    Havent been to a dentist in years…read more I started getting BAD pain on my left side. Decided to find a dentist on Yelp worth a visit. I found Dr. Genco and gave him a call. I called his office and got him, which was kind of a shock since I was expecting a secretary. I thought that was cool. I told him about my situation and went in the next day. I showed up a hour before he closed. He not only was SUPER cool, but very caring. After filing out some quick paperwork he brought me in. Before he even began he told me the most important thing for him is to make sure I never feel any pain. He did some visual checks... immediately told me the reason I was feeling alot of pain, as well as being lethargic was because my teeth were infected. He took some XRays and showed me the results. He quickly prescribed me antibiotics and explained our plans to get these teeth fixed. Throughout the whole process he was VERY caring. Something you rarely see from a dentist or even doctor nowadays. They usually finish you up and ask for the next one. Im planning to go back in a week or so to start fixing up these teeth. highly recommend him because hes really cool and caring.

My wife had an abscess and he had given us his personal cell number to call if it got any worse. He was actually on vacation when we called him and he stayed on the line with us and talked the emergency room dentist through what needed to be done. He's a man who loves his job and you can tell. He's constantly educating himself on the newest technologies and it makes a huge difference. I got a crown from him that even I am unable to tell where it starts and my tooth begins. If I could give him 10 stars, I would.

    I made an appointment with Dr. Goodman for a root canal. When I arrived at the office I was the…read moreonly one in the waiting room and they took me back right away. As soon as I got in the room the hygienist informed me that my insurance was not accepted, even after I had called the previous day to make sure it was, and that Dr. Goodman would be in to talk to me about the cost without insurance. Although I knew it would not be affordable I figured I would still hear him out. Dr. Goodman came in and began asking about my problem. Before answering I told him that apparently my insurance was not accepted. He said "we'll get to that". Then he began a 20 minute lecture about how if I want quality care done by quality people that I need to pay the money no matter the insurance. He told me that every dentist under the umbrella of my coverage was terrible at their jobs and that I should not settle for less than great work. After nodding until he stopped preaching he finally took a look at the X-ray I brought with me. He then put his blue gloves on and asked me to open my mouth. He touched my tooth once. He reflected back to the X-ray and told me that it would be a complicated procedure and he wants to refer me to a specialist that he recommends. I was confused because I had made an appointment for a root canal, not for another examination for a problem I already knew about. I then asked if he could do anything for the excruciating pain and he told me he could begin the procedure and take away the pain for 250 dollars. When I said I could not afford that he said "don't you have a credit card". I repeated that I could not afford that and he said "Well, then I'll just charge you with an examination fee for today. 75 dollars.". 75 dollars for this man to lecture me, bash my family dentist and touch my tooth one time. 75 dollars for this man to do zero for me and tell me what I already know. I immediately left the room and told the receptionist how messed up it is to not inform me that I would be charged such a ridiculous amount just for stepping foot in the back room. It is absurd that this excuse for a dentist can talk to me like I'm an idiot, do zero to help, and then rob me. The staff has no regard for feelings and this man just seems to want a big paycheck at the expense of a patients health. I would NEVER recommend Dr. Goodman and I am going to make sure I spread the word about my ridiculous experience in this office.
