looking for a photographer who would accommodate our family of 8 and not overcharge like most places. Daymaker was it! They were on it from the beginning working with our schedule and even met us at our location. The photgrapher was very nice and polite. He took many great pictures and did not only limit us to 20 or less like most places in the area. We received our pictures back in just a few weeks as promised and they turned out great. I would highly reccommend them to any family visiting the area that is just really wanting a a good amount of captured memories and at a very fair and reasonable price. Thank you for making our first beach family photos a great experience!
