Quintessential bourbon museum. The prices for rare bottles are secondary but, If you want it, they have it. Even the non allocated selection is great though and I ended up getting good prices on some bottles I hadn't seen elsewhere. There's something for everyone. read more

This is a nice sized store with some great prices and a friendly owner. It's not some mega chain yet they have a vast inventory. I love coming here even though it's not the closest to me. The number one differentiator in any business is customer service. The owner goes the extra mile to help and make sure you are happy with your purchase. The prices are more than fair and if you become a regular they get even better! For example, I needed champagne to propose, and know nothing about it. The staff spent 30 minutes with me explaining the difference and even talked me out of the Dom. Which makes me feel like they care more about the experience than just profit. read more

About a month or so ago, I decided to venture out to the great white north, Pflugerville, and peruse their liquor stores looking for some specific bourbons. Dany's ended up being the last place I went to. The store itself is very nicely appointed and clean. Pretty large selection too. The problem? They have some really nice products that are relatively allocated and hard to find. Why is that a drawback? It's not! It's really not! The problem then? They're charging secondary aka black market pricing for said items. A few of them had a 100% markup from MSRP. That's just ridiculous. I asked how much a bottle of whiskey who's MSRP is $40. $80 he said. I whistled, laughed and thanked him and left. Everyone is a customer and we all have choices to make on where we spend our money. I personally will go out of my way to avoid Dany's Liquor based on the owner 'Desh' and how he treated another person in my presence. If I had an interest in this business I would never allow him to interact with customers. read more

I see a couple reviews that say the owner is rude, that is the complete opposite of my experience. I have experienced nothing but great customer service. Furthermore, they have a great selection of liquor. I mainly buy whiskey and I have been able to find things here that I have not been able to find at Specs or Total Wine...and wouldn't even look for at Twin Liquors. Ex: Stagg Jr. and Willet Pot Still Reserve. It is true that their prices are a little higher; for example, on this day 12yr Redbreast is $58 here and $55 at Total Wine. However, I am happy to pay the increased price in order to help support a business that takes the time to ensure a high quality of products. Seriously, if you want a good whiskey you can basically just grab a random bottle from the shelf. This is my go-to liquor store. read more

We love Desh and Dany's Liquor. Desh always suggests great beverages and good alternatives to the usual. For example I was in shopping for Bailey's and he suggested we try Tres Leche. It's now our favorite and we have turned our whole family onto it. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. Try visiting on a Friday or Saturday evening and meet beverage reps and get free samples. I have to seconded Peter's review, almost word for word. I have never bought kegs from here, but I have bought numerous specialty crafts beers and expensive liquors here. The prices are reasonable, and if you stop by fairly regularly he will knock a couple bucks off anything that isn't on sale. And right now Desh, the owner, is doing special events on the weekends. Last weekend we got a fifth of gentleman jack as a gift for someone and got it engraved for free. He's always throwing in little gifts, some I'm not too excited about like jello shots, others, like my Jameson t-shirt, are awesome. The owner's son (I think) is also pretty into craft beer and has some great stuff you can't really find anywhere but the flag store or specs, except it's right here in my neighborhood. They have cold and warm bombers of stuff like rogness, dogfish head sah-tea, stone ruination and old guardian, and more. Don't let the sketchy looking shopping center deter you. This place and the people who work here are gems. The only reason we have gone to specs since discovering this place was so we could get good beer in cans for camping. Otherwise, this is our go-to place for our personal cocktails, craft beer, gift bottles, cooking, and whatever else. And if they don't have what you need, I have no doubt Desh will order it for you. read more

Every time I've come here I've gotten a smile, a proper greeting and great customer service. That goes a long way with me, personally. They have a, pretty, varied, selection and several pleasant surprises, amongst the inventory. The prices are competitive and every time I go in, they have a good deal going on. I went to this store for this first time tonight. I was greeted by a very nice lady at a vodka display. After sampling a couple of product she talked me into buying a couple of bottles. After my purchase I hear a man yelling at her and being very disrespectful, verbally abusive and flat out rude to her. To my dismay it turns out to be the owner of the business. I think that was so uncalled for and not warranted by any means. Had I not had an appointment to get to I would have walked right back in and returned want I had purchased immediately. I will bring doing so first thing in the morning. An owner of a business has no right to treat people like that and does not deserve my business. I have been visiting Dany's since 2004 and always get great customer service, prices, and products. The gentleman is so sweet and helpful. I am very frugal so he always recommends inexpensive alternatives, great specials, and often lets me test a new product before I buy it. Quite often he has taste testing and specials. He recommends tasty drinks for parties as well, from coffee with the girl friends to a summer cook out to a wild new year's eve party,...he's got great ideas for celebrating in fashion!
