I came across Kree's Yelp page because of how close she was, but what really stood out was her website--the caliber and vibrancy of her photos were incredible. I knew right away she'd be a perfect fit for capturing my niece, both in her cap and gown and in her super colorful prom dress (which I was confident Kree could do justice!). From the moment I reached out, Kree was super responsive and easy to communicate with. The contract was simple and straightforward, pricing was fair and the breakdown of her packages were awesome. and she helped us agree on a time and location that worked perfectly, not far from our house either, which was a huge plus. On the day of the shoot, Kree arrived right on time and immediately made my niece feel comfortable. Since it was my niece's first time being professionally photographed, I appreciated how Kree guided her with poses and gave her direction to bring out her best angles. She was friendly, patient, and made the whole experience fun. We received the edited photos about two weeks later, and they were amazing, better than I could have imagined. Kree truly captured my niece's personality and the significance of the moment. Highlights for me: super responsive communication, an easy-to-understand contract, a convenient location, her friendly demeanor, and of course, the beautiful final photos. Thanks so much Kree!!!

I received around 80 edited proofs to choose from, and there were plenty of great options for my final selections. She also offers a wardrobe with beautiful dresses, as well as some clothing options for men. The location suggestions she provided were excellent, and she did a great job capturing the style and vibe I had in mind. That said, I do feel the need to mention some concerns about professionalism and turnaround time. Her contract states that proofs will be delivered within 2-4 weeks. While 4 weeks already feels a bit long, I was patient and checked in about once a week for updates. When the 4-week mark passed without receiving anything, I was disappointed. I ended up receiving the proofs after 4 weeks and 3 days. I reviewed and returned my selections the same day, but her contract didn't specify a timeline for final edits, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The final images were delivered 15 days later. When I received them, it seemed like the only changes made were removing the watermarks. Some photos still had bags and other items in the background, even though she had mentioned those would be edited out. Communication was also inconsistent. There were times when my messages were read but not answered, and at one point--about two weeks after the shoot--she indicated she hadn't started editing yet. It left me feeling like my time and excitement weren't fully considered. By the time I received my maternity photos, my baby was already three weeks old, and I had already shared photos of her arrival, despite scheduling the shoot at 34 weeks as recommended. Would I recommend Melissa? Yes, but with some expectations in mind. Her pricing is fair, and you do receive a large number of photos. However, turnaround time may be slower than expected, and communication can feel a bit casual at times. (She did provide 5 additional images to make up for the delay in delivering the proofs.) I had originally intended to do a new born shoot with her as well but I was waiting for my maternity photos to make sure I really liked them and unfortunately by the time I received them my baby was outside the 7-14 day old window she wants for newborns. Between that and the turn around time I decided against it.

From all the props, swaddles, costumes, baby accessories ... to a changing table and extra diapers in the restroom for baby! Her photographs were also beyond what I could have expected. She even made me look refreshed despite how I was feeling at the time, having had very little sleep. Overall, would highly recommend!! Lori has such a fun, friendly, and upbeat personality, which greeted us upon entrance to her adorable studio. She even had our newborn baby's name written on the sign outside to welcome us, which I regrettably forgot to take a picture of. :( We knew to plan for about a three hour session, as all of the information we needed to prepare was sent by Lori via email as well as conveniently available on her website. Lori was so patient and really took her time in order to get the best shots- immediately recommending that the baby be fed so she would be sleepy for photos. Watching Lori at work was inspiring- so meticulous in her posing of the family and baby, making sure that every last hair was in place and every little detail was captured. She was also great about ensuring adequate time for diaper changes and nursing, understanding that these elements are critical in the ability to capture a beautiful photograph. I'm beyond excited to see the final resulting images, and overall extremely happy with our decision to work with Lori in capturing such a precious time in our lives- the welcoming of our newborn daughter. She was shocked that I hired her having only looked at her portfolio, but I knew from the photos she had of another wedding at my venue that she would do a great job. I appreciate her working with my husband who is camera shy and managing to document beautiful moments with our chaotic (but sweet) families. I met with her during the engagement shoot and absolutely fell in love with her. We hit it off and I couldn't wait for my big day. On the day of my wedding, I couldn't have asked for a better turnout. She kept me calm and laughing leading up to the aisle, and she brought tears of joy to my eyes when I saw the photos after. Her photos captured the night so perfectly and will forever be cherished. Now the hard part is deciding which photos to include in the album. It is going to be a tough choice with so many great shots to choose from. Shortly after my wedding, I had an engagement with an organization I belong to at work and was in charge of finding a photographer. It was an easy task for me having just had my wedding. So, she worked with me within the parameters needed, as our organization was a non-profit, and came up with multiple packages for the attendees to choose from. Throughout the night, I watched as the line grew longer for the photos and was pleased to see everyone laughing and smiling and seeming to be enjoying themselves while they were working with her. She and her staff were non-stop that night and all of the photos were sent out in a timely manner as promised. Since then, I have had nothing but positive feedback from those that had their photos taken and have even heard from others that they regretted not taking photos that night as they had seen her work and wished they had. I was looking to take in-studio maternity photos near Los Gatos and filled out a few inquiry forms. Another photographer responded, gave available dates, and asked for a deposit. I put that session on my calendar and then Gaby called me. She took the time to get to know me, ask about my pregnancy journey, wanted to see a Pinterest board of pictures I liked, then asked to come over to see my belly. She said she likes to book sessions based on belly size, not by week of pregnancy because everyone grows at different rates. This level of personalization and thoughtfulness made me cancel my initial booking and go with Gaby. And I am so grateful this is how she works because when she saw me, she said my belly is already big and we should take the shoot next week. Much sooner than I thought - 24 weeks, but I am so so glad to have done photos earlier because now at 28 weeks, I feel swollen and way less attractive, and my initial booking with the other photographer wouldn't have been until week 32! A few highlights of my experience with Gaby: - Wardrobe consultation was extremely helpful and took the stress off me to figure out what to wear and how to match my husband. - In-studio hair and makeup were provided so it was one less thing to worry about day-of and book separately. Her artist is also sooo talented and did a great job. - Gaby provided a bottle of red wine for my husband while he waited for my hair and makeup. He LOVED it and had a blast drinking the bottle throughout the shoot. This and the little touches like robe and slippers, snacks, and drinks made our shoot so much more relaxed and enjoyable. - I thought my Pinterest board was just for inspiration. What surprised me was Gaby took the time and energy to basically recreate every picture and pose I liked. Setting up the shoot, lighting, everything. My husband and I are also not super comfortable in front of the camera and she was so patient directing us, fixing hair, and making adjustments. - We could not be happier with how our pictures turned out. Absolutely stunning. It was a long and tough journey for me to get pregnant, and I'm so grateful to have such beautiful pictures to remember this pregnancy by. I also really appreciated how responsive Gaby was, answering my millions of questions and providing a few retouched photos earlier so I could have them in time for my baby shower. She is the absolute best and I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Gaby for everything!!
