Bethany skillfully personalizes her methods for each dog's unique personality, making the training not only effective but also a bonding experience. Her compassionate demeanor puts Biscuit and Buddy at ease, creating a safe and encouraging learning environment. They get SO excited when they hear Bethany arrive. They also feel safe and happy when they board with Bethany, which gives us incredible peace of mind. We're so grateful for Bethany's expertise and dedication. After researching multiple places we chose UGA Veterinary Hospital and are glad we did. Everyone was phenomenal from our initial contact with Stephanie who was most informative and helpful, to our vet student Riley, and Dr Venier who performed the surgery. We could not be more pleased with the quality of care, knowledge and concern for our dog that everyone demonstrated. This was not an inexpensive procedure but UGA costs were very reasonable compared to other facilities.

The process to secure an appointment is not particularly lengthy but we did have to make our date 3 months in advance. UGA VTH has an emergency department for urgent care cases. Our experience was very satisfying. Dr Timothy Vernier and his student assistant, Lexi, explained what we could expect from our day and after an initial evaluation we asked for a set of xrays so we could have a good starting point for regular annual evaluations to determine the progression of his condition. Our final meeting wrapped up a thorough and, we think, productive day. We found the fees reasonable and comparable to what we paid in the past for evaluations of this kind with other dogs. All in all, we recommend UGA VTH for your small animal's healthcare. P.S. While you're there read the book about the wonderful pets, large and small, furry and feathered, all loved and brought to UGA VTH for treatment.

I was calling around to all the vets in the Athens/Oconee area and getting pricing because having a dog's teeth cleaned can be very expensive. (Our previous vet in Atlanta, a great vet, whom we loved and trusted, was quite expensive.) I think I spoke with 16 vet offices, and I was most impressed with Holly, the office manager, at Central Oconee Animal Clinic. She went into great detail explaining how Dr. Mathias would take all the additional precautions necessary to protect the health of my 14 year old dog. This gave me confidence to proceed with the cleaning, and their price was reasonable, too. They also worked with us to accommodate our schedule. Since Dr. Mathias didn't know anything about our dog, she conducted a very thorough physical exam to determine if it was safe to clean her teeth (and, of course, did blood work also). We were pleased with the experience. We had found our Oconee County vet. Our dog was later diagnosed with chronic kidney failure, for which there is no cure. All you can do is try to prolong the dog's life as long as there is some quality of life left to enjoy. Dr. Mathias was extremely caring and compassionate. She was very thoughtful and careful in every medication prescribed and every test she performed. She always explained all test results in detail. She took a lot of time with us, and her fees were very reasonable. She explained what all our options were, so that we could make informed decisions. When the day came to say goodbye to our sweet girl, Dr. Mathias and Leslie, one the great tech's at Central Oconee, were kind enough to come to our home. I would highly recommend Dr. Mathias and everyone at Central Oconee Animal Clinic.

Tina is an exceptional dog trainer who transformed our Luna from a nervous, unsocialized rescue to…read morea confident, playful companion. Her intuitive approach and gentle guidance helped Luna overcome her fears through group classes and dog sitting. During classes, Tina gently built a rapport with Luna (who was suspicious of everyone), and when we needed a dog-sitter we knew that Tina was the one. We were surprised that everytime Luna came back from dog-sitting with Tina, she appeared more confident and playful. I believe that this is the result of Tina carefully selecting playmates for Luna, and progressively challenging her with bigger, more energetic playmates as Luna was ready. Tina went above and beyond during our baby's arrival, providing crucial guidance in introducing Luna to our new baby. Her flexibility and care at that time were remarkable - even picking up Luna in the middle of the night during a home emergency. Thanks to Tina's expert training, Luna now plays confidently with other dogs and has adapted beautifully to the major life changes inherent in having a new baby in the house. If I could rate higher than 5 stars, I absolutely would!

She said the tech said that my son called her a whore under his breath. I said that absolutely did not happen. My son is not in the habit of calling strangers whores. She said well I've known this tech for years, and she would not lie, and walked out of the room. When the doctor came in, I told him I wanted an apology from the lady for calling us liars.
