If I could give 0 stars I would. Went in for a 9 year olds haircut. We asked for short on the sides with a taper and to take a little off the top. My son's hair just about reached his eyes and was about hitting his ears on the sides. The guy literally gave him a buz cut all around same length. No fade only a few centimeters off the scalp. We had gone to this barber shop once in the past when our son was a little younger and he did the same thing then but decided to give him another shot. My son is really upset and hates the haircut. This is one I could have done on my own. Barber was friendly and personable but lacks following through on what the customer asks for. read more

Never ask for a low taper fade! I made the mistake of going here and the way he did my hair makes it look like the shop burned down in the middle of the haircut. The interior was ok and kinda had some cool lookin posters but that didn't make up for the haircut. The vibe was very sporty considering the tv. But it was negative because he was more focused on the tv than my hair. The lines he put on my hair is like night and day difference. I don't know how anyone who owns a barbershop could ever do this but he managed to pull it off. He should have barbers license revoked. Don't come here! read more

Dan's Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Millis, Massachusetts

I went in a few days ago, asked for a fade on the and that is all. I did not think anything of it however, once I got home and showered, I there was a bunch of on the back of my neck. The experience was not great either besides the razor burns. I felt uncomfortable in his shop. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE, especially when there are better barbers not far away. read more

Worst haircut ever- asked for a trim- he kept talking and cutting had to tell him to shut up and stop cutting- left there looking like a mental patient- could have done better doing it myself. first and last time.looked like I was back in bootcamp LOL read more

I feel like he is ready to yell at me the moment I say anything. Picked up on his sports love so I decided to talk a bit about sports..... yikes..... hair cuts are fine not great but the "beside manner" is non-existent. I think he has his favorites and if you aren't one you're SOL... something is just off.... just off... read more

I'm totally surprised with other reviews, Dan's a great guy who always does a great cut. I've missed being away and not able to go see him for the last few months stumbled across these when looking for opening times for tomorrow and in my experience these reviews don't ring true. Google reviews seem far more accurate read more

I said a 3 on the side. Instead I got a 2. I asked it was a 3 and he said yes. Will never go back.

I always receive a great haircut from Dan, quick but not too fast. Not much discussion, but courteous. I have been coming to Dan for 2+ years and will continue to do so. read more

Dan's barber shop is clean, bright and simple. He was quick, maybe a bit too quick because before I could say anything, he'd already clipped my side down with a 2.5. I had said I like to go from a 2.5 and grade up to a 3 or 4. Usually I like my hair to be more squared and have a longer transition on top. The front spike is also more arrow head pointed and doesn't fan out which id prefer. So all in all, my hair is uniform but missing some of the style I prefer. Can't always be perfect on the first try so I'll be back and be more specific with my preferences next time. read more

Great experience, I took my 3 year old son for his first real haircut and Dan knocked it out of the park, the colorful comics and sports pictures on the wall kept his attention and the lollipop at the end sealed the deal, my son keeps asking when he is going to see Dan again! Dan couldn't have been nicer and dealt with a very fidgety toddler with grace. I highly recommend! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! He obviously does NOT care. This is the worst, most lopsided, unprofessional haircut my boyfriend has ever had. To boot, it's unhygienic, dirty, and the guy is rude and rushed. read more

Out of towner needing a beard & stache trim. Called Dan , he said come on down no line. I have one of those shaved heads so facial hair is real important to me. Turns out Dan had same shaved head. Great job on my handle bar stache . Will definitely go back next time in Millis Bill Crosley read more

I was initially excited to get the razor neck shave until I got home and my wife noticed my butchered neck. I got cut not only by the razor but by careless use of the buzzer. Ouch! You can check out the photos to see the results. I would have thought he would have apologized or at least told me to go home and put antibiotic on it. read more

For the past 10 yrs, I've bounced around from barber to barber. Simply because, they never seem to listen. I always leave saying "damn, that's not what I asked for." And if I've ever gone back or called, asking to have it redone, they always give me a grocery list of reasons why they can't, and how much it'll cost to come back. Unlike these other places, Dan, not only listens, but spends as much time as needed to ensure I'm happy. The other day, I came in with a photo. Something I had never had done before. A style he had never done either. He spent about five minutes studying the photo, began working. He not only nailed it, but, spend a few extra minutes, ensuring that this was exactly what I was looking for. His work with the straight blade is second to none. If you need your haircut, and you live in the MetroWest, spend the extra 10 to 15 minutes to come here. Because, you will get exactly what you're asking for. read more

horrible. I thought Dan was slow upon first meeting him. He started questioning me on who I previously got my hair cut with (I work nearby). He looked like he was confused, like he thought he had met me before. He started stumbling around, went into the back room and when he came out was sweating profusely. He asked me if I knew Phil. I got up said I had to go and moved quickly out the door! read more

