I don't think a proper groom should take less than 45 minutes? I had to finish what he neglected to do! He deshedded instead of what I was quoted, he did not need deshedding and it ruined his top coat. I have owned Golden Retriever's for over 50 years. Worst groom ever! I can do it better myself. Would not recommend ? He definitely was not professionally trained in Grooming?

Since then he has been groomed occasionally at another place that I LOVE. I only brought him to ruff cuts the first time bc I was in a jam. They left a bad taste in my mouth then, and they did again today. The groomer herself doesn't seem to have as much as an attitude problem as the woman working the desk who might be the owner. Not quite sure. I left a 15 dollar tip and did not receive a thank you. And as I was walking out the woman behind the desk said "we hope to see him again. Sooner than 2 years next time!" To which I responded "he has been to other places since then". I found her comment rude and judgemental. A piece of advice: you don't know people's financial situations or what has been going on in their lives that would prevent them from grooming their dog. I'm not saying this is my situation but if it was, I would have been quite hurt. If I had to choose between paying bills and feeding my kids, the dog grooming bill would be last on my list. Our dog is well taken care of and part of our family. I resent your snotty tone when you called my home to pick him up and your attitude when I arrived to take him home. When I picked her up her eyes were raw, I presume from their cleaning techniques and she wouldn't open one of her eyes. By the next day her eye was so bad I had to take her to the vet and they diagnosed her with a scratched cornea. While that may not sound that serious of an issue, it's over a month later and her eye still has a depression where she was hurt. I called Lauren about it and she said that nothing unusual happened during the grooming appointment. I found that hard to believe and if that was the case, no dog is safe in her care. When I called I was told they were booked till the following week but that she could squeeze Teddy in for a sanity shave and a clean up around his face and nail trim. That way I could have a little time to get him in for a full groom. The woman I spoke with was friendly and helpful. I was out of town so my mom brought Teddy over the next day and they cleaned him up. The woman who was cleaning him up stayed a little after they closed to finish the job and let my mom stay with Teddy the whole time. She went above and beyond and he looked good. The prices are reasonable as well. I will definitely be bringing him back to Happy Tails for a full groom!

I know alot of groomers just shave long hair dogs like mine.. and shes been shaved before at another place and I just did not like it, my dog just is meant to have some fluff. so the accommodations they made to fulfill my wishes made me very impressed and happy. And instead of a bandana she got an adorable bow. She was a complete messy mop before and they really transformed her.
