Champion Cycling - The new bike. Thanks, Eugene!

I was new to cycling and went to two shops here in Fort Smith. One was Champion and the other…read moreScott's. Champion was EXTREMELY good at fitting me to my needs. They did an outstanding job giving me the 101 on bikes and safety equipment. I was impressed that he made sure my test bike was fitted to me and aired up. He also explained the differences in bikes of each price range without pushing me to buy bigger. I'm sorry to say, that i did NOT purchase my bike from there, but i did purchase my wife's from Champion. I DID purchase from Scott's, while they are very friendly and knowledgeable, knowing i was new to riding, they did not fit me to the bike, did not air up my tires before a test ride, and when i asked about helmets they just pointed to the direction where they where stacked. I would buy what i needed from Scott's, its a good shop, but if you're new to biking and need more hands on i would definitely go to Champion. Ive since spent hundreds on accessories from Champion with the same great customer service and input on products. Thanks guys.

I strongly advise potential buyers to read this review before doing business with this retailer…read more Do not purchase from this bike shop if you expect reliable customer service or the safe delivery of your bike. I ordered an electric bike from Champion Cycling to be shipped to California. It arrived damaged due to inadequate packaging and poor handling. The 65 lb electric bike was placed inside a large box without any protective material securing it in place. Consequently, the bike suffered significant impact during transit, resulting in a cracked stem that required replacement. When I reached out to the store owner, Eugene Kirsh, to resolve the issue, he initially attempted to remedy it by providing a replacement part. However, the bike incurred further internal damages to the front and rear wheels from the transit impact, which is now evidenced by a loud, grinding noise when pushing the bike. Because of these structural issues, the bike has never been ridable. When I requested a return because of the blunt-force damage the bike sustained, the owner refused to cover the significant return shipping fee. As a merchant, it is their responsibility to ensure a product arrives safely or to file a claim with the shipping carrier to make it right. For reasons unknown, a claim was never filed by the merchant. Instead, the business blamed the carrier and left me responsible for a broken product that cannot be used. This is an incredibly unprofessional business practice. I will continue to pursue this matter. I highly recommend seeking out a different bike shop that stands behind its products and delivery service.
