I originally found Robin Sherman online before we were even thinking about selling our home. As a…read morebusiness owner myself, I was so impressed with what I had read about Robin and her company that I made it a point to meet her in person and introduce myself. Needless to say, I was super impressed with her practical approach to buying and selling real estate--no hype, just keeping it real and getting results. A few months later, my husband and I decided to list our home for sale and Robin was the first person I thought of to list our home, despite knowing many realtors. Robin came over to the house for a walk through, well prepared with recent comps. and a listing of all comparable homes currently on the market. She didn't tell us what she thought we wanted to hear. She told us the truth about what she thought our house was worth and what it would take in the way of 'sprucing up' to have it sell. I also liked the idea that Robin works with my many buyers moving into the area and wanted a realtor who would actively be working to sell our home. She wouldn't just be a realtor who sticks her sign in the front yard and waits for other realtors to bring the showings. As Robin herself says, a For Sale sign sitting long-term in someone's yard simply screams, "this realtor can't sell my house!" My husband and I were impressed. We took her advice, did the work that needed to be done to get it show ready and listed it a few weeks later. Although our home was in a higher price point ($625K), Robin brought us a buyer and we had a contract within 55 days! The contract closed last month. I am signing Robin's praises to everyone who asks me how in the world we sold our house so quickly in this market. Although there is never a guarantee about how quickly your house will sell, if you follow Robin's advice and be realistic about what your house is worth in the current market, you will have a great shot at selling quickly. Robin is now helping us look around for another home to buy and she is just as professional to work with as a buyer as she is to work with as a seller. Robin rocks!

I had the gas company come out to take a look at it. The pilot had went out on the water heater so the tech lit it back and said that he didn't know why it went out, but if it happens again or continues to happen that the wiring was probably going bad and that it would need to be replaced. Also, this was a $45 same day service fee that will be added to my next gas bill. Two days later on Thursday, April 5 my hot water stopped working once again. I went out to the garage and tried to light the pilot as the tech showed me how if it was to go out again. The pilot would not light at all. On Friday April 6 I had the gas company come back out once again. The technician discovered that the pilot would not light again and that the water heater would have to be replaced. I emailed my landlord and she said that she would have to schedule an appointment with a repair man because "she wanted a second opinion". It's monday April 9, currently 5 days without hot water and this property company doesn't seem to care that they occupied a house that had a broken water heater.

I was matched with Paul Hostman from ERA Legacy in Pensacola through the Navy Federal Realty Plus…read morereferral program to purchase a home. Initially, Paul was responsive, promptly arranging viewings for homes we selected online. However, his service declined significantly after we submitted an offer. Paul failed to explain critical Florida-specific regulations regarding post-inspection repairs, particularly the dollar amount limitations for repair requests. Had we been informed, we would have structured our offer differently. We provided Paul with a prioritized list of repairs, but he included non-essential items and was vague in describing the repair expectations. Throughout the process, we received unclear responses about the status of repairs and no documentation, such as receipts or invoices, to confirm completion. Despite assurances that all repairs were done, our final walkthrough revealed that key issues, including an unsafe exterior deck and missing window caulking, were not addressed. The opposing agent pushed for an early closing, which we agreed to, trusting Paul's assurances. However, the promised caulking was never completed, and Paul stopped responding to our follow-ups. Regarding the deck, I offered to handle the labor if costs were covered, and Paul agreed, stating that if he couldn't get the other agent to cover the costs his brokerage would (ERA Legacy Realty). After submitting receipts for the work I completed, he never responded or followed through on reimbursement. Once the home closed, I was completely ghosted. Paul's lack of transparency, poor communication, and unfulfilled promises--seemingly to rush the closing--left us feeling misled and unsupported. I cannot recommend his services based on this experience. Two stars only because he did an ok job getting us access to homes we wanted to look at.
