Never ask for a low taper fade! I made the mistake of going here and the way he did my hair makes it look like the shop burned down in the middle of the haircut. The interior was ok and kinda had some cool lookin posters but that didn't make up for the haircut. The vibe was very sporty considering the tv. But it was negative because he was more focused on the tv than my hair. The lines he put on my hair is like night and day difference. I went in a few days ago, asked for a fade on the and that is all. I did not think anything of it however, once I got home and showered, I there was a bunch of on the back of my neck. Dan's barber shop is clean, bright and simple. He was quick, maybe a bit too quick because before I could say anything, he'd already clipped my side down with a 2.5. I had said I like to go from a 2.5 and grade up to a 3 or 4. Usually I like my hair to be more squared and have a longer transition on top. The front spike is also more arrow head pointed and doesn't fan out which id prefer. So all in all, my hair is uniform but missing some of the style I prefer. Can't always be perfect on the first try so I'll be back and be more specific with my preferences next time. read more

Great experience, I took my 3 year old son for his first real haircut and Dan knocked it out of the park, the colorful comics and sports pictures on the wall kept his attention and the lollipop at the end sealed the deal, my son keeps asking when he is going to see Dan again! I was initially excited to get the razor neck shave until I got home and my wife noticed my butchered neck. I got cut not only by the razor but by careless use of the buzzer. Ouch! For the past 10 yrs, I've bounced around from barber to barber. Simply because, they never seem to listen. I always leave saying "damn, that's not what I asked for." And if I've ever gone back or called, asking to have it redone, they always give me a grocery list of reasons why they can't, and how much it'll cost to come back. Unlike these other places, Dan, not only listens, but spends as much time as needed to ensure I'm happy. The other day, I came in with a photo. Something I had never had done before. A style he had never done either. He spent about five minutes studying the photo, began working. He not only nailed it, but, spend a few extra minutes, ensuring that this was exactly what I was looking for. His work with the straight blade is second to none. What a relief to step out of the lousy chain shops and snooty salons and into a real old-tyme barber shop. The place is new so there aren't a lot of chairs or old dudes hanging around yet but the cuts are sharp and the sports commentary is spot-on. Haircut, beard and mustache trim, trimmed the ear hair (yes men grow hair in their ears) and eyebrows as well. Super job no nicks or cuts, all the lines were straight. Shop is clean and well furnished. Dan will now be my go to barber. Bottom line is that Dan is a nice guy who tries really hard to make his clients happy. read more

Do not go to this barber shop...repeat, do not go to Dan's Barber Shop. This guy in my opinion is 1) very weird 2) is a terrible barber. Incompetent and just plain lousy. I would rather have someone repeatedly kick me in the testicles on the sidewalk outside Dan's shop than ever enter there again. Dan is not only odd but extremely argumentative (seems to argue about everything, absolutely miserable), plus he constantly complains about the other barber in town. The last time I was there, and I mean last, he cut half of my head (my glasses were off so I didn't realize until I got home), left hair all over me and just basically butchered my head, drawing blood. I called Dan and he laughed. He sucks. I think he has some mental health issues. If Ray Charles were still alive I'd have him cut my hair before Dan. read more

Went there with my 8 year old son who is on Autistic spectrum. My son sat in the chair and Dan asked him a question which my son did not answer as he sometimes gets overwhelmed and says nothing. Dan then said very loudly to me and right in front of my son "Is he autistic?" Needless to say my son has been asking me for days afterwards if he's autistic. This Dan guy is a complete idiot! Great conversation, comfortable shop, and he trimmed my beard, which was just starting out and had gotten pretty scruffy. Also offered advice on products, etc. at the end of the cut. Dan is a great barber. He gave me exactly what I asked for and also gave my 5 year old a nice cut and my one year old his first haircut. (It's by far the best haircut on a baby I've ever seen.) I asked this kid to change out his razor blade. He would go out in back to "change" the blade. I realized that he wasn't changing them after he carved up my head and then blamed me for it. I was looking for another barber as this kid was never wrong and always had to have the last word.
