Been meaning to come here for a while my friends always tells me it's a must and wow I'm so glad I…read moredid!!! I've never tasted anything like it! If u love eating healthy or if ur like me and want to but keep making excuses haha then u have to come here!!!! At first when I checked the menu I was like oh god this sounds horrible hahaaaa -All natural vegetation and that -stuff I've never tasted... I actually had to look around and see what everyone else was having and wow I was like I'll grab that one haaa and was so shocked at the taste IT WAS SO GOOD!!!! I'm obsessed and have to go back soon! I was lucky I actually had a SCOOPON voucher pay $30 get $60 to spend! So I was hella lucky!!! X

This is a second location for the Cardamom Pod, a vegetarian (apparently vegan) brunch place (the…read morefirst is south of here at Broadbeach). The location itself I'm not a huge fan of. It's not close to the beach or on the tram line, so it wasn't the easiest thing to get to. Moreover, because it took a while to reach, I arrived just after their breakfast had ended and their lunch started. Looking at the breakfast menu, this was a tad disappointing. That being said, the crunchy tofu rolls I ended up were ethnically indiscernible but tasty, combining a Vietnamese presentation with a very Indian-ish dipping sauce and some marinated mango. They were amply spicy and sweet, and with avocado accompanying the tofu, reasonably filling. Their menu on the whole is quite lavish (and expensive). And yet, despite being a pricey pure plant-based restaurant at a non-ideal location, it was kind of busy. Gold Coast, man, I'm telling you. Most parts of the world, there aren't too many fancy vegetarian restaurants and the ones that exist sometimes struggle, but I just can't stop running into them here, and they're doing fine. I imagine I'll be back for some of their chickpea flour breakfast dishes sometime.

Must "eat" when you are traveling at Golden Coast …read more Fish & chips is your first choice from the menu. Enjoy your time outside of the restaurant.

Have to give this a rating of 5 because they deserve it. Have eaten here numerous times over the…read morepast few years but this is our first one since COVID. Peter's is still around and booming for one thing. Second is they have barely increased their prices as compared to everyone else on that Gold Coast!!! We arrived and there was still a line out the door if the fish market at 4:00PM. They shut down the kitchen at 7:00PM. Remember this is a fish market. They had added many more picnic benches that kind of line the street and have a few at the end of the little street overlooking the water. So, you pick out your seafood, stand in line and when it's your turn you tell them how you want it cooked. We ordered a meal that consisted of 7 large fried shrimp(crumbled prawn cutlets)and order of fries and a large bottled soda. Total check was $24 AUDs....about $16US. Our number was quickly called and we retrieved our food. Sat outside and had a delightful late afternoon lunch/early dinner. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. And the fries were plentiful and nicely seasoned with salt. Both the shrimp and fries had a nice crisp. Remember this is a fish market. Service is great if you are ok standing in line for a boating to order. Staff is there willing to help Seafood is described as to type and labeled whether it is freshly caught or has been previously frozen. What more does one want. Highly recommend even though I shouldn't because the place is already always packed. Remember this is casual dining and it is simple! Enjoy!
