So I will start by saying I have never met Dr. GREGORY SMITH. I have had two doctors while at this practice. One was Dr. Agnes a nice African woman she was on Stockton Blvd and Citrus Heights and when Stockton closed she was mainly at the Folsom location. When she had help and not triple booked vs NO help was night and day. You could tell serious agitation when she was overwhelmed and it showed through her mood swing changes. I was her patient for a little over a year and for the rest of my three-year membership, I have been with Dr. Edward Arias. Dr. Arias is amazing he is quick, precise, and very relatable on the human side. There are certain restrictions doctors are bound by the powers that be so there will be times when you may need something but the doctor cannot Approve the search request now. Dr. Arias has always been very attentive and will always get back to me if a phone call is requested by me my mother also attends this practice and her doctor called in two days before she needed her medication and the type of medication she receive could not be refilled by just anyone, they tried to schedule my mom an appointment two weeks prior. I'm sorry two weeks after that day which would've been 12 days without medication. She gets very very excited and her anxiety kicks in at times 10 when she hears such things so I had to call Lynn and request the doctor Arias call me. He called me within a couple of hours and asked what was going on. I explained to him my mother's situation he immediately went into her chart And asked where the medication needed to go just for verification and then sent it easy that right there to me sums up the type of doctor he is we know everyone's bodies are different that's what makes us all unique something may hurt me at a level four, but they may hurt the next person level 10 yet when prescribing medication, they lump us all into general chart Dr. Arias will always go over and beyond for his patients. If you have the pleasure make sure you let him know I sent cha - Ashley S

She assured us that the best way to reach her was via the Dignity Healthcare portal. We'll, it took over a week to get a response to a concern. It turned out she was out of office so that was a very good reason however, someone should have been responding in her absence. Then recently, we had a dire need for a prescription renewal. It. We had to resort to contacting another doctor to renew the thyroid medication as we were now completely out. It seems to be a lapse in commutation from the portal messages to the doctor and visa versa. We are greatly disappointed and pray this type of service does not happen to anyone else.

Dr Ansari is the reason I switched to Dignity! Although, I have had to follow up with a call to her team a few times, I am convinced it is a processing, workflow issue that Dignity as well as my previous provider, needs to address, not De Ansari! If I had the power, I would make the "process" of referrals, documentation, follow up, etc. smoother via better training. Until then, I decided to be my own advocate in order to keep this wonderful doctor. Actually, It has gotten even better now that I have modified my expectations and do what I can to move things along... often with a reminder call, and patience.

The user ID changed to "Sac Crawfish" and as of today, the number is now a Google Voice number. This is ridiculous. I even attempted to call the primary physician's number and it goes straight to voicemail. Why have a phone line when you don't plan to answer? There's no email option either. We'll just have to show up to ask a simple question.

So they have English speaking patients also. . Internal medicine is not easy to find with domestic insurances and in our own neighborhood , a small clinic of multiple fly by night New Doctors is cool but having a small Dr office feel is much better. They are great with walk ins and unlike most Drs who take Medicare or Medi-cal they don't book appointments 3 months out. Since COVID most clinics are over booked and make you feel like a number. My Dad I is his patient for years now with a hiccup due to insurance issue. My Dad has Alzheimer's / Dementia and his staff is so good and warm to all the seniors and i am appreciative of this. The phone lines which I have read in some reviews are an issue. I just tried to call them during business hours after 3pm on a Wednesday and said customer unavailable, this is an issue. I have had a few issues with referrals, but this is not only medi-cal Dr who have this problem. So, unfortunately if you are disabled and on Medi-cal, this is an issue. But, I am very happy with Dr. Vue and his Staff.

