After meeting Master J. Kim, we decided that we wanted to switch. After the first week of adapting to the difference in schools, we can clearly say that we like J. Tigers a lot! Not only are we leaving school feeling more energized, but we have been taught a deeper understanding of the kicks, and forms that have never been explained to us the past 2 years. Master Kim really does care about his students and it shows every day. Very humble, honest, and a great teacher!

There are a number of top ranked competitors that train here. I was involved in a number of Martial Arts systems up into my 30s but I hadn't practiced anything since. Now being in my 50s I got the itch to get involved again but I wasn't interested in competing again. I wanted a more practical self-defense system to learn. I chose Krav Maga and I'm so glad I did. I have learned so much and had so much fun. Casey Boyer is an excellent instructor and the Krav team is a very friendly and fun group. The Krav Maga classes have really hit the spot! If you're searching for a training center, then I'd give Ronin a try. I think you'll be impressed too.

Oh, how can I begin to describe the ways Megakick has changed my family's lives for the better! My…read moreoldest two started at Megakick in September 2020 when, like many parents at the time, I was slightly losing my mind. I quickly saw the impact tae kwon do had on my kids -- they were practicing what they learned in class without being asked, willingly offering to help with things at home, and standing up for each other and their friends in some tough situations. The discipline that Master Kim instills in his students is astonishing. Fast forward several months when I did a trial, fully expecting to quit at the end of it. Instead, I got completely hooked and Megakick quickly became a home away from home. Now, all three kids (5, 7, and 8) and I are in class as many days a week as we can fit in. My kids have learned some amazing skills and their confidence has soared, but can we talk about the benefits *I* get??? I underestimated what a great workout this is- Master Kim will push you EVERY. SINGLE. CLASS. It's THE best stress buster - I may or may not visualize certain faces on the target after a particularly stressful day. Because of Megakick, I have increased my strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence. I often joke that my kids bullied me into starting tae kwon do (which is really only kind of a joke), but it's the energetic environment and inclusive culture that Master Kim and Mrs. Kim have created that keep us all coming back. You can feel it the first time you walk through the doors. All of the instructors and staff are truly invested in the success of their students. They lead with a kind firmness, empathy, humor. And you can regularly see just how effective they are -- you can see it in the way the entire dojang rallies around a student struggling to break a board, or in the compassion students show each other when one is disappointed in the results of a competition. I've watched families show up for tournaments to support Megakick when their kids weren't competing (and even commit to staying the *entire* day); walk in parades together; attend each other's kids' birthday parties; support the demo team at local events; and throw baby showers. You won't find another business so invested in its community: Sponsor City of Powell events? Sponsor events at various Olentangy schools? Host free events like bully busters for local kids? Support its students in their other activities? Host donation drives to support the community? I could go on and on. I won't pretend there aren't days that one or more of us is walking into class with a 'tude, but there is never a day that we leave the same way. I cannot think of another place I would voluntarily spend 90% of my free time. 10,000/10 would recommend!
