History
Established in 2016.
Though the business is new, the owner Dan Carter, or Danimal as his friends know him, has been on a lifelong yoga journey. Dan first found yoga in 2007 when attending a summer camp for nerds, one class and he was hooked. Since then he has received his 200 hr Teacher Training from Yoga District, Foam Rolling/Self Massage Training from Past Tense and a 50 hr Rocket Yoga Certification from his teacher David Kyle.
Dan's approach to yoga is to find a routine that works for an individual's body and then blend it with his own firey style full of laughter and humor. He truly believes that comedy can be the greatest medicine for the body.

Meet the Business Owner: Dan-imal C.
Dan Carter, known to his students as Danimal, is an RYT 200 in Washington D.C. where he teaches Rocket, Vinyasa and Foam Rolling. He began practicing yoga in 2007 when attending a summer camp for nerds. Danimal's practice is inspired by nature and the creatures that inhabit it, which includes poses, breath work and philosophical talks revolving around an animal of his choice. Though his practices are often challenging and firey, he is also dedicated to the healing qualities of yoga and its sibling practice of myofascial release. Danimal completed Yoga District's 200-hour Intensive Yoga Teacher Training in Washington, DC, as well as a 50-hour Rocket Yoga training with his teacher David Kyle.