About a year ago I came in to see Enrico Del Pozo because I had over a weekend suddenly gotten very…read moreill, extremely fatigued, easily out of breath, lightheaded, nauseous, weak, shaky, and pale. He said fatigue is such a broad thing and there's not really anything to test for, and when I tried to give him more details he ignored or dismissed me. He also suggested the only other thing affecting my energy could be my mood. He reordered basic labs anyway and found I had low iron, then prescribed me iron supplements, but even on the supplements I was still getting worse by the day. My mom took me to urgent care, and when they couldn't figure out what was going on but could see how sick I was, told me to go to the ER. It turns out I was severely dehydrated and I felt so much better after having an IV. With how quickly I was deteriorating over the course of just a few days, I don't know what would've happened if I had listened solely to my provider when he said to just see him again in eight weeks. I never want to see him again for anything. After that experience of being dismissed, I'd rather see literally anyone than Del Pozo again, but there weren't any other doctors accepting patients at this clinic so I went to the only other place accepting patients, the residency at Lawrence J. Ellison Ambulatory Care Center in Sacramento, and as it turns out, the residents are LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than these poor excuses for doctors could ever be. The residents actually listen and care about you unlike the doctors here! My new PCP who's a resident, Dr. Jacob Reed, is so kind and knowledgeable and he's helped me to finally figure out what my "IBS-D" really was--Bile Acid Malabsorption! I'm on medication and for the first time in my life I don't need to worry about being within steps of a bathroom! That medication had me eating completely normally again within a week (even coffee!), it's a COMPLETE night and day difference! I can finally leave the house again and actually see my friends again! So because my years of gut issues were finally solved, I wanted to help my dad finally figure out HIS issues, too, because doctors have brushed off his issues for decades. I accompanied my dad to his GI appointment with Asha Gupta Cogdill to help advocate for his gut issues, which he's had his whole life, but have been getting progressively worse and worse the past 18 years. He has constant left-sided abdominal pain, every second of every day, from the moment he wakes up to the moment he goes to sleep every day, for the past 18 years. Growing up, I can't remember a time when he's ever been able to eat normally. He lives off of tiny little bites of protein bars throughout the day because anything more, even water, makes his left-sided abdominal pain worse. He's tried everything that's recommended of IBS (low FODMAP, probiotics, antidepressants, Linzess, Colace, Miralax, peppermint capsules, proton pump inhibitors) but nothing has helped at all. He's had a few tests that have come back clean, but I'm still concerned he might have something that's going unaddressed that isn't IBS and that, as his daughter, because I DO have Bile Acid Malabsorption (which isn't IBS) I was wondering if, since we're related, that maybe I inherited a condition like that from him? Asha Cogdill then said to me, in response to that, "I really think you're just grasping at straws". Excuse me? Is it so far-fetched that genetics are a thing? I asked about more testing anyway and she said she "didn't want to go down a rabbit hole of testing and testing" and she didn't want to give him a CT scan because of the "radiation". Seriously? I've had a CT scan without any issue for MY gut issues! She acts like a CT scan will kill you! But I guess she thinks it's better to throw things at a wall and see what sticks rather than find out what's actually going on? She prescribed PPIs again and suggested peppermint capsules "Heather's Tummy Tamers" are you kidding me? Is this a joke?! We waited 4 months for this appointment--we could've gotten the same advice from CVS' MinuteClinic! I heard Asha's leaving the practice, to that I say GOOD RIDDANCE! My dad also injured his pinky finger about a week ago, and although xrays ruled out fracture or dislocation, they showed a soft tissue injury, and he hasn't been able to straighten his finger since, but NO ONE has reached out to discuss treatment for this in any way, not even to tell him if he needs a splint. I'm worried if this isn't addressed soon it'll heal wrong and he'll never be able to fully extend his finger again. Why do we as the patients have to constantly hound the doctors to get ANYTHING done? The doctors never take any initiative, I don't understand what they're even there for! If you want my advice, DON'T even bother with this useless waste of time clinic with its dismissive, disrespectful doctors. See any of the residents at 4860 Y street instead, they're sweet and listen to you. My favorite is Dr. Reed, he's the best!

One of the things that stood out the most was how much time she took to actually listen to my 11-year-old. Anyone with a pre-teen or teen knows how important that is. It's something to be said about a doctor who really sees and hears their patient--especially when that patient is a kid who's starting to find their voice. From the start, the whole visit ran smoothly. We arrived a few minutes early and were seen right away. The facility was very clean and organized, and once we were in the room, the doctor came in shortly after. Nothing about the appointment felt rushed, which is something I really appreciate in a medical setting. There was also a bit of a full-circle feeling for me being there. I've actually been coming to this facility since I was a teenager myself, so bringing my own child here now feels pretty special. Helpful tip: If you have a child or teen, encourage them to ask their own questions during the appointment. Dr. E really takes the time to listen and respond thoughtfully. It's not always easy to find a family practice doctor who balances efficiency with genuine care, but this visit reminded me why I've trusted this clinic for so many years.
