I was rather unsure whether to go with Danziger when I was first presented with them. I remember looking at the reviews and saw some unsettling ones.
Our wedding was planned from abroad, and I didn't have the benefit of a wide choice of Jewish vendors, so I did, as you are now, look through some reviews to assess the situation.
We were lucky enough to get Kathy Ramos as the face of Danziger. This woman is just the most wonderful human being! When we first came to meet her in person, I was a bit doubtful, had just had an argument with my fiance, and my brain was swimming with hesitation. She immediately put us at ease with her charm and light. A day that was not going so well, turned into something special.
She asked us if there was something we'd like that wasn't listed in their vast repertoire of dishes. My fiance told her about an obscure Persian dish which he grew up loving, and it was clear how meaningful this was to him. She told him they'd done something like that before and went over the recipe with him. The man had tears in his eyes. He was so touched.
There was never a moment that Kathy didn't offer advice, from helping me in my immense ineptitude to set up a schedule of the day, to pinpointing any detail to make it perfect. She even offered to coordinate our walk down the aisle. She made my headaches go away! It was not something in her job description, it was something in her nature. I don't know if we paid her enough for her generosity and her quiet magic. I'm not sure one can place a figure on that kind of value.
Every time I came in to see her, or spoke to her on the phone, she was kind and supportive and made me to promise her to enjoy myself above all. To let go of everything, the planning, the nerves, and partake in the celebration that I was putting together.
This woman made my day, literally! Kudos to Danziger for hiring such a great lady! I can't thank her enough.
The food was fantastic, by the way, our tasting blew us away and the cake was made just to the image I'd asked. But more and more I see, that there is nothing like the right person at the right time to make or break a celebration, or even just your day. And, I tell you, this was a winning combination. Thank you Kathy! read more
