Auto detail job? A- grade…read more Auto window tinting job? D- grade Need your car detailed at an okay price in the local area? Maybe let 'em do that. Need window tint? Oh, hell, no. Sloppy work, high price, snotty attitude. In fact, the window tint job was so bad that I would never return as a customer for a car detail job. (I had a car detailed first and then a separate car's windows tinted in the fall of 2019.) When I returned to ask about flaws in the window tint job (air bubbles still present & visible after 2 weeks), the owner told me it was a 14-year-old car and that's how the windows on older cars are. That's a complete lie since I've had the windows of multiple (6 or 7) previous older vehicles tinted with no problems whatsoever and the vehicles were much older than the one taken to DJ's Prime Shine. My suggestion: have the Mexicans in Nashville tint your car's windows - their work is flawless and lasts forever. As of the first of March, 2020, I have a corner of the window tint peeling on the top edge of a window. I have NEVER had window tint peel off a window. And I'm not even going to mess with going back to Prime Shine to see if they have a warranty on this garbage. Interestingly enough, I've had the Mexicans' window tint jobs last for many, many years on 20-to-25-year-old cars with no problems at all. Obviously, this is poor workmanship with substandard materials. Bottom line: take your business elsewhere. I should've driven to Nashville instead of being lazy by having the windows tinted locally. *** The Mexican window tint guys to whom I'm referring work at Chino Window Tint, 3031 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN - 615.977.6238 - they do fantastic work! ***

If you don't want to wait six months to get your car back, then go somewhere else. Shockley had my…read morecar from August 11, 2025, to February 16, 2026. I had to email them constantly to see what was going on. Not once did anyone there contact me. On October 29, 2025, I was told it would be painted 'next week'. Then on November 16, 2025, I was told it would be painted that week. December 4, 2025, it would be ready 'next week'. December 22, 2025, it would be ready 'tomorrow'. Nothing. After emailing him again and getting angrier as time went on, he finally admitted on January 6, 2026, that he agreed 100% that it was taking too long. I gave him until mid-February. He said yeah, if not 'this week', on January 6, 2026. I'm finally told to pick it up at five, February 13, 2026. I get there. It is not ready. I'm told they want to detail it. Their idea of detailing and mine are completely different. They sprayed it with a water hose. We also discovered while there, there were two runs in the paint. The headlight on the driver's side is not lined up with the hood. There is a big gap. There is also a jagged corner on the other headlight. You're probably wondering why I didn't say anything. Well because I didn't want to wait another six months. I will take it to someone else. I do have photos and every email we exchanged. Also, they broke the window regulator. Said they'd order a new one and replace it. Yeah, a month ago and I never heard from them. They also ran all of the gas out of my car, and I can't figure out how. I never drive that car with less than a quarter tank, so I know it had gas. It was empty. The 'low fuel light' empty. They should have replaced that. He will also try to raise the price on you. He tried to add two thousand more than what he quoted me. I refused to pay it. Legally, he cannot raise a price more than 15% and he tried to raise it by 31%. One word of advice if you're thinking of taking your car to Shockley: Don't.

It feels like everything went downhill from there. I rarely drive - but when I do, it's long haul. During my 7 hour drive North, I realized my windshield wipers no longer worked whatsoever on Auto setting. If I hit a bump, my wipers would suddenly turn on max speed bunot if it was raining. Then, my rear view mirror feel off. Bought my car new (2022) and have not had a single issue. Not only was it EXTREMELY difficult to get a human on the phone to assist - soonest appointment online was two weeks out. Finally got in contact with the local shop who sent the same repair man out to look it over. I still have no mirror and duct tape holding up the mount. I had to call to follow up with next steps and am still waiting to hear back. You'd think there would be some sense of urgency to assist - nope. Words cannot express my annoyance with it all. Safelite has only managed to make the experience terrible. I was better off with the cracked glass... Let's see how many more times I have to call for actual assistance. They've tried to blame the manufacture's mount, not matter how many times I tell them the adhered mount was never broken. I've been left with a car that legally shouldn't be driven and a trip scheduled in three days that I may have no car for. Safelite may replace, but they in no way shape or form repair. **update - going on three weeks now with duct tape holding up my rear view mirror and absolutely no idea what's going on because no matter how many times I've asked for resolution or a manger to call me back I get crickets. June 10th appt. cancelled by Safelite with no provided follow up or ETA. I waited two weeks for that appointment. What can I do to get some assistance?

I travel so had to schedule in to make this happen as the car is usually at the airport and they don't work weekends. This evening after business hours I get an automated message that I cancelled. I have a call and message from a hidden number asking me to call back which seems to go nowhere as no one answers. No human is available to explain why after over two weeks they cancel with no explanation. Just a chance to book another appointment on line. Mind you their automated system has text me every fees days want me to prepay or remind me about my appointment. Even Labor Day evening got a text reminding me of my pending appointment. No service, no quality no concern for the customer. Just a catchy jingle and lots of commercials to cover up their lack of business sense.
