Fryways is located in the Polaris food court. You may have heard it called Friedays in the past but…read morethe name changed because TGI fridays was a party pooper. This is such a great establishment. A local small business food truck turned to food stand. They have a stand in the Schottenstein center at OSU as well. The menu has a lot of options. Regular fries if you're feeling plain, but normal chili or chili cheese too. The fun stuff are the ones with several toppings. I ended up going with chicken bacon ranch. Flaming hot out of the grease fries topped with chicken, ranch, bbq , cheese sauce, and bacon....wow they were good. Pro tip: get a small!!! I got a small and still ended up taking half of it home. It's more than enough for 2 people with all the toppings . Overall great establishment, cant wait to go back for more.

Something about it was very classic and I loved it. Very hot and fresh fries with such flavor! We will be back!

Honestly, they should be more than the price they are charging, seriously. I rarely say that as the Mr. Krabs I am but, seriously, they are charging State Fair prices for gourmet funnel cakes. They should be double if you ask me especially since they are big, shareable, and customizable. Currently, as of yesterday, they wrote, "Don't miss this summers introductory rate for our new trailer! It's right across from the Franklinton library branch. Their menu is pretty extensive with lots of staples (Nashville chicken sandwich, burgers, fries, tacos, and wings). We tried wings because they advertised a special for $1.50 per wing on Wednesday night. They have a ton of sauce options. We went with Nashville hot, Steph's Way, and toxic sauce for the cauliflower bites. Portions were fantastic for the price. The Nashville hot was my favorite. Not too hot with just enough kick. The Steph's Way was a bit salty, but had a nice lemony flavor. All wing meat was cooked perfectly. Food is cooked to order and they will text you when ready. I can't wait to come back to try their other sauces and menu items.

Its a new location for them but sounds like they were working out of other locations in the past. Upon walking up, the cashier was super nice and since we were interested in wings, she described the various sauces they had. We ended up getting 6 steph's way which is a garlic parmesan based sauce, 6 nashville hot, and an order of cauliflower bites. Food is made to order so it took a bit of time before our food was ready. They text you when your foods ready for pickup so you can wait in your car or walk over to the library. Food was amazing, wings were huge and the bake-fry left the wings perfectly cooked and juicy. The nashville hot was my personal favorite sauce of the night. The steph's way was just a tad too salty for me but still great overall. I'll have to come back to try some of their other offerings but so far, super impressed with their wings! Can't wait to come back

Koshary King occupies a modest-sized white trailer at the intersection of Hudson & Summit, in the…read moreparking lot just north of Punk Pigs. The trailer showed up a few days ago; there's a whiteboard menu in front, plus a pretty solid website on the internets. Their tagline is "Egyptian Street Food", so it's not surprising to find hummus, baba ghanouj, and falafel on the menu. The hummus and baba ghanouj are pretty solid renditions of the type; nicely-made, with a generous helping of olive oil, and a side of crispy pita chips to dip them in. Koshary King also has a couple of dishes on their menu that I haven't encountered before in C'bus; their namesake koshary, and mesaka'a. The mesaka'a is a mix of fried eggplant and peppers, with tomato, served room temperature with pita chips for dipping. It's light and subtle and fresh, and a nice side dish. The koshary is a mix of rice, 3 kinds of pasta (angel hair, spaghetti, and macaroni), and lentils, topped with a spicy tomato sauce, fried onions, and chickpeas. If you're looking to carbo load, this is the dish for you. It's a lot of food; I got two servings out of my takeout plate of koshary. Initially, I wasn't that impressed by it, but it grew on me - the second day serving seemed tastier than the first night, as if the flavors had blended together. Personally, I'd like a little more of the spicy tomato sauce and fried onions, and maybe a little less pasta. Maybe Koshary King will read this review, and adjust their proportions a little bit. Koshary King's version of falafel was surprisingly good - a generous helping of coarse, chunky falafel served in a nice tender pita, with a smear of hummus, tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles. I've had a lot of falafel in C'bus, and this was definitely one of the best I've had. The also have a few dessert selections. The rice pudding was simple but tasty; since my first visit, they've added a second rice pudding, which is oven-baked to finish. It's a dollar more, but definitely worth the Washington. The basboosa is a cake made of semolina wheat, with some dried coconut, and a bit of syrup. It's one of my new favorite things in C'bus; sweet without being cloying, and elevated because of the coconut. Definitely don't miss this. As we head into a challenging autumn, with the pandemic on the upswing, it's a pleasant surprise to discover a place like Koshary King. It's nice to know that people are still taking chances, opening new businesses, and serving the food that they grew up with. It's one of the things I really love about Columbus. Koshary King is a great addition, and I'm happy to have them in the neighborhood.

Everything in the building was very clean and organized, I saw no spills or dirty tables at all. There is only one 2-seat table inside along with some benches lining the sides. This is very understandable due to the limited space. However, there are a few picnic tables outside that were also extremely clean and tidy. Would definitely come back!
