Hands down the best dentist I've ever met. He takes his time and works with his patients carefully.

I was seen right away, which I really appreciated. Upon arrival, they took a panoramic X-ray, and then once I was seated in the exam chair they completed my regular dental X-rays. My hygienist was absolutely wonderful, very thorough but also incredibly gentle. She even finished by flossing my teeth, which surprisingly many offices skip. She also took the time to show me how to properly floss some of my problem areas, which I found very helpful. Dr. Cirillo was just as thorough. He carefully reviewed my X-rays and discussed his findings with me. I needed a filling replaced, and he was able to take care of it the same day. I also have bonding on my two front teeth that needed some improvement, and he addressed that right away as well. He took his time and worked with great care, and I'm very happy with both the visit and the results. I will absolutely be recommending Bay Dental and Dr. Cirillo to my friends!

After two years, I finally find the courage to write this review...and I am a pretty avid reviewer…read moreon Yelp. In September 2023, I hit my front tooth playing pickleball. It went gray and I consulted with my dental friend from HS and I was told that it went narcotic, meaning the tooth was dead and it was beneficial to take it out. After some research and out of desperation, I called Bay Dental at the Pointe because it was close to me. I gave them my insurance and they checked for me and told me the whole process would be $350ish. But that's when everything went bad. During my initial consultation with Dr. Circosta, I was told to come back and do the procedure the next appt after the initial consultation. But he then told me that since I was here, I might as well do the procedure. I didn't know exactly what that meant at the time, so he proceeded to do the surgery and took my whole tooth out. I kid you not, the experience was so traumatizing I went home and cried for three days straight. During the next appt, I was told that I would be charged an extra $95 because of the consultation, like wtf? I was like, "Fine, I needed this to be done." But then it's like one after another, the communication between what was needed to be done was so bad I felt like I was not taken care of as a patient. The only thing that was good abt this place was that it was a clean facility. Other than that, the dentist was abysmal at making his patient feel confident/good. When I spoke abt the co-pay, he said that was not his job and that I needed to speak to the front desk. And when I asked questions about the whole process with the tooth, I was left feeling like it was my fault. I don't think anyone should feel like that. The dentist might be good at doing his job, but come on, gain a grip on your emotional intelligence. After the whole thing, I believe I paid out of pocket a total of $650+ for the few times I saw them. Three months after the procedure, I went back to my old dentist in East Village for my regular check up because I did not feel good going back to this place at all. After a few x-rays, I found out through my old dentist that the tooth that they installed had a scratch line across. Like what the hell? I don't believe I did anything worthy of showing signs of scratches/cracks already. The overall experience with them was just so very disappointing and frustrating. Here and there when I wake up in the mornings in the last two years, I feel so taken advantage of and upset when my tongue touches my front tooth. I just couldn't justify my experience in my head. To sum, I would not recommend this place. This place is so dishonest and cluster f*ck. I feel like people should know how this place works and make their own judgments.

The program is a family affair, as parents you must be involved with your child's care, my wife and I had to assist with the nightly adjustments, all told less than 5 minutes a night, we also had to remind them to wear the appliance after meals and to bed at night. Now my son is off to college and daughter is getting ready for high school both with no retainers or issues. Orthotropics beats the braces and retainers I had in my mouth for years in high school.

He is a third generation dentist in the same practice. There is no revolving door of multiple dentists and staff who treat you. You always get Dr. Avis and he is the best. The entire office is geared to personal care. The kindness and quality is far beyond any other professional we have encountered. He has corrected poor and troubling work others have done. He takes the time to figure out the real issues. He's up on the latest and practical ways to make our mouths do what they are supposed to do. He is so good our children enjoying going to see him! I can't speak to anyone else's experience. Ours has been amazing. Fillings, extractions, root canal, ortho and cleaning have all gone exceeding well. Our teeth are in far better shape with less fuss. No mistakes! Does your dentist call you later that evening at home to see how you are doing? Does your hygienist do that? Ours does. This is not a factory. It's dentistry. The office is relaxed, gracious and warm. And he sees you on time! If this review seems super passionate it's because we are truly grateful for the care we get. It's a throwback to a time when doctors really knew you well and were really in charge. Avis gets five stars from our family.

They are always readily available to answer all questions and communication between patient and office is prompt and consistent. That's just the receptionist! Everyone there treats the patient with kindness and empathy. The dental hygienist Ashley patiently listened to my concerns and reassured me that everything would be alright. All the latest technology is utilized to accurately diagnose your issue. Dr. Kwok did what no other dentist has done in these procedures --she explained each step, was kind and transparent when there was pain and gave me a timestamp for when the procedure would be over. This is crucial to easing anxiety in patients. I trust her 100%. Thank you to all the staff at Bay Ridge Endodontist! They even called me the next day to follow up! I panicked because I didn't think anyone would be working during the holidays. But I tried anyways, called Dr. Duong immediately and explained to him my situation. He carefully listened to my concerns, cancelled his Christmas Eve plans, and brought me into his office at 6:30pm that night to check on my tooth, and eventually perform the root canal that I desperately needed. To this day, I don't even have words on what an amazing dentist and human being he is. He is super friendly, always willing to help, and just absolutely amazing and meticulous at his craft. I felt so safe knowing that I was in his hands. Highly, highly recommend. Truly a miracle worker!
