    I suppose, if I really tried, I could probably do my OWN payroll. Yeah. Like I can do my own…read moreclimbing of Aconcagua. Or run my own 9.8 100 meters. Or remember the lyrics to any song with more than ten words. So, I don't. I just let Ahola take care of all that. (The payroll, not the climbing/running/remembering part.) And they do just a swell job, too, with all the messy paperwork e-mailed every pay period, hard copy snail mailed, end of quarter stuff, end of year stuff. It's so easy, some weeks I just stay in bed, watching Oprah and eating SnackWells. "YOU get SnackWells! And YOU get SnackWells! And YOU..." Here's another aspect of their business, as you can see from the Ohio Historical Marker outside their office and pictured with this review: They are a family-founded company. and they are local. So even my payroll is free-range locavore. How sweet is that, I must ask? And when I have some problem with payroll, as I did just this morning, I can waltz right in and speak with my representative, who remembers me, and my family, and my business, and I don't have to press seven to speak with someone who is pre-ignoring my problem. It's a great family owned…read morecompany which is why we selected AHOLA, in addition to the many referrals we received from other local business owners. They have always gone the extra mile for our business and have always been quick to resolve any issue or questions we might have. I recently implemented their iSolve HIRE portal and it's a great all inclusive system. AHOLA did have a recent issue on October 25, 2019 with the 3rd party ACH (Automated Clearing House) which handles electronic transfers throughout the U.S.. However, the team at AHOLA worked throughout the night and the weekend to resolve the issues, forming new partnerships to ensure this issue never happens again. How any companies out there would go that extra mile to implement corrective action so quickly and only losing one business day. It's a testament to their business resolve and as a Human Resource Manager, I am glad to have them and their resources available to me.

Let's face it, when processing certified payroll you want a company you can rely upon and an expert in payroll + taxes. So I'm truly taken aback by the unprofessional treatment recently received. First take note there is no management structure. If an issue occurs that needs resolution, it's highly unlikely to be resolved in a professional manner. During my implementation, I had a question about tax set up in 2 states. I was thinking about hiring an employee who lived in Oregon and would work in California. I wanted to know how the payroll taxes would be processed. What would the tax set up look like. This is the exact response I received. "We are not tax professionals" and I would need to direct my question to a tax professional. I thought to myself, perhaps I'm asking this question the wrong way. I tried asking another way and was met with the same response and mind you it was not sent with pleasantries it was sarcastic. I then requested to speak with someone from the management team to clarify my question. After a week on not receiving a reply, I was forced to reach out again to obtain support. Needless to say, this went back and forth until I decided P4C did not take my issue seriously. When I asked for the set up fee to be refunded, I was told in no uncertain terms NO. If a payroll company is unable to assist with a simple question about set up for 2 state payroll taxes in a knowledgeable and professional way, it would seem logical to return a set up fee. Who needs this type of nonsense from a company you plan on paying to process your payroll. Think about when you're knee deep in uploading your payroll, you hit the process button and receive a payroll error. Your next option is to call for help and you're told "We are not payroll professionals." Save yourself from this type of company. They do not know what they are doing.
