The answer was my child application was still incomplete. At that point, their admission process was pointless, and I was no longer interested sending my child there. However, they already withdrew my $75 back in November. Why would they take my money when application was incomplete, and they didn't perform child assessment yet. Long story short, they gave out absurd excuses and the whole process was just a mess. Big waste of time and money. Out of multiple schools I applied to, this school was by far the most disorganized, money-driven school. I highly doubt quality of education from this school. I'm glad my child will be attending other school.

I was once accused of something I wasn't involved in, and it became a traumatic experience that affected my mental health for a long time. I was interrogated about something I had no knowledge of, pressured to admit to something I didn't even understand, and made to feel guilty for something I didn't do. The emotional toll this took on me was huge. Even after the situation was resolved, a teacher continued to imply that I "deserved" the treatment I received. While I was there, the school environment felt more about fear than safety. There wasn't much room to express problems freely, and the atmosphere was isolating, especially since the class was so small. The academic focus was heavy on memorization, but without much critical thinking or deeper learning. I think that lack of a supportive environment, both academically and emotionally, made things harder than they needed to be. I share this experience not to attack anyone, but because I believe the school needs to reflect on how it handles its students, particularly in moments of conflict or misunderstanding. One moment that still stands out happened during lunch when I was seated with younger students, around 9 years old. One of the kids criticized another student for eating McDonald's because it was "unhealthy" and claimed he never ate fast food. I pointed out that he was literally eating Subway, which is also fast food, and called him a hypocrite. The child started crying, reported me to the principal, and I was immediately pulled into the office. Instead of handling the situation rationally, the principal accused me of using a "curse word" because I said "hypocrite," then launched into a religious lecture about how God curses hypocrites and how I should never use that word, even if what I said was true. It felt less like discipline and more like being shamed for basic honesty and critical thinking. The school also enforced rules in ways that felt extreme and disconnected from reality. At one point I had a very short haircut, yet staff told me it was "haram" because the sides were faded -- despite the top being just as short and not even long enough to comb. It came across as nitpicking appearances rather than focusing on education or character. What made the environment even more infantilizing was the way students were treated regardless of age. I was 14 years old and still being escorted around 15 feet to my father's car by a student patrol member who was literally 9 years old. Experiences like this made the school feel unnecessarily controlling and embarrassing instead of supportive or academically focused. Academically, I genuinely have no idea what kind of education this school advertises or how my parents believed it was acceptable. Looking back, I'm extremely glad I was pulled out. The school seemed far more focused on religious studies than on building strong academic foundations, yet many of the instructors did not seem qualified to properly teach either. I remember answering extremely basic questions that any average 9th grader in a public school should know, and the students around me reacted as if I were some kind of genius. The academic standard honestly did not feel comparable to even a general education class in Fairfax County public schools. If your goal is for your child to become well-rounded, intellectually sharp, and properly prepared for higher education or the real world, I would strongly reconsider enrolling them here. Unless your only priority is having your child heavily immersed in the school's particular interpretation of Islam and religious instruction, I believe the academic environment does students a disservice rather than helping them grow.

The education was stellar, and it prepared me extremely well for my future in junior high school. I have fond memories of mooning my first grade teacher at the encouragement of a fellow student, and afternoon meetings in The Pod, where on at least one occasion the anti-smoking people came to pass around chunks of blackened lung inside plastic to scare us away from that filthy habit. It worked. There was also a safety video depicting kids being taken on stretchers into ambulances... because naughty kids who threw things had injured them. My fondest memory of this place, however, was of the air raids. Once monthly or so, we'd practice the end of times when the air raid signal went off and we'd go into the halls, line up against the walls, duck and cover, expecting chunks of the ceiling to rain down upon our heads. I should start by saying I'm an educator myself and this was a bad experience. 1. Our child…read moreattended an after school activity and the bus from that activity came to pick her up. Around October my husband went to watch our child's activity about 30 minutes after she was supposed to arrive and she was not there. When we asked the people in charge of the activity they said the school informed them our child wasn't there. However she did attend school that day and we hadn't heard anything. We began calling the school and I was about to call the police. In the end, the school forgot to get her to the bus and when they discovered this, instead of calling to inform us, they called the activity place to come back to pick our child up. It took over 45 minutes for her to get to her destination and in that time we didn't know what was happening or where she was. We did meet with the assistant principal(AP) who did take responsibility for their mistake. 2. After my mother, a retired elementary principal went on a field trip with our child's class she told me I needed to volunteer to observe what was happening in the classroom. I did just that. Upon arrival the class was still in a special. I was alerted to their return down the hallway to yelling, noise, and one student running into various empty classrooms. The students arrived and the teacher left the para, who happened to be a substitute, with 29 students. I started pulling groups to read in the hallway. Each time I entered the classroom chaos was occurring. One child was running around hitting others, another child was flipping his chair and actually tripped me, another child took her book bag and hit it over the head of another. The para was almost in tears asking me how to call the office for help. I, as the parent, went and got help. All the while, my child was sitting at her desk almost in tears and begging me to take her home. 3. I called a meeting with the AP about what I had witnessed. She was upset and claimed she would fix things. I was invited to observe again and that time during carpet time one child went up to another and kicked her in the head. The AP looked at me embarrassed and said something to the child. No children were listening and it was chaos again. 4. During COVID I realized my child was well behind in reading. I needed to put her on a program to catch her up. If she hadn't been home due to COVID she would not be able to read. We pulled her out and she is now thriving.

From my personal experience, this school's attention and love for the kids is as good as it gets. The experience and education these kids get is amazing. I feel so lucky every time I think about having such an amazing school for my kids to attend. Both of our kids just love the program and it has felt amazing to see how much they have grown from attending the school and interacting with the other kids. Not to mention, the staff, the headmaster and his family, are all so incredibly kind and an excellent reflection of core Christian values that I want my son to be influenced by. Ms. Weathers pours her heart into these children and my son adores her! She is incredibly sweet and my son always comes home talking about nothing but positive experiences with this teacher. I recommend this school to all my fellow Christians who want a solid Christian education for their children. They are doing it right here