What a relief to step out of the lousy chain shops and snooty salons and into a real old-tyme barber shop. The place is new so there aren't a lot of chairs or old dudes hanging around yet but the cuts are sharp and the sports commentary is spot-on. This is also a local independent business which makes it a valuable part of the community! read more

I cannot believe people bring their kids to this guy. As the previous reviews indicate, Dan appears to be an enormous jerk. He was aggressively battling the customer in front of me over sports-even though the guy was agreeing with everything he said. I agree with the poster who suggested some sort of mental problems. This isn't a guy who should be involved in customer service. Not a good guy. Very bad experience. read more

Dan needs to clean up the hair on the floor and the chair in between customer haircuts. Sick of walking through other people's hair and sitting on it as well. Will give one more shot and if problem still exists will seek other barber. read more

Haircut, beard and mustache trim, trimmed the ear hair (yes men grow hair in their ears) and eyebrows as well. Super job no nicks or cuts, all the lines were straight. Shop is clean and well furnished. Dan will now be my go to barber. Bottom line is that Dan is a nice guy who tries really hard to make his clients happy. read more

Great place fast service great price always recommend Dan is always friendly fast and professional nice to walk in and have someone no the way you want your hair cut read more

Do not go to this barber shop...repeat, do not go to Dan's Barber Shop. This guy in my opinion is 1) very weird 2) is a terrible barber. Incompetent and just plain lousy. Good place to recommend to someone you hate so he can damage their head Seriously, this guy has to be he worst barber in Massachusetts....and I have gone to quite a few through the years. Look elsewhere. ....bring towels with you if you decide to get a get a haircut to wipe away the blood....Dan is the original medieval barber. Expect to lose some blood when you get cut....and I mean cut when I say cut. He comes down so hard with the razor on your head you wonder if getting a haircut from ISIS would be a better option. Worst haircuts I ever got were from Dan's Barber Shop. Dan is as bald as a cue ball by the way. I can understand why. This guy must hate hair. This dude is a really baaaad barber. On an exponential level. Stay away...consider yourself warned. Multiple times. This is about as objective as I can be. I hate to be this negative, but Dan is an awful barber. He should pay his customers...not the other way around. read more

didn't open on time gave me attitude for waiting outside the door like its my fault he's late. good haircut bad attitude. he should rename it Grumpy's read more

So Dan cut another head and still made him pay for the botch job he did, don't go here and if you do you better hope his equiptment is sterilized as he is drawing blood! read more

I would rather have someone repeatedly kick me in the testicles on the sidewalk outside Dan's shop than ever enter there again. Dan is not only odd but extremely argumentative (seems to argue about everything, absolutely miserable), plus he constantly complains about the other barber in town. The last time I was there, and I mean last, he cut half of my head (my glasses were off so I didn't realize until I got home), left hair all over me and just basically butchered my head, drawing blood. I called Dan and he laughed. He sucks. I think he has some mental health issues. If Ray Charles were still alive I'd have him cut my hair before Dan. read more

Went there with my 8 year old son who is on Autistic spectrum. My son sat in the chair and Dan asked him a question which my son did not answer as he sometimes gets overwhelmed and says nothing. Dan then said very loudly to me and right in front of my son "Is he autistic?" Needless to say my son has been asking me for days afterwards if he's autistic. This Dan guy is a complete idiot! AVOID! read more

Dan did a great job, totally fixing up a lousy haircut I had gotten a few weeks before. Great conversation, comfortable shop, and he trimmed my beard, which was just starting out and had gotten pretty scruffy. Also offered advice on products, etc. at the end of the cut. Great experience overall! read more

Dan is a great barber. He gave me exactly what I asked for and also gave my 5 year old a nice cut and my one year old his first haircut. (It's by far the best haircut on a baby I've ever seen.) The shop is well maintained and Dan is a very nice guy. The whole experience was a pleasure. We will be going back! read more

I asked this kid to change out his razor blade. He would go out in back to "change" the blade. I realized that he wasn't changing them after he carved up my head and then blamed me for it. I was looking for another barber as this kid was never wrong and always had to have the last word. Well, here's my last word avoid this guy's shop, his dull, dirty razor-blades and his arrogant, I'm better than you attitude. There's a great shop just over the line in Medfield, next to the bank on 109. read more

Dan is a nice guy, and did a great job cutting my hair. This is a nice change from the rather random quality I would get at SuperCuts. Given Dan's Barber Shop a try. read more
