Amazing spot. My husband and I were researching restaurants in Amatitan Jalisco and this came well…read morerecommended. We showed up a few minutes after opening, luggage in tow, and were seated almost immediately. When we were sat at our spot, we walked through part of the property and some ruins.
The entrance boasted some old wooden furniture and what seemed like a formal dining room complete with (empty) cabinets and barrels used for aging tequila.
When we walked through, we saw some ponds (complete with koi and turtles), grassy areas, trees, bridges, and other historic and picturesque scenic views. They also made artesinal tequilas onsite that they offered tastes of.
My husband and I opted for two options: Shrimp with rice and salad, as well as a meat dish in some sort of stew. They came with warm tortillas and sauces. We also got 2 glasses of their artesanal tequila. The food came out quickly and was full of flavor. The portions were the perfect size--not too big or small, and the tequila was honestly pretty nice. There were a few additives in the products, but it still went down smoothly.
It was a nice relaxing spot, but we didn't go on the cave tour to see the ruins. Since we were pressed for time, we opted to leave. It was a nice setting and enviroment, and seemed to be quite a few people coming in to either enjoy the views or eat at this spot. The restaurant has street parking and there were plenty of spots when we were looking in the area.
Can't wait to return for a future visit.
