The nurses here were friendly and easy to contact, easy to work with, it's the actual dentistry that was a problem. I normally go to a dentist back in my hometown in California, but I had several cavities that needed filling, so I managed to get a series of appointments here. Dr. Reilly doesn't like to do more than 1 cavity in an appointment, so it already required far more appointments than necessary. I drive in from Alfred, which is already a half an hour drive times several appointments. What I don't understand, either, is that he takes approximately one minute to drill, which is great for someone who hates dentists, but bad for actual quality work. My dentist had to redo four fillings in California that Dr. Reilly did here. FOUR. They hadn't been drilled deep enough, and the cavities reformed underneath my fillings. Typically, insurances only allow for one filling per tooth per 3 YEARS, not two in literally a year.

When I arrived at the dental office a few weeks later for my appointment there were six girls standing around chitchatting at the front desk. I filled out my paperwork and had a dental assistant take me back for x-rays. When the doctor came in he did not introduce himself. He stuck his fingers in my mouth to do a cancer screening looked at a couple of my teeth and said set an appointment. At that moment I was in shock I was like I did set an appointment that's why am here I cannot believe I drove an hour to Wellsville and left work early to get a couple of x-rays. They told me I had two cavities but they didn't say how bad they were or how much it would cost me to get them taken care of. They also did not want to do both cavities at the same time for some ridiculous reason. I personally think it's just so they can charge me more money for another appointment. Yesterday my children had their consultation visits, x rays and cleaning at Dr. Shinebarger's office. From the minute we walked in I felt comfortable. The staff was amazing, we were greeted by Erica at the front desk. Then we saw Lindsey for X-rays and the consultation. After that we got to meet Dr. Shinebarger who sat down and talked with us for a lot longer than most dentists who fly in, look in your kids mouth and walk out then charge you $70. This dentist was like no other! He talked to the kids, did a very thorough exam and made them both feel comfortable. When my ten year old smiles and says I really like this place -while at a dentist office?! Then you know it's right. Both of my children had cleanings done by Heather who did an amazing job. I was impressed by all the staff and I felt so relieved when we left because I found an office close to home with a friendly staff that I can trust which is not an easy thing to find these days.
